Abstract

Now, many palm oil farmers still use noncertified palm oil seed including farmer in Asahan District, North Sumatera. The use of noncertified palm oli seed causes big losses, its because productivity from noncertified palm oil seed smaller than certified palm oil seed. The purpose of the study was to identify the characteristics of farmer, analyze farmer decision and factors that determine farmer decision to utilize certified and noncertified oil palm seed in Asahan District, North Sumatera. This research use 100 farmer respondens. The method of the research is descriptive analysis and logistic regresion. The result showed that there were five major factors significantly influence the farmer’s decision to use certified and noncertified oil palm seed in Asahan District, there were age factor, resistance to pest and plant diseases factor, experience farming factor, scale of land area factor, and seed access factor.

Abstract

Palm oil farming productivity is largely determinate by seed quality. The growing importance of the use of good quality seed to palm oil production encourages farmer to be more critical in choosing variety of palm oil seed. Attitude dan satisfaction of farmer in using certified palm oil seed is important to understand what the farmer want in farming activities. This research is designed to observe it. The attitudes of farmers were analyzed using fishbein multiatribut approach while customers satisfied using Important Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfied Index (CSI). Based on this research, attributes that affect farmers in using certified seed palm oil are production potential, seed endurance, plant age, seed viability, efficient in use fertilizers, variety, seed size, seed certified label, seed price, fresh fruit bunch price, seed location, seed availability, ease of selling fresh bunch price, and shop promotion. Fishbein multivariate analysis show that neutral attitudes on certified palm oil seed (76 percent). While result CSI on certified palm oil seed are satisfied 70.04 percent farmers.

The research is aimed at obtaining the concentration of microorganism local bamboo shoots and long soaking the right to increase the growth of plants Mucuna bracteata. The study used an experimental method with a 2 factorial randomized block design (RBD). The first factor is the MOL concentration of the bamboo shoots which consist of 4 level that is: Control (R0), 100 ml/l (R1), 150 ml/l (R2), 200 ml/l (R3) and a factor of two is long immersion which consists of 4 level that is: Control (M0), 15 minutes (M1), 30 minutes (M2), 45 minutes (M3). The data were analyzed using (Analysis of Variance) with a significant 5% and followed by The DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) with a significant 5% using SAS software version 9.3.1. Based on the results of data analysis, the results showed that the effect of local microorganism concentration (MOL) of bamboo shoots on Mucuna bracteata plants had a significant effect on tendril length at a concentration of 150 ml/l (R2) at the age of 4-5 MST and a concentration of 200 ml/l (R3) in age 6 MST, and root shoot ratio at a concentration of 150 ml/l (R2), but did not significantly affect the number of leaves, fresh and dry weight of shoots, fresh and dry weight of roots, number of root nodules, and root length. Soaking time and interaction had no significant effect on the number of leaves, tendrils length, weight of fresh and dry shoot, fresh and dry weight of root, root nodule number, root length, and the ratio of root header.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik petani, menganalisis tahapan proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian petani dalam memilih benih bersertifikat dan non sertifikat, dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian petani dalam memilih benih kelapa sawit bersertifikat dan non sertifikat di Kabupaten Labuhan Batu Utara. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan bantuan 100 responden. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan regresi logistik. Hasil dari analisis faktor membentuk 3 faktor yang mempengaruhi, yaitu faktor pendidikan, faktor ketahanan terhadap hama, dan penyakit dan faktor harga.

