Abstract

Fever is one of the common complaints in children that often causes concern for parents. Non-pharmacological treatments like aloe vera compresses are considered effective because they contain active compounds that have cooling and anti-inflammatory effects. This study aims to find out how effective aloe vera compresses are in lowering body temperature in children with fever at UPTD Puskesmas Benteng, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pre-test post-test approach. The sample consisted of 15 children, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was done by measuring body temperature using a digital thermometer before and after the intervention. Data analysis was carried out using a paired sample t-test and independent t-test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant decrease in body temperature after applying aloe vera compresses (p < 0.05). The average body temperature of children before the intervention was higher compared to after being given the aloe vera compress. Aloe vera compresses are effective in lowering body temperature in children with fever. This intervention can be used as an easy, safe, and inexpensive non-pharmacological alternative in managing children's fever.   Demam merupakan salah satu keluhan umum pada anak yang sering menimbulkan kekhawatiran pada orang tua. Penatalaksanaan non-farmakologis seperti kompres lidah buaya (Aloe vera) dinilai efektif karena mengandung senyawa aktif yang memiliki efek menyejukkan dan anti inflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas kompres lidah buaya terhadap penurunan suhu tubuh pada anak yang mengalami demam di UPTD Puskesmas Benteng Kabupaten Indargiri Hilir. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment dengan pendekatan one group pre test-post test. Sampel terdiri dari 15 anak dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengukuran suhu tubuh menggunakan termometer digital sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dan independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat penurunan suhu tubuh yang signifikan setelah dilakukan kompres lidah buaya (p < 0,05). Rata-rata suhu tubuh anak sebelum intervensi lebih tinggi dibandingkan setelah diberikan kompres lidah buaya. Kompres lidah buaya efektif dalam menurunkan suhu tubuh pada anak yang mengalami demam. Intervensi ini dapat dijadikan alternatif non-farmakologis yang mudah, aman, dan murah dalam penatalaksanaan demam anak

Abstract

Primiparous mothers are in a critical phase that often triggers anxiety due to a lack of mental readiness in caring for newborns after delivery. This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of leaflet media education in increasing the self-efficacy of primiparous mothers in newborn care at UPTD RSUD Raja Musa Sungai Guntung, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research is experimental with a pre-experiment design using a one group pretest-posttest plan. The population consisted of 25 primiparous mothers who had already given birth at UPTD RSUD Raja Musa, using total sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire on the self-efficacy of primiparous mothers regarding newborn care. The results of the univariate analysis showed that before being given education with the leaflet, the majority of respondents had low maternal self-efficacy at 52%, and after being given education with the leaflet, 60% had good knowledge. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test obtained a Z value of -4.377 and an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05 (p = 0.000 < 0.05), indicating that using the leaflet is effective for primiparous mothers' self-efficacy in newborn care within 48 hours. Therefore, it is hoped that health workers at UPTD RSUD Raja Musa can use the leaflet as one of the standard educational media provided to primiparous mothers starting from the postpartum care period.   Ibu Primipara merupakan fase kritis yang sering memicu kecemasan akibat ketidaksiapan mental dalam merawat bayi baru lahir setelah persalinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas edukasi media leaflet dalam meningkatan efikasi diri ibu prmipara dalam perawatan bayi baru lahir di UPTD RSUD Raja Musa Sungai Guntung Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Eksperimen dengan desain pre experiment dengan rancangan one group with pretest-posttest. Populasi berjmlah 25 orang ibu prmipara yang sudah melakukan persalinan di UPTD RSUD Raja Musa, dengan menggunakan Teknik total sampling. Data dikumpul menggunakan kuesioner tentang Efikasi diri Ibu primipara tentang perawatan bayi baru lahir. Hasil analisis univariat mayoritas responden sebelum diberikan edukasi dengan leaflet efikasi diri ibu yang kurang sebanyak 52% dan sudah diberikan edukasi dengan leaflet memiliki pengetahuan yang baik sebanyak 60%. %. Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test diperoleh nilai Z = -4,377 dan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05 (p = 0,000 < 0,05) yang menunjukkan penggunaan media Leaflet efektif terhadap Efikasi diri ibu primipara dalam perawatan bayi baru lahir 48 jam. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan tenaga kesehatan UPTD RSUD Raja Musa dapat menjadikan media leaflet sebagai salah satu media edukasi standar yang diberikan kepada ibu primipara sejak masa perawatan postpartum.
