Abstract

This study aims to develop learning outcome-based Islamic education materials in a module for the Islamic education department at IAIN Curup. This study employed a Research and Development method. The data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed in both quantitative and qualitative ways. The analysis of quantitative data deployed percentage formulas, and the qualitative data analysis rested upon an interactive model comprised of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study revealed that 89% of lecturers and 94.47% of students perceived that the existing Islamic education materials were less or not appropriate. In addition, all of them perceived those new materials were needed. The subsequent focused group discussion called for the urgency of developing learning outcome-based Islamic education materials in the form of a module. Such a module was further developed. The design consisted of three chapters titled the definition of Islamic Education and Sources of Islamic Education, Islamic Education Curriculum Itself, and Students. The module had 62 pages for the contents and 3 for the bibliography, totaling 65 pages. After being validated by four experts, the module was considered worthy, with a few revisions suggested. The learning outcome-based Islamic education materials are efficient based on the results of practicality tests on one-for-one evaluation (then the second revision) and small group evaluation. Students' critical thinking ability is included in the very high category of test results at intervals of 80-99.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the form of moral values formed in Aplha Generation children through traditional games that use songs and how these traditional games can be used to strengthen these moral values. This research was conducted in Seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir Palembang for children of the Alpha generation. This research is a case study, which is part of qualitative research. Data collection methods are interviews and observation. Data sources include Palembang natives, male or female adults at least 30 years old, educated at least junior high school, knowledgeable about local culture, and have good memory speech. The research data include data on the form of the game and data on the moral values contained in the game. Data analysis was carried out with several stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the Angket-angket Periuk, Cup Mak Ilang, and Luk-luk Cino Buto games are Palembang traditional games that have nine forms of moral values, namely moral values of justice, responsibility, self-control, courage, honesty, trust, brotherhood, patience, and wisdom. Strengthening moral values in children occurs when children play, play, and play after playing.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the forms of Palembang language idioms that are still used by the community and map the forms of community resistance to religious radicalism. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this research were Palembang speakers in the Seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir areas who were selected based on predetermined criteria. The research process started from desk-review, field observation, documentation, in-depth interviews and FGD. Data analysis in this research uses data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from the research are that there are 158 Palembang idioms that are still used by the public, and there are 10 idioms that are appropriate for resisting radicalization, namely: (1) Ado gawe, (2) Balak duobelas, (3) Besak kelakar, (4) Katek aguk, (5) Katek antanan, (6) Makan olo'an, (7) Ngeci'ke bala', (8) Pakem tuo, (9) Tempuan tahlil, (10) Wong kito galo. Rejection of destructive-anarchist actions both towards adherents of other religions and those of their own religion. This study illustrates the need for these idioms to be disseminated to the public and taught in schools. Further research needs to be carried out to fully understand how idioms can influence children's thoughts and behavior through experimental studies. Discussion and other limitations will be explained in this paper.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran flipped classroom pada mata pelajaran sejarah kebudayaan Islam. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research). Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTS Najahiyah Palembang. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi informan penelitian adalah kepala Madrasah, guru sejarah kebudayaan Islam dan siswa MTS Najahiyah Palembang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu analisis kualitatif meliputi tahapan mereduksi data, menampilkan data, verifikasi data untuk menarik kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah Implementasi Model Pembelajaran flipped classroom pada mata pelajaran sejarah kebudayaan Islam di MTs Najahiyah Palembang meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Dalam tahap perencanaan guru mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran yaitu RPP, menentukan pendekatan, metode, model, dan media pembelajaran yang telah disesuaikan dengan pembelajaran sejarah kebudayaan Islam, serta menyiapkan penugasan sebagai produk dari pembelajaran flipped classroom. Pada tahap pelaksanaan guru melakukan kegiatan pembuka, inti, dan penutup yang telah sesuai dengan RPP. Pada tahap evaluasi dilakukannya penilaian pada 3 domain yaitu kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik.

Abstract

Traditional games are one of the strategies for strengthening anti-violence values in children. One type of traditional game from Palembang that is rare to be played by children and used as the object of study in this research is the Angket-angket Periuk game. This study aims to describe the form of anti-violence values contained in the traditional game of Angket-angket Periuk and describe the process of forming and strengthening anti-violence values in children through the traditional game of Angket-angket Periuk. This type of research is descriptive qualitative and research data is obtained through interviews and observations. The research population consisted of 8 children aged 6 to 8 years and 9 parents aged over 50 years who lived in the area of seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir Palembang City. The results obtained from the research are, that there are 6 anti-violence values in the traditional game of questionnaire-pot, namely: sportsmanship value, togetherness value, mutual trust value, fun value, freedom value, and empathy value. The six anti-violence values can be seen and appear when children are about to play, during the game process, and until the children end the game. This study illustrates the strengthening of anti-violence values in children through traditional games from the analysis of respondents. However, further research needs to be done to fully understand the strengthening of anti-violence values in children through traditional games.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate adult religious coping strategies throughout the COVID-19 pandemic's quarantine phase. In-depth semi-structured interviews with thirteen adult COVID-19 survivors, ages forty to sixty, were undertaken. Open-ended questions on the state of the COVID-19 sickness, the psychological state, and the religious coping mechanisms used up until the point of cure were posed to the respondents. The information was categorized using thematic analysis. Three adult coping strategies—positive thinking, positive activity, and yielding to God—are shown by the classification results. According to this research, the respondent experiences resilience and serenity when coping with the COVID-19 virus when they practice good religious coping. This study demonstrates how adult respondents manage to endure till they heal, but additional investigation is required to comprehend how religious coping is employed by populations that are more vulnerable to pressures.

