Abstract

Postpartum Blues is a mood disorder often experienced by mothers after giving birth and can develop into postpartum depression if not detected and treated early. Lack of knowledge of mothers and families regarding postpartum mental health is one of the risk factors for this condition. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of postpartum mothers, pregnant women, and cadres regarding Postpartum Blues and conduct early screening for postpartum depression using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). The methods used include health education through interactive counseling, discussions, and filling out the EPDS questionnaire for postpartum mothers, pregnant women, and cadres. The target group of the activity was postpartum mothers, pregnant women, and cadres in the Gunung Samarinda Village. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of psychological changes after childbirth, the signs and symptoms of Postpartum Blues, and the importance of family and health worker support. In addition, EPDS screening helps identify mothers at risk of postpartum depression so that appropriate follow-up can be carried out. This activity is expected to be a preventive and promotive effort in maintaining the mental health of postpartum mothers, pregnant women and cadres as well as improving the quality of maternal health services in the community.   Abstrak Post Partum Blues merupakan kondisi gangguan suasana perasaan yang sering dialami ibu setelah melahirkan dan dapat berkembang menjadi depresi pascapersalinan apabila tidak terdeteksi dan ditangani sejak dini. Abstract

Depression significantly impacts multiple aspects of life, including relationships, academic or work performance, and overall well-being. Individuals who have experienced abuse, severe loss, or other stressful events are more susceptible to depression. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of iron and folic acid supplementation on the mental health of adolescents. This research is a quantitative research using pre-experimental design, one-group pre-post test design research type. The sampling method in this study used purposive sampling with a sample size of 30 people. Researchers collected respondent data by gathering them in one room, providing an initial questionnaire. The researcher explained how to take Fe and folic acid tablets to the respondents. Respondents were instructed to write down the date in a table provided by the researcher after taking their iron tablets as scheduled. The researcher and respondents agreed on a meeting date one month later to complete the same questionnaire as the first. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical test show that the Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.001, because the significance value of the test results is 0.001 (α <0.05), so the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the hypothesis (H0) is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the provision of Iron and Folic Acid supplementation on adolescent mental health. The conclusion of this study is that respondents who adhere to the schedule for taking Fe and Folic Acid tablets have a good impact on mental health.

Abstract

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) types 16 and 18 are the main causes of cervical cancer, which attack the cervix and lead to abnormal cell changes. One of the most effective preventive measures for cervical cancer is HPV vaccination. However, HPV vaccination coverage among women of reproductive age remains low and may be influenced by various behavioural factors. This study aimed to determine factors associated with HPV vaccination behaviour among women of reproductive age in Gunung Samarinda District in 2025. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Non-probability sampling was used, and the sample size was calculated using the Lemeshow formula, resulting in 30 respondents from a population of 1255 women of reproductive age. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire The reliability results show that Cornbach's Alpha value > R Table, so that the six questions are reliabl. Data analysis included univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test. The results showed a significant association between knowledge (p = 0.010) and media exposure (p = 0.031) with HPV vaccination behaviour. Meanwhile, no significant association was found between education (p = 0.180), occupation (p = 0.512), income (p = 0.554), and family support (p = 0.227) with HPV vaccination behaviour. Knowledge and media exposure were significantly associated with HPV vaccination behaviour among women of reproductive age.
