Mathematics learning process that is still centered on the teacher caused the low ability of mathematical connections of students in grade VIII SMPN 1 Baso. This study aims to determine whether the mathematical connection ability of students using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model is better than the mathematical connection ability of students using conventional learning. The type of this research is experimental research with Randomized control group only design. The population in this study is the students of class VIII SMPN 1 Baso consisting of seven classes. Samples taken from the population were taken by Random Sampling technique. The selected sample is class VIII4 as the experimental class and class VIII3 as the control class. Data analysis technique using t test. The result of tcalculation = 7,18 and ttable = 1,679, because tcount> ttable concluded that the mathematical connection ability of students using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model is better than the students' mathematical connection ability using conventional learning in grade VIII SMPN 1 Baso Lesson Year 2017/2018

Many elementary school students experience difficulties in recognizing letters, reading by spelling, reading fluently, and understanding simple reading texts, which affect their overall learning outcomes. Therefore, an effective reading assistance program is needed to improve students’ reading literacy skills gradually and continuously. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Priority Reading Optimistic (PRO) Movement in improving elementary school students’ reading literacy skills at SD Negeri 21 Pasir Tinggi. The study was motivated by the low reading ability of students, as indicated by difficulties in recognizing letters, reading with spelling, slow reading, and low comprehension of simple texts. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach supported by simple quantitative data. The research subjects consisted of 31 students who experienced reading difficulties. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the Priority Reading Optimistic (PRO) Movement had a positive impact on improving students’ reading literacy skills. Reading assistance was conducted gradually through grouping students based on their reading abilities, routine reading exercises, individual mentoring, and interactive learning activities. After the implementation of the program, the number of students experiencing reading difficulties decreased in several indicators, such as letter recognition, reading by spelling, pronunciation errors, and slow reading. In addition, students’ reading fluency and comprehension of simple texts also improved significantly. The program not only improved students’ reading abilities but also increased their learning motivation and self-confidence in reading activities.

Purpose: The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) has reshaped mathematics teaching and learning by introducing adaptive support, automated feedback, and new forms of interaction. At the same time, its use has raised pedagogical, ethical, and institutional concerns. This study aims to examine the opportunities, risks, and pedagogical safeguards associated with integrating AI into mathematics education.Method: This study employed a Systematic Literature Review following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. A systematic search was conducted in ERIC, Web of Science, and Scopus for peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025. From 309 identified records, 40 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the final synthesis. The data were analysed through descriptive mapping and thematic analysis involving familiarisation, initial coding, theme grouping, and interpretation.Findings: The review identified that AI supports personalised learning, automated assessment, immediate feedback, student engagement, independent practice, and instructional planning. Intelligent Tutoring Systems and adaptive learning platforms were the most frequently examined technologies. However, AI integration was also associated with unequal access, limited teacher readiness, weak pedagogical alignment, superficial learning, dependence on generated answers, and concerns about fairness and transparency. The synthesis further showed that responsible implementation requires teacher mediation, structured scaffolding, verification of AI-generated responses, reasoning-oriented tasks, learning-process monitoring, and human oversight.Significance: This review brings opportunities, risks, and pedagogical safeguards together within a single analytical framework. It positions AI as a pedagogical support system that should remain aligned with mathematical reasoning, ethical responsibility, and contextual needs
