Abstract

Indonesia is one of the biggest producers of tuna with 19.1% of the world's supply. However, despite steadily rising demand worldwide, its exports of processed tuna have decreased. This study examines the competitiveness of Indonesian processed tuna and the factors influencing its export performance across major destination markets during the period 2012–2023 by integrating the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) index with an import demand model estimated using panel data regression under the Random Effect Model (REM). The results show that Indonesian processed tuna is highly competitive in many destination markets, with RCA values higher than 4 in nine out of ten nations. However, competitiveness Spain is still comparatively low because Spain serves as a processing and re-export hub. The empirical results show that while geographic distance and exchange rates have significant negative effects on Indonesia's processed tuna export volume, real GDP per capita in destination countries has a positive and statistically significant effect. Import tariffs and non-tariff measures like Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) and Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) measures have no statistically significant effects. To determine how to strengthen Indonesia's position in the global processed tuna trade, this study links destination-specific competitiveness with export performance and offers policy-relevant insights that highlight the significance of focusing on high-income consumption-oriented markets, improving logistics efficiency, and maintaining exchange rate competitiveness.

Abstract

The micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the agribusiness sector still face marketing challenges. Digital marketing has the potential to be a marketing solution, but only 33.8 percent of agribusiness MSEs have utilized it in their operations. This study aims to analyse the factors influencing digital marketing implementation by non-food agribusiness micro and small enterprises (MSEs) and evaluate their impact on business performance. The analytical methods used are logistic regression to identify the determinants of digital marketing, and Propensity Score Matching (PSM) to measure its impact on profit, turnover, and market reach. The results show that innovation, education level, labor, business status, and marketing training have a positive and significant influence on digital marketing decisions. Meanwhile, the age of the entrepreneur and business age have a negative and significant influence. Digital marketing has been proven to have a positive impact on market reach. These findings indicate that digital marketing plays a significant role in strengthening the performance of non-food agribusiness MSEs in expanding market access.

The research aims to identify consumer characteristics and analyze the influence of brand equity on consumer purchasing decisions for Greenfields Fresh Milk. The study was conducted in Jakarta. We used descriptive analysis and structural equation modeling partial least squares (SEM-PLS) to analyze the total research sample of 125 respondents. The results reveal that the majority of the consumers are women aged 18-25, residing in South Jakarta, and possessing a high school education. Most consumers are private employees with incomes from IDR 5,000,001-IDR 7,000,000 and expenditures on consumption from IDR 500,000-IDR 1,000,000 per month, with a frequency of consuming fresh milk 1–5 times per month. SEM-PLS analysis shows that brand equity has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions. Based on the results, Greenfields can expand its target market to include children and conduct more intensive promotions
