Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in enhancing students self-confidence through the implementation of emotional approaches in classroom learning. PAI teachers act not only as transmitters of religious knowledge but also as spiritual and emotional mentors who understand students psychological conditions. The study employs a library research method, drawing upon relevant academic sources such as journals, books, and previous research findings. The findings indicate that emotional approaches applied by PAI teachers through empathy, positive communication, motivation, and exemplary conduct significantly enhance students self-esteem and self-efficacy. Moreover, a supportive and emotionally safe classroom environment fosters a sense of belonging and appreciation among students, which forms the foundation for confidence building. Therefore, the emotional approach practiced by PAI teachers not only strengthens students affective and spiritual dimensions but also contributes to developing positive character and a strong sense of self-assurance in both academic and social contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to understand Mukti Ali's thoughts on science that have contributed to education in Indonesia. Mukti Ali's thoughts themselves can have their own impact as well as being a challenge in developing his thoughts in the field of science. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a library study method, whose sources are analyzed from various books and other scientific works. The results of the study show that Mukti Ali's thoughts on science in Indonesia emphasize the importance of a scientific and multidisciplinary approach, especially in the field of religious studies and the development of Islamic education. He criticized the academic weaknesses of his time, such as the lack of scientific enthusiasm, mastery of foreign languages, and methodology, and encouraged educational renewal by opening postgraduate programs and increasing social and religious research. He believed that Islamic education must prioritize religious discipline, run systematically according to the Indonesian Constitution, and respect local wisdom. He also encouraged improving the quality of lecturers and research at IAIN, developing social and religious research, and sending lecturers to study abroad to improve academic quality. Overall, Mukti Ali contributed significantly to the renewal of modern Islamic education that is relevant to current developments in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze innovation in Islamic education learning in the digital era in addressing multicultural challenges. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the framework proposed by Barbara Kitchenham, consisting of planning, conducting, and reporting stages. Data were collected from relevant scientific publications indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, and ScienceDirect, and analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns across studies. The findings indicate that innovation in Islamic education learning is primarily reflected in three aspects: the integration of digital technology, the application of innovative pedagogical models, and the adoption of student-centered learning approaches. At the same time, multicultural challenges include diverse student backgrounds, limited understanding of tolerance, and exposure to uncontrolled digital information. The study further reveals that the integration of digital innovation with multicultural values—through interactive learning media, project-based learning, and the strengthening of digital literacy—plays a significant role in fostering inclusive and tolerant attitudes among students. These findings highlight the importance of developing integrative curricula, enhancing teachers’ competencies, and promoting collaborative learning environments to support effective Islamic education in the digital era.
