Abstract

This study evaluated the readiness level of technoware (equipment and machinery) and humanware (workforce competency) in a small-scale dry choux pastry enterprise to comply with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 2973:2011 for biscuits. The assessment was conducted using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) framework and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to align customer needs and product quality standards with the production processes. Expert-based scoring was applied to measure the technological sophistication of production equipment and human capabilities based on UNESCAP classifications. The study identified the gap between actual conditions and the standard requirements by calculating aggregate scores for both technoware and humanware components across each production stage. The results revealed readiness gaps reaching 50.3% in microbial safety and 49.5% in free fatty acid (FFA) control, with technoware deficiencies most severe in packaging and filling, while humanware gaps were prominent in ingredient preparation and cooking. Improvement priorities were proposed using planning and technical matrices to calculate improvement ratios and normalized weights. Key improvement targets included moisture content control (improvement ratio = 1.28), flavor consistency, and heavy-metal safety. To assist micro and small bakery enterprises, this research suggests that incremental investments be made in PID-controlled ovens, stainless steel trays, and structured operator training in GMP and sensory evaluation. The main objective of this study is to develop a diagnostic framework that guides SME owners in prioritizing technology and competency upgrades to achieve sustainable compliance with SNI 2973:2011. The study concludes that a strategic focus on upgrading both machinery and human skillsets is essential for small food enterprises aiming to meet national food safety and quality standards

Abstract

Campus canteens are essential facilities supporting academic activities. However, during peak hours, issues such as disorganized queues and delayed order deliveries frequently occur. These conditions lead to a decrease in customer satisfaction and service efficiency. This community service activity aims to develop a queue management strategy to improve service quality in campus canteens. The methods used include direct observation, socialization, and training for canteen staff, as well as the implementation of a simple order identification system. The socialization of the “numbered tags” queue system to the vendors has been carried out as part of the efforts to enhance service efficiency and organization. Preliminary evaluations indicate that this system has the potential to reduce customer waiting times and improve service efficiency. The finding suggests that a simple technology approach based on a numbered system can be an effective solution for addressing disorganized queues and improving the quality of canteen services in the future. This finding provides a foundation for canteen managers in other educational institutions to implement similar systems.

Abstract

Traditional textile SMEs still rely on manual processes, resulting in inefficiencies in production and data management. This study proposes a cost-conscious digitalization framework that integrates Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), a lightweight information layer, and artificial intelligence (AI), specifically designed for labour-intensive textile operations. The framework adheres to the ISA-95 architecture, emphasizing affordability and scalability. Stakeholder interviews, business process reengineering, and a three-month field implementation were conducted in a textile hub in Bandung. Key digital tools, including e-kiosks for real-time logging, integrated digital scales for inventory management, and mobile vision-based quality control using convolutional neural networks (Xception and VGG), were evaluated through an immersion study and user acceptance testing. Evaluation results show improvements in workflow visibility, data reliability, and consistency of quality inspection compared to the pre-digitalized process, while maintaining ease of use for operators. Evaluation results indicate qualitative operational improvements—such as enhanced workflow visibility, more reliable data capture, and more consistent quality inspection—reflecting meaningful enhancements observed during the digitalization pilot. The study contributes a replicable CPS–AI model that enables traditional SMEs to enhance efficiency and quality through scalable digital transformation.

Abstract

Background: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa SMK Yadika 12 Depok dalam bidang pemrograman dan komputasi numerik melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi MATLAB. Metode: Melalui pendekatan pelatihan langsung, sebanyak 33 siswa dari jurusan Teknik Jaringan Komputer dan Telekomunikasi dilibatkan dalam berbagai sesi pelatihan, mulai dari instalasi MATLAB, operasi dasar aritmetika, pembuatan grafik 2D/3D, hingga pemodelan sistem menggunakan persamaan diferensial. Hasil: Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 68,79 (pre-test) menjadi 88,79 (post-test), dengan 88% siswa menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan. Data ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan MATLAB secara praktis dapat memperkuat pemahaman konsep-konsep teknis yang sebelumnya bersifat abstrak. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berkontribusi terhadap tujuan SDG`s   atau Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan, khususnya dalam mendukung pendidikan berkualitas dan kesiapan kerja. Program ini juga menjadi sarana transfer pengetahuan antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah vokasi. Kesimpulan: Secara keseluruhan, program ini tidak hanya berkontribusi pada peningkatan hasil belajar, tetapi juga berperan strategis dalam menyiapkan generasi siswa yang melek digital dan siap kerja.

Abstract

The precision manufacturing sector requires a stable and competent workforce to ensure smooth production processes, making an understanding of employee job satisfaction essential for maintaining organizational performance. This study aims to evaluate employee satisfaction at PT XYZ using a descriptive quantitative approach through a survey of 21 purposively selected respondents. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire consisting of ten job satisfaction indicators and analyzed using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) framework. The results show an employee satisfaction index of 74.35 percent, indicating a moderately satisfied category. The IPA mapping reveals that interpersonal relation requires priority improvement due to its high importance but relatively low satisfaction level. Meanwhile, quality of work, knowledge of job, dependability, and performance fall into the category of attributes that should be maintained. Other indicators such as adaptability, initiative and resourcefulness, judgment, and leadership quality show both low importance and low satisfaction, suggesting that gradual attention is still needed to strengthen the company’s long-term organizational performance.

Abstract

Abstrak Kepuasan kerja merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang memengaruhi efektivitas organisasi, sehingga diperlukan pemetaan yang jelas mengenai aspek-aspek pekerjaan yang dipersepsikan penting dan bagaimana kinerja perusahaan dalam memenuhi harapan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) untuk menggambarkan kondisi kepuasan kerja karyawan PT Toada Mitsu Indonesia secara komprehensif. Pendekatan kuantitatif diterapkan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada seluruh karyawan melalui teknik sampling jenuh, melibatkan sepuluh responden. Instrumen penelitian mencakup sepuluh variabel kepuasan kerja yang diukur melalui dimensi tingkat kepentingan dan tingkat kinerja menggunakan skala Likert. Analisis dilakukan melalui penghitungan gap, tingkat kesesuaian, serta pemetaan variabel ke dalam empat kuadran IPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar variabel memiliki gap positif, menandakan bahwa kinerja organisasi telah memenuhi ekspektasi karyawan. Lima variabel berada pada kategori yang perlu dipertahankan, dua variabel berada pada prioritas rendah, dan tiga variabel menunjukkan performa yang relatif berlebihan dibandingkan tingkat kepentingannya. Temuan ini menawarkan panduan bagi manajemen dalam menata kembali fokus perbaikan dan mengoptimalkan alokasi sumber daya untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja secara lebih efektif. Kata Kunci: Kepuasan kerja, Importance-Performance Analysis, Produktivitas, Karakteristik pekerjaan Abstract Job satisfaction plays a crucial role in organizational effectiveness, making it important to understand which job aspects employees consider significant and how well the company meets those expectations. This study applies the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) method to provide a comprehensive overview of employee job satisfaction at PT Toada Mitsu Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to all employees using a saturated sampling technique involving ten respondents. The instrument consisted of ten job satisfaction variables measured through importance and performance dimensions on a Likert scale. Data analysis included gap calculation, conformity assessment, and mapping variables into the four IPA quadrants. The results indicate that most variables show positive gaps, suggesting that the organization’s performance generally aligns with employee expectations. Five variables fall into the category that should be maintained, two are classified as low priority, and three demonstrate higher performance relative to their perceived importance. These findings offer practical guidance for management in refining improvement priorities and optimizing resource allocation to enhance job satisfaction more effectively.
