Abstract

Family is a tiny scope that will bring someone to social life. The fine social order influenced by condition of every family inside it, because society is an accumulation and reflection of lifestyle, world view, even way of thinking of every individual in a family. Good or worse community at social life is depending on family condition. Family is playing important role to direct children to become good moral generation on and beneficial for society. Therefore, to realize that goal, children emotional education from early age at family scope is requirement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the effect of Covid-19 on the trend of elementary school children learning and playing that recognized by their parents. This research uses case study methods and qualitative research approaches to gain information on the effect of Covid-19 on the trend of playing and learning. For confidentiality identity, respondents were given the initials R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and up to R20. The interview was conducted by asking the respondents one by one. the results showed that the level of achievement had decreased and there was a new learning trend. Online learning causes students and parents to adapt to this learning model. In addition, playing games on cellphones has also become the most favorite games during this pandemic.

Abstract

Teenage students have unpredictable emotional tendency. The unbalance of students' anger and sadness can be influenced by certain factors. In controlling the emotions, such as anger and sadness, the students of Islamic Senior High School have different ways.  It is wondered that they will vent those emotions towards things that are not in accordance with religious teachings. In this regard, this research was done to know the influence of educational, normative (religious law) and also social media (internet) aspects on their emotions. Therefore, this paper is a result of a qualitative study which is aimed at finding the dominant factors causing anger and sadness, and the level of controlling ability of the emotions. The instrument used was a questionnaire with pedagogical (educational), normative, and social media approaches. Findings show that the dominant factor causing anger is that someone they respect is not being respected.  On the other hand, the dominant factor causing sadness is the one they cared about were in the state of sorrow. Furthermore, the level of anger controlling ability is in very good category, with an average value of 21.13103 (range 0-30). In addition, the level of sad controlling ability is in very good category too, with an average value of 20.72414 (range 0-30).

Abstract

Anti-corruption education has become a serious concern of the government. The Indonesian government is trying to include anti-corruption education in the higher education curriculum. The education will be included in the higher education curriculum by considering the curriculum content in each university. This needs discussions and opinions to ascertain the position of anti-corruption education in the curriculum. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the urgency of anti-corruption education into the curriculum of Islamic higher education. This study aims to determine the opinion of PGMI lecturers about the urgency of anti-corruption education into the Islamic higher education curriculum, especially PGMI. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used was distributing questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. The instruments used were questionnaire sheets, interview lists, and documents. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research data, it was found that the PGMI FTK lecturers of UIN Ar-Raniry had high attention and gave a positive response to the urgency of anti-corruption education into the curriculum of Islamic higher education. Furthermore, it is also known that the dominant respondents (as many as 58%) stated that anti-corruption education is necessary or urgent to be included in the curriculum of Islamic higher education. Finally, the curriculum model suggested by the respondents is an integrated, a habituation, and an autonomous independent model to accommodate anti-corruption education.

Abstract

This study is aimed at probing the strengths and weaknesses of classroom management experienced by student teachers at Department of English Language Education, UIN Ar-Raniry during the internship program at designated schools. Data collection was based on qualitative semi-structured interview with 8 student teachers chosen by purposive sampling from the 250 fourth student teachers at the English Language Education Department in 2017/2018 academic year. The findings of the current study indicated that group discussion method applied in the classroom enable more efficient classroom management. On the other hand, it is found that student teachers still experienced great deal of anxiety in managing the classroom. This may cause serious problems when facing real classroom management following their graduation as real teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas soal ujian semester ganjil pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan kelas V MIN 9 Lambhuk Banda Aceh dilihat dari segi tingkat kesukaran validitas, reliabilitas dan daya pembeda soal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitiannya siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 22 siswa yang mengikuti ujian. Objek penelitiannya soal ujian akhir semester ganjil, dan jawaban siswa. Data diperoleh dengan metode dokumentasi yaitu: soal ujian dan lembar jawaban siswa. Data dianalisis dengan program perangkat lunak Microsoft excel untuk mengetahui nilai validitas, reliabilitas, dan daya pembeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Berdasarkan analisis uji validitas butir soal ujian yang valid berjumlah 28 butir (82%) sedangkan yang tidak valid 6 butir (17%). (2) Berdasarkan analisis uji reliabilitas, butir soal ujian semester ganjil mendapatkan hasil reliabilitas sangat tinggi yaitu 2,029043544. (3) Berdasarkan analisis daya pembeda, Butir soal ujian semester ganjil termasuk tidak baik, karena butir soal ini lebih banyak dijawab oleh kelompok bawah dibandingkan dengan jawaban kelompok atas yang memiliki hasil (-0,09) diskriminasi. Keseluruhan butir soal ujian semester ganjil pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan kelas V MIN 9 Lambhuk Banda Aceh termasuk soal yang mudah dan memiliki reliabilitas sangat tinggi tetapi memiliki daya pembeda yang tidak baik.

Abstract

Chance and job opportunities to work can be gained by anyone, without limiting men as fathers or women as mothers. This equality has implications for the dominance of children education in the family environment. This paper aims to analyze how the dominance and ways of fathers or mothers as parents in educating their children. The data of this study were sourced from a group of students who were respondents. The results showed that mothers have a dominant role in educating children. However, both of them pay attention to the bringing up of their character of discipline, responsibility and independen. The different side lies in the way the father and mother in shaping the character of the child. Therefore, the results of this study are important to be exposed as an effort to balance the information that fathers and mothers with various activities and professions still have an interest in children education.

Abstract

Digitalization as well as globalization disturbs the identity of this nation in general and the younger generation in particular. The impact of digitalization and globalization is like a flood that is difficult to stop. The younger generation prefers to follow a hedonic lifestyle. Society needs a generation that still has an identity. Identity as a pious Muslim. Apart from this identity, they also have good IT skills. To be a good Muslim, there is a dayah institution. To become an IT expert, there is a vocational school. Therefore, it is necessary to analysis to meet the needs of the community theoretically and philosophically regarding the two institutions. This study aims to analyze contemporary philosophical views (conservatism, liberalism, and criticism) and how to solve these problems.This research is a library research with a descriptive approach. Based on the research data, it was found that the views of schools were different. Some are compatible and some are not. Some reinforce each other, some contradict each other. From the point of view of contemporary educational philosophy, especially conservatism, liberalism, and criticism, it is necessary to have a combination or eclecticity between the two institutions. So that the demands of society can be met.

Abstract

Learning media has a significant role in an effort to help abstract concepts so that students more easily understand these concepts. However, many teachers have difficulty in developing learning media. This study aims to develop learning media in the form of picture storybooks with a TheoAnthropoEco-centric approach that is feasible and practical for use by elementary school students. This study uses a research and development type that refers to the development stage of Borg Gall. The data was obtained using a product feasibility validation questionnaire and a teacher and student response questionnaire. The subjects of this research are media experts, material experts, linguists, class teachers and fourth-grade students of madrasah ibtidaiyah. The determination of research subjects is done by purposive sampling technique. Descriptive statistical techniques analyzed the data obtained in this study. The results showed that the picture book with the TheoAnthropoEco-centric approach developed in this study was feasible and practical for use by elementary school students. This is evidenced by the feasibility test results, which show the developed media is in the "Very Good" category. On the other hand, the results of the practicality test also show that the product developed in this study is in the "Very Good" category. Therefore, picture story books with a TheoAnthropoEco-centric approach can be used as a medium of learning at the elementary school level.
