Abstract

Introduction: Bullying behavior among nursing students can affect the mental health of students and also the quality of health care in nurses' clinical practice. Objective: The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between demographic factors and bullying behavior of nursing students. Methods: This study is a correlation analytical study using cross sectional design with a sample of 62 nursing students using purposive sampling techniques. Research instrument using the Olweus Bully-Victim Questionnaire (OBVQ-R). Data analyzed with Spearman's rho test through the SPSS 26.0 application. Results: Research shows that there is a significant relationship between bullying victims with age and gender, and there is no significant link between the victim and the bullyer with the academic time span and family income. Conclusions: Educational institutions need to implement bullying behavior prevention programmes and provide counselling to prevent the spread of bullyed behaviour among nursing students in order to promote the mental health of students and the quality of student service in the practice of nurse services.

Abstract

Introduction: Non-infectious degenerative diseases such as gout arthritis usually last a long time and are often found in young people and the elderly. Self-efficacy can be defined as belief in one’s ability to perform a task with the desired result. Ergonomic exercise is given 3 times a week to patients with gout arthritis as a non-pharmacological therapy to reduce uric acid levels. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of ergonomic exercise on Self-efficacy and uric acid levels in gout arthritis sufferers in Tateli Tiga Village, Mandolang District, Minahasa District. Method: This study used a quasy experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population of gout arthritis sufferers at the Tateli Health Center and the people of Tateli Tiga Village, Mandolang District, Minahasa Regency is 68 people. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The result of the analysis using the Wilcoxon test on uric acid levels before and after the intervention obtained a p-value of 0,000 (<0,05), and for Self-efficacy the results obtained a p-value of 0,000 (<0,05). Conclusions: There is a difference between ergonomic exercise on Self-efficacy and uric acid levels in gout arthritis sufferers before and after being given ergonomic exercise.

Abstract

Introduction: The negative impact of bullying can cause a child to become depressed, lack of confidence, feelings of sadness, grief and distress as well as feel stupid and worthless so that their confidence is reduced and make them anxious in socializing with others. Objective: This study aims to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes of students in the prevention of bullying behavior in elementary school children. Method: The pre-experiment research design, using one group pre-post-test, uses a mix questionnaire instrument namely knowledge, attitude and behavior. The intervention provided was counseling using teaching aids. The population is elementary school children at SD XI Kristen Tandu in grades 4-6, Lolak District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The respondents totaled 25 people using the total sampling technique. The statistical test used was the paired t-test with a significant p-value of <0.05. Results: Through the Wilcoxon test, bullying knowledge showed p-value = 0.000. Bullying attitude shows p-value = 0.000. Bullying behavior shows p-value = 0.000. Conclusion: Health education about bullying in elementary school age children using the emo demo method is significantly effective in increasing the knowledge of elementary school children about the negative impact of bullying. The results of this study can add to the insight of teachers, parents and nurses about health education methods for elementary school age children, especially related to the negative impact of bullying behavior

Abstract

Premarital sexual behavior among adolescents is an increasingly complex issue and needs serious attention. Along with the development of the era and changes in social values, adolescent sexual behavior is increasingly diverse. Factors that can influence adolescent sexual behavior are their level of knowledge about sexuality. Previous studies have shown that there is a relationship between knowledge about sexuality and adolescent sexual behavior, but the findings are still diverse. One key aspect in adolescent development is sexual knowledge and behavior. In the era of globalization and advances in information technology, adolescents have increasingly easy access to various information, including about sexuality. Adequate sexual knowledge is very important to help adolescents make responsible decisions regarding their reproductive and sexual health. Objective: to determine the effect of knowledge on adolescent premarital sexual behavior. Method: This study uses quantitative descriptive with an analytical observational approach. The population is all students in grades 10, 11, 12 of SMK Negeri 1 Tondano and the sample in this study is 251 students. Sampling using the purposive sampling method. Results: The results of the analysis using the Spearman rank test with p 0.001 so that knowledge has a significant relationship with premarital sexual behavior. Conclusion: knowledge influences premarital sexual behavior in adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Nurses are human resources that have a major impact on hospital services. One of the implementations of good nursing care is the application of therapeutic communication, so that they can adapt to the problems they face and can take appropriate action for their health. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between workload and attitudes towards the implementation of therapeutic communication for nurses in hospitals. Method: This study uses a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 31 nurses in the inpatient ward, and the sampling technique was total sampling with 31 respondents, with instruments using 3 questionnaires, namely the workload questionnaire, attitude questionnaire and therapeutic communication questionnaire. Results: Shows that workload is related to the implementation of therapeutic communication for nurses and attitudes are related to the implementation of therapeutic communication for nurses. Conclusion: There is a relationship between workload and attitudes of nurses with the implementation of therapeutic communication for nurses in hospitals.

