Abstract

Terdapat tiga kategori khalayak yang rentan terhadap pengaruh buruk internet, yakni anak-anak, remaja, dan kaum ibu. Pada anak-anak, pengaruh itu terutama terletak pada perkembangan otak, emosi, sosial, dan kemapuan kognitif. Intensitas akan memengaruhi persepsi dengan apa yang mereka tonton. Salah satu upaya menanggulangi dampak buruk tersebut adalah dengan literasi digital. Berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh, di Kelurahan Gedawang tepatnya wilayah RW 2 sebagai Kampung KB belum mendapatkan informasi tentang literasi digital, sehingga kegiatan ini perlu dilakukan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan simulasi. Secara umum kegiatan ini membangkitkan kesadaran betapa pentingnya peran orang tua dalam mendampingi anak-anak dalam pemanfaatan media digital. Disinilah para orang tua perlu memahami nilai utama dunia digital yang menyetir kehidupan kita saat ini. Ada tiga nilai penting: kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan berpikir kritis. Para peserta melalui kegiatan ini selain pengetahuannya akan semakin meningkat juga semakin menyadari perlunya memahami etika informasi yang baik. Luaran dari kegiatan pengabdian ini selain dokumentasi kegiatan, juga publikasi di media cetak dan online, diantaranya di koran wawasan, suarabaru.id, rri.co.id. Di samping itu juga pembuatan artikel ilmiah yang dimuat di jurnal pengabdian masyarakat.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of advertisements in online media dealing with the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic. Advertisement with children as the endorser to convey the message on Waspada Corona aired in animated version of public service advertisement. this advertisement is very intriguing seen from the emerge of children in educating the public dealing with the enormity and serious impact of the epidemic. How online media construct the children animated advertising language on waspada Corona and how the Semarang society reconstruct language message in the media. This research purposive media text selection as the data collecting method and media text analysis in its analyzing technique as analyzing advertisement method. While the construction of the society, the data were analyzed by mans of Miles and Huberman’s interactive and constructivist qualitative analysis. The paradigm used is constructivism and is completed with Peter L berger’s social construction theory. The result of this research are expecyed to show the full form of construction of children advertisement in online media and the construction of the society in responding the online media advertising messages. Abstract

This research is based on several teachers qualification which are not in accordance with the rules of human being prepared to become a teacher.. This study focused in the influence of spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence on teachers’ performance partially and simultaneously. Well, this present study is conducted in order to analyze and explain about the effect of two intelligence variables partially and simultaneously on the teachers’ performance of Islamic-based school in Tembalang, Semarang. This research method used quantitative analysis. The number of sample were 87 people, so the data collection used total sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire, and the data were tested using multiple regression analysis. The result showed that spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence have positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance in Islamic-based elementary school in Tembalang, Semarang. However, the limitation of this present study are limited in time and minimalist funding. Keywords : spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and teachers’ performance

Abstract

This music student activity unit community of Semarang or known as ‘Kumis’, has now grown as an organization with positive goals that interest some people in joining it. This study aims to determine how communication patterns of an organization in maintaining a relationship. This study was directed to the communication patterns of the Semarang ‘Kumis’ community. This study made use of qualitative descriptive method. The technique of collecting data was conducted through participant observation supported by in-depth interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were thirteen informants. The paradigm used in this study was the constructivist one with the sociometric theory proposed by Jacob Moreno Levy and supporting theories, such as the West Turner Groupthink theory and Group Cohesiveness as main theories. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that in maintaining relationship, the communication patterns used by the Semarang Kumis community are categorized as horizontal or literal communication patterns. The relationship maintained is akind of relationship which forms solidarity among its members through the use of information and communication technology, such as Whatsapp social media platform. Also, frequent meetings or face-to-face gatherings among members allow them to maintain open communication as to minimize communication misunderstandings and cohesiveness in the Semarang Kumis community which keep cooperation and solidarity well. The number of respondents, who was only 13 informants, is certainly not able to describe the real situation since the object of this study only focused on communication patterns. Therefore, it is expected that the results of the study can be used as an example or reference in gaining information for further studies in the same field with different research object, regarding with a community’s communication patterns in maintaining relationship.