Abstract

ABSTRAKProduktivitas kelapa sawit petani rakyat sangat rendah dibandingkan dengan produktivitas rata-rata di Indonesia. Hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya pemakaian benih bersertifikat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik petani kelapa sawit di Desa Blankahan dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi petani rakyat dalam memilih benih kelapa sawit bersertifikat di Desa Blankahan Kecamatan Kuala Kabupaten Langkat. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 89 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik uji Regresi Linear Berganda. Berdasarkan data yang didapat sebesar 77% faktor-faktor seperti Pendidikan, Pengaruh Pihak Lain, Lama berusahatani, Luas Lahan, Harga Benih, Akses Benih, Kualitas dan Persepsi. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 23% berasal dari faktor-faktor di luar penelitian. Hasil dari uji F dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel independen secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel dependen yaitu keputusan pembelian kelapa sawit adalah variabel Pengaruh Pihak Lain, Harga Benih , Akses Benih dan Kualitas.Kata kunci: Kelapa Sawit, benih bersertifikat, keputusan pembelian.ABSTRACT The productivity of smallholder oil palm is still low compared to the average productivity of Indonesia. This is due to the lack of use of certified seeds. This study to determine the characteristics of oil palm farmers in Blankahan Village and to determine the factors that influence smallholder farmers in choosing certified oil palm seeds in Blankahan Village , Kuala District, Langkat Regency. The population and sample in this study were 89 people. This research uses multiple linear regression test technique. Based on the data obtained 77% of factors such as education, influence of other parties, leght of farming, land area, seed price, seed access, quality and perception. While the remaining 23% came form factors outside the study. The results of the F test can be concluded that the independent variable, namely the decision to purchase palm oil. And the variabels that influence the decision to purchase pal oil are the variabels of the influence of other parties, price of seeds, access to seeds and quality.Keywords: oil palm, certified seeds, purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the effects of product quality, price, brand image and packaging can affect the purchasing decision for palm oil derivatives. This study conducted on the consumers of Bina Swalayan in Jalan Setia Budi Medan City. This study uses a primary source taken from 100 respondents by answering questionnaire. The result of this study determines that purchasing decision for palm oil derivatives is affected positively and significantly by product quality, price, brand image and packaging. The result of this study determine that the coefficient of determination (R-Square) obtained of 0,528, thus it can be determined that effect of product quality, product quality, price, brand image and packaging on purchasing decision for palm oil derivatives 52.8%, while remaining 47.2% is influenced by other factors. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of attributes found in Blue Band margarine products on consumer loyalty towards margarine. The attributes to be analyzed in this study are brand image, taste, packaging, and nutritional content. The respondents consist of 100 housewives from the Medan Johor District. The sample was drawn from the population based on calculations using the Slovin method. Data obtained from the respondents were then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the use of SPSS software. The data processing results show that all four independent variables, namely brand image, taste, packaging, and nutritional content, affect respondent loyalty. Abstract

This community service program aims to increase traders’ the knowledge and skills in the Tangkahan Tourism Village by innovating souvenir products for tourists. The method of implementing this service consists of Socialization, Training, Mentoring and evaluation. There were 20 participants involved in this activity, and they were souvenir traders in the Tangkahan Tourism Village. The evaluation instrument used in this activity was a questionnaire, and analyzed descriptively. The results of this service show that traders in the Tangkahan Tourism Village have knowledge and skills in packaging souvenir products that can be sold to tourists. Apart from that, traders realize that packaging is one of the attractions in stimulating consumer buying interest, especially in tourist areas.

Abstract

This community service program aims to increase the knowledge and skills of Women in Namo Sialang Village, packaging herbal tea products produced by processing natural ingredients like rose, tawar and sembur (made from special spices and herbs from the community). The method for implementing this service used participatory training with activities including socialization and assistance with product packaging. The number of participants involved was 20, consisting of a Women Group named "NandeTa". The evaluation instrument used in this activity was a questionnaire, which was analyzed descriptively. The results of the service showed that there had been an increase in the knowledge and skills of "NandeTa" in packaging the herbal tea that had been produced. Apart from that, "NandeTa" also became aware that packaging was one attraction that stimulates consumer buying interest, especially in tourist areas.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the packaging innovation of dishwashing liquid products by Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group) in Sialang Buah Village, North Sumatera, to increase their economic value and marketability. The methods employed include training, mentoring, and technology implementation, focusing on new pouch plastic packaging designs and both digital and conventional marketing strategies. The results indicate an improvement in participants' knowledge and skills in determining the cost of goods sold (COGS), using packaging equipment, and marketing products through social media. With these innovations, the Starlight dishwashing liquid brand is expected to gain better competitiveness and serve as a sustainable funding source for Pokdarwis.
