Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor that determines organizational effectiveness and competitiveness. Organizations increasingly rely on effective leadership and clear organizational goals to improve employee productivity and work outcomes. This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership and goal clarity on employee performance in Indonesia. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 150 employees working in various organizations in Indonesia through a structured questionnaire measured using a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25, employing descriptive statistics, validity and reliability testing, and multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, suggesting that leaders who inspire, motivate, and provide a clear vision contribute to improved employee productivity and engagement. In addition, goal clarity also shows a significant positive effect on employee performance, indicating that employees perform better when organizational goals and expectations are clearly communicated. Furthermore, the simultaneous analysis reveals that transformational leadership and goal clarity together significantly influence employee performance, with a coefficient of determination of 50.7%, indicating that these variables substantially contribute to explaining employee performance. The findings highlight the importance of effective leadership practices and clear goal-setting in enhancing employee outcomes. This study contributes to the literature on organizational behavior and human resource management by providing empirical evidence from the Indonesian context and offers practical implications for managers seeking to improve employee performance through leadership development and clear communication of organizational goals.

Abstract

Culinary small enterprises operate in highly competitive and dynamic markets where rapid imitation, shifting consumer preferences, and technological change intensify pressures on business growth. Within this context, innovation capability has emerged as a critical managerial resource, yet empirical evidence explaining how it translates into sustainable growth remains fragmented, particularly in culinary SMEs. This study investigates the effect of innovation capability on business growth from a management perspective using an empirical quantitative research design. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to owner-managers and top managers of culinary SMEs operating for at least three years in urban and semi-urban areas. Innovation capability was conceptualized as a multidimensional construct comprising product, process, marketing, and organizational innovation, while business growth was measured through perceived growth in sales, market expansion, and business scale. Data were analyzed using variance-based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings demonstrate that innovation capability has a significant positive effect on business growth, with marketing and product innovation showing the strongest impacts. The results further reveal that managerial orientation, digital capability, and organizational learning enhance the effectiveness of innovation capability in generating sustainable growth. This study contributes to innovation and SME management literature by positioning innovation capability as a strategic, growth-enabling managerial capacity.

Abstract

Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) has become increasingly important in Engineering Decision Support Systems because growing algorithmic complexity often reduces transparency, accountability, and practitioner confidence despite substantial improvements in predictive capability. This study develops a conceptual framework that integrates engineering data processing, artificial intelligence inference, explainability mechanisms, and human-centered decision support within a unified multilayer architecture. A non-empirical system design methodology based on design-oriented systems research, architecture-based evaluation, and scenario-driven analytical simulation is employed to examine architectural consistency, interoperability, traceability, and explainability across representative engineering contexts. The analytical results indicate that explanation fidelity, interpretability, transparency, traceability, and modular scalability function as complementary engineering quality attributes that collectively strengthen trustworthy decision support while preserving logical consistency between engineering evidence and computational reasoning. The proposed architecture also demonstrates technology independence and adaptability across heterogeneous engineering domains through explicit modular interactions and standardized information flows. This study contributes an architecture-centered perspective that advances theoretical understanding of explainable engineering intelligence while providing a reproducible conceptual foundation for future empirical implementation, quantitative validation, and standardized evaluation of trustworthy Engineering Decision Support Systems.

Abstract

This study examines the normative foundations, regulatory coherence, and systemic implications of international sustainable finance standards governing green investment policies. Employing a non-empirical doctrinal and conceptual methodology, the research evaluates the internal logic, teleological orientation, and comparative divergence of sustainable finance frameworks across jurisdictions. The analysis demonstrates that contemporary regulatory reforms have progressively embedded environmental, social, and governance considerations into financial supervision and capital market governance, yet without fully resolving tensions between market efficiency, developmental policy objectives, and ethical commitments to intergenerational equity. Comparative assessment reveals fragmented implementation patterns that generate asymmetries in taxonomy design, disclosure regimes, and prudential integration, thereby limiting substantive harmonization at the global level. The findings further indicate that sustainable finance operates through overlapping rationalities risk internalization, capital allocation steering, and value-based accountability whose hierarchical relationship remains insufficiently articulated in existing standards. By advancing a structured normative benchmark grounded in long-term financial resilience and systemic stability, this study contributes to theoretical debates in economic stability, banking regulation, and sustainable investment governance.

Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between work-life balance and employee well-being within the contemporary hybrid work environment through a systematic literature review approach. Findings indicate that while flexible working arrangements offer substantial autonomy and reduce commuting fatigue, they simultaneously introduce risks of digital burnout if institutional boundaries remain ambiguous. The analytical synthesis reveals that supportive leadership and robust organizational policies serve as critical mediating mechanisms to mitigate professional stress and enhance job satisfaction. Ultimately, achieving sustainable corporate performance in the modern digital era requires a paradigm shift toward outcome-oriented management that prioritizes human well-being alongside operational efficiency.

Abstract

The phenomenon of increasing herbal supplement purchases through e-commerce platforms presents new challenges for pharmacy students in understanding product safety and legality within the digital space. As future healthcare professionals, students are required to possess the acuity to verify products to prevent health risks for the public. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve students' pharmaceutical digital literacy through an interactive workshop on smart strategies for selecting safe and legal herbal supplement products. The implementation methods included lectures, focus group discussions, and case studies utilizing authentic learning media such as product labels, BPOM permit verification, health claim analysis, and critical assessment of consumer reviews. The program's success was evaluated through pre-test and post-test instruments to quantitatively measure the improvement in participants' knowledge. The results indicated a significant increase in understanding by 33%, particularly in the ability to identify legal products, analyze claim accuracy, and optimize digital literacy features. In conclusion, this workshop has a positive and strategic impact on students' readiness to face digital pharmacy challenges in the Industry 4.0 era, while simultaneously preparing them to serve as education agents for the wider community.