Abstract

Program Pelatihan menyaring berita hoaks ini bermaksud untuk memberikan pengetahuan baru bagi ibu rumah tangga agar tidak mudah menerima informasi begitu saja. Masa pandemi covid-19, memaksa ibu rumah tangga dengan dengan berbagai latar belakang untuk menggunakan Aplikasi Messenger Whatsapp. Baik untuk kepentingan sosialisasi dalam kehidupan pertetanggaan maupun untuk keperluan kegiatan sekolah anak-anak. Metode dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, menggunakan metode Seminar dan Focus Grup Discussion (FGD). Setelah peserta memahami berbagai jenis berita hoaks. Peserta diberikan contoh kasus beberapa pesan masuk via whatsapp, yang merupakan pesan-pesan sesat. Adapun hasil dari pelatihan ini, merujuk pada dua rumusan. Pertama, peserta masih memerlukan orang lain untuk menentukan pesan tersbut apakah pesan yang menyesatkan atau tidak. Kehadiran orang lain (peer group) masih sangat diperlukan dalam kehidupan keseharian, untuk melakukan diskusi dan memberikan sudut pandang yang berbeda dari diri sendiri. Kedua, Peserta tetap baru merasa yakin jika mempunyai Tokoh Masyarakat yang dijadikan acuan untuk bertanya. Tokoh masyarakat ini juga menjadi Opinion Leader dalam berbagi isu. Pola filter yang terjadi adalah penyaringan pada 2 (dua) tahap. Setelah menerima pesan, akan bertanya benar atau salah. Setelah terdapat kesimpulan, lanjut pada tahap kedua, menyeleksi, penting atau tidak.

Abstract

Video klip menjadi salah satu media yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan pesan karenadapat menjangkau penonton yang luas dan juga dapat mengangkat tema yang relevandengan masyarakat. Dalam hal ini video klip yang diteliti mengangkat tema Nasionalismeyang merupakan realitas yang ada di Indonesia. Video klip yang akan dibahas atau ditelitiyaitu video klip yang berjudul “Wonderland Indonesia” karya Alffy Rev. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana rasa Nasionalisme direpresentasikan dalam videoklip “Wonderland Indonesia” berdasarkan teori analisis semiotika Roland Barthes dengantiga tahapan yaitu denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos yang ada di dalamnya. Penelitian inimerupakan tipe penelitian kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa representasi Nasionalisme yang ada dalamvideo klip terdapat delapanbelas scene yang memiliki makna denotasi, yang terdiri darisepuluh scene unsur Nasionalisme, enam scene yang memiliki unsur budaya sebagaipenguat Nasionalisme, dan dua lirik lagu yang memiliki unsur Nasionalisme. Padakonotasinya dalam video klip ini rasa nasionalisme digambarkan dengan unsur budayayang menjadi penguat rasa nasionalisme dari diri anak bangsa. Mitosnya bahwaperbedaan budaya menjadi dasar persatuan berbangsa dan menjadi penguat rasaNasionalisme dalam tubuh anak bangsa. Representasi nasionalisme yang ditemukan yaitubentuk kecintaan terhadap bangsa Indonesia, bentuk kebergaman Budaya, bentukperjuangan, dan bentuk penanaman rasa nasionalisme sejak dini. Kesimpulannya dalamvideo klip ini menggambarkan keadaan Indonesia sekarang ini dan memiliki pesan agaranak bangsa memiliki rasa Nasionalisme terhadap bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

Young voters are very close to online life. Advertising as part of online media products should be able to provide knowledge and change attitudes to the audience. Likewise, peer groups or playing groups. The behavior of young voters will be greatly influenced by their peer group. And as peer group students can point to groups of friends to discuss, friends who can communicate with each other and understand each other among its members. How advertisements in online media and the role of peer groups influence the decisions of young voters. This research intends to prove the uses and gratification theory that audiences will seek and select media content to fulfill their interests in seeking presidential candidacy information. The theory is also supported by social conversation theory. The research methodology uses the Kendall analysis in which this analysis requires a significant and positive relationship to the variables. The analysis shows that there is a positive and significant relationship with sufficient results obtained between advertisements in online media on voting behavior and peer groups on the knowledge of voting for young voters. The conclusion of this research is that online mass media is very much a reference for young voters in gaining knowledge about candidates. The role of peer groups in students in the Semarang community is still strong. The idea recognition model will be more effective utilizing this peer group. This research is still far from perfect, the accuracy of the data because the selected variables are very limited so the relationship between variables needs to be supported by accurate supporting variables. This deficiency can be added to further research by adding or proving separately the groupthink theory and the muted theory.

