Abstract

This study aims to reveal the sensibility and the sociocultural practice of the KCJ cyber community in a multicultural space. This research uses digital ethnographic methods to reveal the cultural practices of cyber societies and cultural productions born from their new habits. Indirectly, the impact of alleviating society from the digital divide led them to sociocultural change. The KCJ community entered into a hybrid space. The online activities of the KCJ community form a local-multimedia sensibility, both of a general nature such as limited internet access by looking at the world globally or explicitly using the Internet as a medium of interaction and communication with only a limited community. In practice, KCJ's sensibility as a multimedia society mingles with the traditional sensibility that social practices still follow local customs, values, and norms.

Abstract

Polemics and social inequality are the primary basis for story building in several of Najib Mahfudz's works. As the primary source, the social constellation presents to seek the formation of relations between social structures and literature. Various social systems come with articulations in economic, cultural, and political forms. This article will explore the context of government and state apart from being an executive institution and exercising sovereignty with its power. The identification of sovereignty is closely related to very paradoxical power. This type of research is qualitative. This type is classified because the primary data source in the study is in the form of textual data from the novel Yauma Qutila al-Zaim by Najib Mahfudz using a postmarxis approach. In this study, two main problems are discussed. First, how is the manifestation of the dual function of state power and sovereignty; second, why sovereignty is placed and positioned as a structure with very high absolutism. The duality formation between sovereignty and power that forms a network of sovereignty with all its forms of transformation. The sovereignty network then includes a working logic of power and sovereignty with all forms of attribution inherent in it.

Therefore, the government’s motive and literary taste behind the TFP can be elaborated further. There are two primary techniques for the data collection in this research; 1. Digital library research is utilized to access relevant information about TFP, and 2. Interview the writers to get information about their experience participating in TFP. All collected data are synchronized in the analysis to explain the binding knot among the literary translation production, TFP, and FBF. As a result, the study reveals that there were some motives behind the production of literary translation through the TFP. Those motives were also related to the literary taste influenced by international demand.

The first structure leads to popular culture, while the second structure leads to art culture. In the first structure, Reog Bulkiyo dance group uses relational capital with relatives, social and Islamic groups to survive in the midst of competition with other popular arts. The dance then gains a relationship with the academy and the state which provides relational, cultural, and symbolic capital in the form of granting intangible cultural heritage status. Abstract

Kata kunci: cerpen, singularitas, identitas, komunitas, multitude Seno Gumira Ajidarma, through short story “Selamat Pagi Bagi Sang Penganggur,” uses the position of the main character to assess the condition of other individuals who are considered to lose their freedom as a person. As unemployed, the main character - Aku - also has difficulty unlike what is considered identical to his identity but has more freedom than other workers who are in certain structural systems. Through this short story, this paper questions the author's tendency to lead to discourse about the concept of singularity. The point of view of this paper uses the theory developed by Antonio Negri and Jean Luc-Nancy regarding the concept of singularity and identity. This paper found that the author tends to criticize the concept of identity that classifies individuals as commodities that are only seen based on their value. This form of identity occurs because of the power of the global order in the form of capitalism as biopower. Singularity which portrayed on the community that built in the story is offered by author as an alternate. Family as the smallest formable community and imaginary community which formed on “Aku’ universe as the main character is the formed community. In this community, singularity empowers individuals as a distinct and independent subjects. Keywords: short story, singularity, identity, community, multitude
