Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to increase community participation in the lecturer community service program in Tandon Sentul Village. The main problem often encountered is low community involvement, therefore this study examines the potential of ABCD as a strategy that focuses on utilizing local assets rather than focusing on problems. This study used qualitative methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to understand the real conditions and potential in the field. The results show that the implementation of ABCD successfully increased community participation, making them more active in program planning, implementation, and evaluation. This asset-based program proved relevant and sustainable because it built on existing strengths within the community. Despite challenges such as limited capital and differences of opinion, the program's success opens up opportunities for replication in other villages and the development of local products through digital marketing. Thus, the ABCD approach not only provides a short-term solution but also opens up sustainable economic opportunities for the community.

Abstract

The successful implementation of religious moderation in schools depends heavily on the strategic role of the principal. This study aims to analyze the principal's leadership strategies as an Islamic education manager in managing religious diversity and realizing moderation at SMK Negeri Sukapura, a unique case study involving Muslim and Hindu students. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 key informants, focused observations, and document analysis, conducted from July to September 2025. The findings indicate that the school's success is driven by transformational leadership that integrates the value of moderation into all management functions. The principal implemented strategies including: 1) Inclusive planning through the integration of moderation into the Vision/Mission/Work Plan (RKS); 2) Equitable organization through the formation of interfaith work teams; and 3) Accommodative implementation through equitable holiday policies and collaborative extracurricular programs. These strategies create a balanced and harmonious school culture (tawazun), making it an effective model for managing diversity. This research has significant implications for the development of Inclusive Islamic Education Management, demonstrating that moderate Islamic principles can serve as a successful leadership framework in heterogeneous public schools. Recommendations for further researchers are to conduct comparative studies of this leadership model in various diversity contexts or to conduct action research to test the effectiveness of specific programs developed by school principals.

Abstract

In facing the challenges of the globalization era, the quality of education is highly dependent on teacher professionalism and effective leadership in schools. Although theories on collaborative and participatory leadership have been widely developed, their implementation at the junior high school level in Indonesia is still limited and suboptimal. Therefore, this study aims to explore the influence of collaborative and participatory leadership on improving teacher professionalism at MTs Alzain Pandaan, Pasuruan, through a qualitative case study approach over a three-month period. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study design. The study population included all teachers and the principal, selected through purposive sampling of ten subjects: the principal, vice principal, and eight teachers from various subjects. Data were collected using participant observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, and relevant document reviews. The research instrument was developed based on transformational leadership theory and data quality standards, and its validity and reliability were tested. Data analysis was conducted thematically through transcription, coding, and interpretation of emerging patterns. The results showed that collaborative leadership can improve open communication, active collaboration, and teacher empowerment, which significantly enhances their professionalism. These findings strengthen the argument that an inclusive leadership style can create an innovative, harmonious, and high-quality work environment. This research contributes to the literature on educational leadership and recommends longitudinal studies and the development of practical models that can be applied more broadly at the national level.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the key social and technological factors influencing the adoption of digital library services among young users and to formulate innovative strategies that enhance library attractiveness in the digital era. A quantitative approach was employed, using multiple linear regression analysis of survey data collected from 210 respondents across several urban public and academic libraries, complemented by 20 semi-structured interviews with active users and library managers. Data were processed with SPSS to examine the effects of perceived usefulness, ease of use, social norms, and environmental support on digital service adoption. The findings indicate that perceived benefits (β=0.42, p<0.01) and ease of use (β=0.35, p<0.01) significantly influence user interest in adopting digital services, while social norms and environmental support (β=0.25, p<0.05) also play important reinforcing roles. Conversely, factors such as self-confidence and perceived risks show weaker effects, suggesting the need for further psychological exploration. Interview data highlight that interactive features, active promotion, and user-friendly interfaces are crucial in shaping positive experiences and increasing adoption. The study strengthens the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with psychosocial perspectives and provides practical strategies for adaptive, user-oriented, and culturally relevant library services. Future initiatives should expand research into rural libraries and integrate cultural variables to ensure inclusive and sustainable digital transformation strategies.

Abstract

Off-task behavior of students is a major challenge in the learning process at various levels of education, including at MA Riyadhul Ulum Pasuruan. This behavior can disrupt student concentration, reduce the effectiveness of the learning process, and potentially reduce academic results. Therefore, it is important to examine the classroom management strategies applied and their effectiveness in reducing this behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze and evaluate the implementation of positive discipline strategies and behavioral reinforcement as an effort to control off-task behavior in class XII MA Riyadhul Ulum Pasuruan. The approach used was qualitative research with data collection methods through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation for one semester. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify patterns and relationships between the strategies applied and the results obtained. The results showed that the implementation of positive discipline and behavioral reinforcement consistently increased student engagement and significantly reduced off-task behavior. Teachers who build good relationships and create a pleasant learning atmosphere show more effective results. However, environmental factors and classroom atmosphere still influence the success of the strategy. The suggestions from this study are the importance of ongoing training for teachers, adjusting strategies based on student characteristics, and improving supporting facilities so that the learning environment is more conducive. This research is expected to be a practical and theoretical reference to improve effective classroom management in the madrasah educational environment.