Abstract

This research is a case study of the success of the political communication strategy of a local legislator named Kadarlusman in the city of Semarang in maintaining his political electability. The paradigm used in this research is the constructivism paradigm. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews and observation to obtain primary data as well as documentation and literature study to obtain secondary data. The theory used in this research is the social exchange theory of John Thibaut and Harold Kelley which highlights the exchange of messages, responses and rewards between individuals and dyadic groups in social interactions. The results of this research show the success of a local legislator named Kadarlusman as Chair of the Semarang City DPRD in maintaining his political electability in the City of Semarang through a Political Communication Strategy, especially in the Electoral District 5 area. The series of Political Communication activities carried out was the City DPRD Chairperson Cup E-Sports Mobile Legends Tournament. Semarang, Kopimi Outlet UMKM Bazaar, Wonosari Village, Cultural Carnival in the framework of the KH Haul. Syafi'I Piyoronegoro, and Pak Pilus' interactions with residents of RW 10. The results of this research were analyzed to determine the social exchanges that occurred in the context of interpersonal communication and it can be concluded that his political communication strategy was successful. Kadarlusman has received the most votes in Semarang City in legislative elections since 2014, 2019 and 2024.

Abstract

Film dokumenter telah menjadi salah satu media yang efektif dalam menyampaikan isu-isu sosial, termasuk isu kerusakan lingkungan laut. Sebagai negara maritim, Indonesia menghadapi tantangan besar terkait pencemaran laut dan kelestarian lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana film dokumenter Seaspiracy memengaruhi kesadaran sosial tentang isu kerusakan lingkungan laut di kalangan penonton. Film dokumenter Seaspiracy dipilih sebagai objek penelitian karena kontennya yang menggambarkan dampak buruk aktivitas manusia terhadap lingkungan laut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan metode quasi-experimental dengan fokus pada analisis resepsi berdasarkan paradigma kritis. Metode quasi-experimental design (eksperimen semu) yaitu jenis eksperimen yang menggunakan seluruh subjek yang utuh (intact group) untuk diberi perlakuan (treatment). Teori encoding-decoding Stuart Hall menjadi kerangka analisis untuk memahami bagaimana pesan dalam film tersebut diproduksi, disampaikan, dan diterima oleh penonton. Penonton merespons secara beragam terhadap pesan yang disampaikan dalam film, mulai dari menerima ideologi dominan hingga menolaknya secara tegas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa informan cenderung masuk ke dalam posisi hegemoni dominan dan negosiasi dalam memahami pesan film, dengan beragam pemahaman dan interpretasi terhadap isu lingkungan laut. Informan yang mendapatkan treatment memberikan hasil wawancara yang lebih detail dan banyak pertimbangan. Sehingga informan dengan treatmant masuk kedalam posisi negosiasi. Adegan yang paling dianggap menarik menurut informan adalah pembantaian paus. Pembuat film hanya menampilkan adegan untuk membuat simpati informan, tanpa memberi informasi bahwa pembantaian paus merupakan kearifan lokal yang bertujuan menjaga kelestarian dan keseimbangan alam. Sutradara film memiliki peran penting dalam menyampaikan ideologi dan pesan dalam film, dengan film "Seaspiracy" berhasil menyampaikan isu lingkungan laut dengan baik. Kesimpulannya, film dokumenter memiliki potensi besar dalam membangun kesadaran sosial tentang isu lingkungan, dengan resepsi penonton dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang sosial dan berapa kali informan menonton film Seaspiracy.Kata Kunci: resepsi, film dokumenter, kerusakan laut.