Abstract

One of the strengths that NU has is in the form of cultural and ideological strength so that the nahdhiyyin (jama'ah) citizens are so eager to manage education to fight for the realization of NU's ideals. Although managerial, this is certainly not ideal. For this reason, Nahdhotul Ulama needs to strengthen its role as a regulator and facilitator for all education units within the NU, both Jam'iyah and jama'ah. NU pesantren must carry out various kinds of transformation, namely: first, curriculum reorientation. Second, contextualization of the yellow book. Third, Build a Library. Fourth, Promote Translation. Fifth, Publishing. Sixth, Conduct professional training. Seventh, mastery of technology.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Rohani Islam (ROHIS) extracurricular activities at SMA Bina Warga 1 Palembang in strengthening Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (ASWAJA) values and shaping students’ tolerance. Despite not being affiliated with NU, the school’s ROHIS program, established in 2018, emphasizes ASWAJA principles through structured daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities aimed at fostering religious and tolerant attitudes. Using qualitative methods with a case study approach, data were collected via observation, interviews with ROHIS mentors, Islamic education teachers, and participants, as well as documentation. Findings reveal that ROHIS instills ASWAJA values tawasuth (moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), i’tidal (justice), and tawazun (balance) through discussions, interfaith collaborations, and community service. These activities cultivate tolerance by encouraging respect for differences, promoting peace, appreciating kindness, and fostering openness. Key supporting factors include high student participation, institutional support (facilities from the school foundation), and active management. Challenges include some students’ self-centered tendencies, administrative inefficiencies (e.g., unstructured licensing), and logistical issues such as water shortages. The study concludes that ROHIS effectively integrates ASWAJA values into students’ ethical frameworks, despite obstacles, by combining religious education with practical tolerance-building initiatives. This highlights the potential of school-based spiritual programs to address societal diversity while maintaining theological integrity. Recommendations include improving administrative coordination and addressing resource limitations to enhance program sustainability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kontribusi intelektual tokoh-tokoh Muslim klasik dalam bidang filsafat dan tasawuf serta metodologi yang digunakan dalam menelusuri warisan intelektual tersebut. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan studi pustaka terhadap pemikiran tokoh-tokoh seperti Al-Kindi, Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, Al-Ghazali, dan Ibn Rusyd, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi upaya mereka dalam mengintegrasikan filsafat Yunani dengan ajaran Islam dan mengembangkan spiritualitas Islam melalui tasawuf. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa para intelektual ini tidak hanya memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap pengembangan epistemologi Islam, tetapi juga membentuk fondasi bagi peradaban Islam yang rasional dan spiritual. Mereka menggunakan metode historis-filosofis, hermeneutika, fenomenologis, hingga pendekatan tekstual-sufistik untuk menjelaskan konsep-konsep seperti emanasi, metafisika, dan harmonisasi akal-wahyu. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa rihlah ilmiah atau perjalanan intelektual para tokoh tersebut merupakan bagian penting dari upaya membangun peradaban Islam. Melalui kajian kritis atas karya-karya mereka, umat Islam masa kini dapat merekonstruksi nilai-nilai intelektual dan spiritual yang relevan dalam menjawab tantangan zaman.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the rise of intellectual movements in Islam and their contributions to the establishment of Islamic educational institutions. The study adopts a qualitative-descriptive method through literature review of scholarly works and historical data. The findings reveal that the Islamic intellectual movement was shaped by five major factors: social, political, economic, cultural, and religious. Social factors involve community structures and intergroup relations; political factors highlight the role of caliphs and rulers in supporting education; economic factors include access to resources and the role of trade in spreading knowledge; cultural factors reflect scientific traditions and intercultural interactions; while religious factors emphasize the central role of knowledge in Islamic teachings. These intellectual movements led to the formation of educational institutions such as madrasas and early Islamic universities (e.g., Al-Qarawiyyin and Al-Azhar), which played key roles in advancing scientific knowledge and developing Muslim character. In conclusion, the Islamic intellectual movement significantly contributed to building an integrated educational system rooted in both scientific inquiry and spirituality, and it remains relevant in contemporary educational discourse.
