Abstract

At this time learning innovations are needed to improve students' thinking skills, one of which is by getting students used to solving HOTS-based questions. The purpose of the service activity is to train teachers of SD Negeri 091488 Bah Sampuran in preparing HOTS-based questions. The activity was carried out in two stages, the preparation stage and the implementation stage. In the preparatory stage, the service team coordinated with the Principal of SD Negeri 091488 Bah Sampuran to identify problems, determine problem solutions, determine target groups, and determine the time and place for carrying out activities. The result of this dedication was that the participants' response to the implementation of this activity was very good, this can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in asking questions to the speakers related to the training material provided. The conclusion of this dedication is that participants hope that this kind of activity can be rescheduled for future times.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine if mathematical resilience and capacity for creative thought are related among eighth-grade mathematics students at SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. This study employs a quantitative research design with a descriptive technique to gather data on students' proficiency in solving mathematical problems using rectangular flat materials. The study's population comprises all grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis, which consists of 10 classes. From this population, a sample of 30 students from class VIII-7 was selected and categorized into three levels of mathematical resilience: high, medium, and low. The mathematical creative thinking skills of these 30 students were subsequently analyzed to explore the relationship between mathematical resilience and creative thinking abilities using specific instruments. The instruments employed include the Mathematical Resilience Test and the Mathematical Creativity Test. The analysis of mathematical creative thinking skills is based on four indicators: (1) fluency of thinking, (2) flexibility of thinking, (3) originality of thinking, and (4) elaboration ability. The results from the simple regression analysis yielded the regression equation \(Y = 0.387 + 0.3867X\). In this equation, the coefficient for X is positive, indicating a positive linear relationship between the two variables. Additionally, the calculation of the simple correlation coefficient resulted in \(R_{cal} = 0.528\), which suggests a moderate correlation. This indicates that the ability to think creatively in mathematics is influenced by 27.9% of the mathematical resilience among Grade VIII students when solving problems related to rectangular flat shapes

Abstract

Laporan ini menyajikan hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul "Mewujudkan Semangat Merdeka Belajar Siswa Berkarakter Mandiri di Sekolah SMA Dwitunggal Kecamatan Tanjung morawa." Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerapan konsep Merdeka Belajar di kalangan siswa, serta mengembangkan karakter mandiri dalam proses pembelajaran. Program ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan rendahnya partisipasi siswa dan implementasi Merdeka Belajar yang belum optimal di lingkungan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi desain pengabdian tindakan partisipatif, yang melibatkan kolaborasi antara guru, siswa, dan mahasiswa dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan, termasuk workshop dan mentoring. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah peningkatan rasa percaya diri siswa dan kemampuan mereka dalam belajar mandiri. Laporan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi pendidikan karakter dan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah, serta menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan program pengabdian di masa depan.