Abstract

Introduction: Stigma is an emotional response that arises from individuals or groups when they give unfair values ​​to others. The impact of the stigma given can make a TB patient isolate themselves because they feel ashamed of their illness so that their treatment is hampered until the recovery process. Health education can be done to increase knowledge and positive attitudes about TB and as one of the interventions in controlling TB Stigma. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of health education with the Interactive Video method about the stigma of TB patients on the knowledge and attitudes of the community in Madidir Ure Village, Bitung City. Method: Pre-experimental method with the one group pre-post-test design. This research design is an experimental design that will be intervened only in one group without a control group. The population in this study were 109 people in Madidir Ure Village, Bitung City and the sampling in this study used purposive sampling for that the number of respondents obtained was 52 respondents with the number of respondents obtained calculated using the Slovin formula. Paired t-statistical test with a significant value of p <0.05. Results: The significance value of knowledge about the stigma of pulmonary TB patients before and after the intervention showed a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). The significance value of attitudes about the stigma of pulmonary TB patients before and after the intervention showed a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusion: There are differences in the level of knowledge and attitudes of the community before and after being given health education in the form of interactive videos about the stigma of pulmonary TB patients in Environment IV, Madidir Ure Village, Bitung City

Abstract

Introduction: The COVID-19 outbreak has made health problems around the world very serious. This virus really affects everyone's lives, from health, work, relationships with other people, trust, to school. Objective: This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of providing health education about the 5Ms during the Covid-19 pandemic using audiovisual methods for junior high school students. Negeri 8 Manado. Method: this research is quantitative research using a Quasi Experimental research method with a one group research design, namely pre-test and post-test. The target population for this research was school age students at SMP N 8 Manado, total 217 students. The sampling process in this research used purposive sampling with a total sample of 142 people. For bivariate analysis use the Wilcoxon test. Results: Wilcoxon test results show that there is a significant difference in the level of knowledge and readiness of respondents before and after being given health education (p-value < α 0.05). Conclusion: So, through the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that providing health education regarding the implementation of 5M during the Covid-19 pandemic has an effective impact on improving the knowledge and attitudes of school-age children.

Abstract

Introduction: Purine metabolism disorders in the body can cause gout arthritis which is characterized by hyperuricemia. People with gout arthritis can experience limited activity, be less productive at work, thus affecting economic income If this condition is not treated, sufferers can develop feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, to the point of becoming indifferent to their health. One way to treat gout arthritis is by taking medication when the disease recurs. Therefore, it is necessary to study further regarding the knowledge factors of gout arthritis sufferers and family support in efforts to take medication obediently. Objective: To analyze the knowledge factors and family support with medication adherence in gout arthritis sufferers. Method: This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. This study was conducted in the Tule Health Center work area, with a population size of 80 people suffering from arthritis and a sample size of 80 people (total sampling). The instruments used were a knowledge questionnaire, family support questionnaire, and medication adherence questionnaire. Results: The results of the Chi Square test, found a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a relationship between knowledge and medication adherence, there is also a relationship between family support and medication adherence, where the p-value is 0.042 <0.05. Conclusions: Knowledge of gouty arthritis sufferers and family support have a relationship with medication adherence in gouty arthritis sufferers.

Abstract

Introduction: Sexual Behavior is any action motivated by the desire to engage in sexual activity, either with the same or opposite sex. Adolescent sexual behavior can have a negative impact on their body, mind, and social relationships. Based on the facts in the field there are 3-4 students who experience the impact of adolescent sexual behavior, namely premarital pregnancy in 2022, not including in previous years. Objective: This study aims to explore adolescents' perceptions of the impact of premarital sexual behavior on adolescents. Method: e design of this research was qualitative descriptive research. The population is all students who were in class XI. The number of samples is 7 students of class XI. Results: The results of thematic analysis regarding adolescents' perceptions of the impact of premarital sexual behavior that sexual behavior has adverse effects on the body, changes to the body, physical health, hormones, and puberty. There are also emotional and psychological. Conclusions: Adolescents have the perception that premarital sexual behavior has adverse effects on physical, emotional, psychological, as well as relationships with society and family, but peers remain supportive of adolescents who have done so. Adolescents also felt that they were not given sexual education by their parents, and they wanted to gain access to more information about the impact of sexual behavior

Abstract

Introduction: In recent years, dengue cases have become a particular concern in various places, the increasing cases of dengue fever indicate the need for greater focus on prevention. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease condition caused by dengue virus infection which can be transmitted through mosquito bites. Mosquitoes that can spread the dengue virus are spread throughout almost all of Indonesia. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and family attitudes towards Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever prevention behavior in Bulo Village, Wori District. Method: This research uses quantitative research with a correlation research type. The population in this study is the number of families in Bulo Village, Wori District with a population of 293 families. The number of samples in this study was 169 respondents obtained using the Slovin formula. The method used in this research is simple random sampling. Results: From the results of the bivariate test using the Spearman rank test, it was found that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and dengue prevention behavior (p-value = 0.021) and there was no significant relationship between attitude and dengue prevention behavior (p-value = 0.981). Conclusion: The level of knowledge and dengue fever prevention behavior have a significant relationship, while family attitudes and behavior do not have a significant relationship.
