Abstract

Providing information services by tourist village communities for tourists requires good public speaking competencies. Public speaking competence for tourism village communities plays an important role in promoting tourism villages. The tourist village community needs to be able to communicate effectively about the significance of the village's history and cultural wealth to local and foreign tourists. The method used in this research is a literature review. Sources of literature used, namely sourced from Google Scholar, Researchgate, Google Books, and Publish or Perish, are limited to the last 5 years of publication from 2020 to 2024. The results of this study indicate that group guidance using simulation techniques is proven to be able to improve public speaking skills in tourist village communities. With this group guidance simulation technique, the tourist village community gets an interesting experience in understanding public speaking competencies consisting of motivation, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

Abstract: Kindergarten education is an important foundation in children's development, preparing them to enter higher levels of education. One of the main challenges in the learning process in kindergarten is disruptive behavior. This behavior can hinder the learning process not only for the students concerned but also for their classmates and teachers. One approach that can be used to address disruptive behavior in kindergarten students is the application of Differential Reinforcement of Other Behavior (DRO). For this reason, this service aims to find out the procedure for applying DRO to the disruptive behavior of kindergarten students. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection methods using Classroom Action Research (PTK) supported by participatory observation. The results of the implementation of this DRO application show that the provision of DRO must be carried out periodically so that student's disruptive behavior can be reduced. In addition, for the application of DRO to run more effectively, it needs to be combined with other procedures such as token economy. Keywords: Differential of Other Behavior, Disruptive Behavior, Kindergarten Students Abstrak: Pendidikan TK menjadi fondasi penting dalam perkembangan anak, mempersiapkan mereka untuk memasuki jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi. Kata kunci: Differential of Other Behavior, Perilaku Mengganggu, Siswa TK

Abstract

Strengthening students' psychological well-being is an important topic in secondary education, especially in areas with rich local culture, such as Ponorogo Regency, which is famous for its local culture, Reog Ponorogo. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of guidance and counseling teachers in developing and implementing culture-based guidance and counseling services as an effort to improve the psychological well-being of high school students. The implementation method included training and mentoring for 30 guidance and counseling teachers who are members of the MGBK SMA Ponorogo Regency through workshops, discussions, live models, and practice in developing guidance and counseling service modules independently. The results showed that the majority of participants demonstrated increased understanding and skills in integrating local cultural potential into guidance and counseling services. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed that 98.67% of participants reported benefiting from the training, 72% of participants reported that the material presented was easy to understand, 97.33% of participants reported that the methods used were appropriate, and 98.67% of participants reported that the training helped improve their competencies. This training has proven to have a significant impact in positively contributing to the strengthening the competence of guidance and counseling teachers in supporting students' psychological well-being through a contextual service approach based on local culture.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) management in schools plays a strategic role in student development, yet its implementation often faces obstacles in meeting the Operational Implementation Guidelines (POP) standards. This study aims to identify the discrepancy between the ideal POP BK standards and the actual implementation of individual counseling management at SMA Negeri 4 Surabaya. This study employed an evaluative approach using the Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM) to assess Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC) aspects. Data were collected via interviews, observations, and documentation to compare actual conditions with established standards. The results show that overall, individual counseling management complies with standards, but implementation is not yet comprehensive. Significant discrepancies were found in the counseling process, which lacked theoretical adherence, needs assessments limited to AKPD instruments, and outcome evaluation and follow-up restricted to monitoring without in-depth analysis. While service management is functional, strengthening counselors' professional competence and developing data-driven evaluation systems are necessary to optimize counseling effectiveness.
