Abstract

This study focuses on the essential role of fathers in children's education from the perspective of QS Luqman verses 13-19, serving as a foundation for Islamic character development amidst the decreasing involvement of fathers in modern families. The primary goal of this research is to understand and analyze how the values in these verses can guide fathers in shaping the moral and spiritual foundation of their children from an early age. Using a qualitative approach through literature review, data was gathered from prominent Quranic interpretations and relevant academic literature. Thematic analysis reveals that fathers play a critical role in character education by teaching values of monotheism, ethics, and practices of worship that reflect obedience to Allah SWT. Luqman’s example in QS Luqman 13-19 portrays a father instilling principles of patience, gratitude, and humility, advising his son on leading a life based on moral and spiritual integrity. This reinforces the view of fathers as not only providers but also primary educators in nurturing a spiritually and ethically resilient child. The study's implications highlight the importance of active father involvement in children’s moral upbringing, suggesting this as a basis for family policy and parenting approaches to mitigate adverse social influences. This research strengthens the perspective that the father's role in character education is vital for fostering individuals with strong moral character, integrity, and resilience.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the takrir method in enhancing Qur'an memorization at SMP IT Rohmatul Ummah. The takrir method, meaning "repetition" in Arabic, is a widely used technique in memorization learning, where students repeatedly recite verses to strengthen their memory. This research aims to understand the implementation of the takrir method in the school setting and evaluate both supporting factors and challenges faced in its application. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the school principal, teachers, and students. The findings indicate that the takrir method is effective in facilitating students' memorization processes; however, certain challenges must be addressed, such as the need for strict supervision of school regulations, teacher readiness as mentors, and internal support in the form of student motivation as well as external support from the family environment. The implications of this study highlight that the success of the takrir method is greatly influenced by the synergy between school and family in creating a conducive environment for memorization. Recommendations include strengthening coordination between the school and parents and providing better teacher training to ensure that the takrir method can optimally benefit Qur'anic education in schools.

Abstract

This study investigates the contribution of mosque-based youth activities, congregational Dhuhr prayer, and Qur’an memorization (tahfizh) to the development of students’ religious character at SMP Negeri 5 Satu Atap Gegerbitung, Sukabumi Regency, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal-correlational design, the study involved a population of 237 students, from which 70 respondents were selected through proportional sampling techniques. The findings reveal that youth mosque activities do not exhibit a statistically significant contribution to students' religious character (p = 0.123 > 0.05; t = 1.563 < t-table = 1.994). However, congregational Dhuhr prayer and Qur’an memorization were found to significantly contribute to students’ religious character. Specifically, congregational prayer showed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.652 with a determination coefficient (r²) of 0.425 (42.5%), while Qur’an memorization demonstrated a stronger correlation (r = 0.971) with a determination coefficient (r²) of 0.943 (94.3%). Furthermore, the multiple linear regression analysis confirmed that all independent variables collectively contribute to the religious character of students, yielding a combined correlation coefficient (r) of 0.974 and a coefficient of determination (r²) of 0.949 (94.9%). These findings underscore the significant role of school-based religious practices in shaping students’ moral and spiritual development.

Abstract

Masjid merupakan tempat ibadah umat muslim, selaku umat muslim sudah menjadi tugasnya untuk mengurus atau memakmurkan masjid supaya tempat ibadah umat muslim selalu terpenuhi. Salah satu program kerja mahasiswa STAI Sukabumi dalam melaksanakan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) adalah memakmurkan masjid. Adapun tujuan dilaksanakan program tersebut agar meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya meramaikan masjid, sementara itu metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program tersebut adalah, motivasi masyarakat agar selalu shalat berjamaah, mengadakan pengajian rutin, dan mengadakan kegiatan keislaman, mengadakan piket masjid setiap hari. Adapun hasil dari pelaksanaan program tersebut, 1). Masyarakat terbiasa melaksanakan shalat berjamaah, 2). Pengajian anak-anak semakin ramai, 3). Terciptanya tempat ibadah yang bersih dan nyaman. Program KKN memakmurkan masjid (Imaratul Masjid) STAI Sukabumi terlaksana dengan baik.

Abstract

Dalam Undang-undang Sisdiknas Nomor 20 tahun 2003 dijelaskan bahwa tenaga kependidikan adalah anggota masyarakat yang mengabdikan diri dan diangkat untuk menunjang penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Termasuk didalamnya para pengawas yang berkedudukan sebagai supervisor dan fasilitator dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian kualitatif dipilih sebagai jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Pada penelitian fenomenologi metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan berfokus pada interview mendalam (in-depth interviews) dan narasi (narratives) sebagai langkah-langkah utama dalam membuat penjelasan dan penggambaran dari pengalaman yang pernah dialami dalam hidup dan data melalui metode dokumentasi (documentary methods) atau metode visual (visual methods). Dalam pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dibuat menggunakan jenis data yang diperlukan dalam pengumpulan informasi, data yang dibutuhkan berupa data primer dan data sekunder berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Setelah penyajian data hal yang dilakukan selanjutnya menarik kesimpulan dari analisis data-data penelitian yang dilakukan. Pengawas sekolah pada madrasah melaksanakan supervisi manajerial di Kabupaten Sukabumi dengan baik sesuai dengan tugas dan tanggung jawab sebagaimana yang diamanahkan permen. Secara umum dari hasil temuan peneliti atas objek penelitian ini, dapat digarisbawahi, bahwa pelaksanaan supervisi manajerial berjalan dengan baik sebagaimana mestinya. Dari hal ini, pihak pengawas atau sekolah tidak boleh puas dengan pekerjaan atau komunikasi yang sudah dibina selama ini terhadap sekolah tersebut. Namun, yang perlu untuk dicermati, didiskusikan dan diperhatikan juga adalah bagaimana aktivitas supervisi manajerial tetap berlangsung dengan baik, menghasilkan outcome yang diharapkan, dan tidak merasa puas terhadap hasil yang tertinggi, baik itu dari pihak pengawas sekolah maupun warga sekolah itu sendiri.
