Abstract

Low student motivation remains a significant challenge in Islamic education, particularly in subjects that are often perceived as theoretical, such as Fiqh. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Quizizz interactive media as an evaluation tool to enhance students’ learning motivation in Fiqh learning. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach involving 60 eighth-grade students from MTs Al-Musyaffa’, divided into an experimental group using Quizizz and a control group using conventional methods. Data were collected using a validated motivation questionnaire and analyzed through independent sample t-tests. The results showed a significant difference in learning motivation between the two groups. The experimental group achieved a higher average motivation score (M = 57.78) compared to the control group (M = 48.28), with a t-value of 5.852 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that Quizizz is effective in improving students’ motivation by creating a more engaging, interactive, and competitive learning atmosphere. The gamified features of Quizizz, such as real-time feedback, scoring, and leaderboards, encourage students to actively participate in the evaluation process and enhance their enthusiasm for learning. In conclusion, the integration of Quizizz in Fiqh learning evaluation contributes positively to students’ motivation and can serve as an innovative approach to support digital-based Islamic education.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Islamic Religious Education in maintaining students’ mental health amidst the challenges of the digital era. As technology rapidly transforms students' lifestyles, issues such as gadget addiction, cyberbullying, and social pressure increasingly affect their psychological well-being. This qualitative research adopts a descriptive approach to examine how Islamic Religious Education contributes to students' emotional resilience and moral stability. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving students, Islamic Religious Education teachers, parents, and school counselors. The findings reveal that the integration of Islamic values such as patience, gratitude, and self-reflection through Islamic Religious Education plays a significant role in fostering students' mental strength, especially in facing digital distractions and emotional distress. The study concludes that Islamic Religious Education not only functions as a cognitive learning process but also serves as a spiritual and psychological safeguard. Strengthening the contextual implementation of Islamic Religious Education and enhancing teacher competencies are recommended to support students’ mental well-being in a digital-driven environment.

Abstract

National Assessment is presented as an improvement effort, one of which is through the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) and Character Survey. However, the contribution of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in supporting this assessment has not been studied in depth. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI in strengthening AKM and Character Survey, as well as identifying its implementation challenges. This study employs a literature review method. The findings indicate that PAI not only plays a role in character development but can also enhance literacy and numeracy through contextual materials such as zakat, inheritance, and analysis of the Quran and Hadith texts. The values in PAI also align with the indicators of the Pancasila Student Profile. However, there are still challenges regarding teacher readiness, infrastructure, and the suboptimal integration of assessment results into learning. This study contributes a new perspective that PAI can be an important part of the national assessment strengthening strategy.
