Abstract

AbstractMoral value education is both a demand and a need for human beings as amanifestation of togetherness in terms of nations and countries with a variety ofproblems. There are a lot of problems, such as global terrorism andmultidimensional crises, which one country cannot solve on its own because to doso it needs other countries supports. Moral value education is an alternativeproblem solution which is local, regional, national, and international in nature. Ithas become a global issue in several countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, India, andChina) and it has some differences and similarities. The differences result from thecountries different ideologies. However, such countries emphasize moral valueeducation on moral ethic values, especially on values related to human rights thatare universal and global in nature. The concept of moral value education proposedby Kohlberg and Miller tends to be individualistic. Therefore, its needs to becomplemented by taking account of the paradigm proposed by Capra that humanlife is built on the basis of a systemic and holistic view of life, one which is notpartial and individualistic. In its implementation, it needs an appropriate approachand a relevant method and technique. The approaches to moral value educationinclude inculcating, modelling, facilitating, and skill development approaches, andthe methods include dogmatic, deductive, inductive, and reflective methods. Keywords: moral value education, global perspective

Abstract

Up to the present time, the public is more familiar with the figures of Kartini, Dewi Sartika, and Cut Nyak Dien as icons of Indonesian women emancipation fighters. In reality, for hundreds of years before Kartini was born, in the 7th century, the Kingdom of Kalingga has been led by a woman, Queen Shima. Not much of the historical data has recorded her name and roles. In the midst of this condition, there were published two novels which enumerate the way of life of Queen Shima, entitled Putri Kalingga (Wibidharma, 2022) and Avatar Keadilan: Pesona Kebajikan Maharatu Shima dari Negeri Kalingga (Nararosa, 2010). The present study is aimed at understanding the existence of Queen Shima as a pioneer of Nusantara feminism by using the perspectives of feminist literary approach. The study was qualitative feminist research. The data sources of the study were the two novels Putri Kalingga and Avatar Keadilan: Pesona Kebajikan Maharatu Shima dari Negeri Kalingga. Data were the narratives that tell about the characteristics and way of life of Queen Shima as King of Kalingga Kingdom which contain information about her position and roles in Nusantara women history. Findings of the study show that Queen Shima, whose life story is told in the two novels Putri Kalingga and Avatar Keadilan is not only a fictitious character, but also a historical figure from the 7th century, who is hauled up as King of Kalingga Kingdom not because of inheriting the crown from her parents, but because of the intelligence, wisdom, and leardership capacities she has. In the perspectives of feminist literary criticism, Queen Shima represents Nusantara feminisim that has been practiced in the era of the Kalingga kingdom.

Abstract

This work aimed to synthesize MnFe2O4 nanoparticles using the coprecipitation method. Manganese chloride dihydrate (MnCl2.4H2O) and iron sand from South Cianjur, Indonesia, were used as a precursor for MnFe2O4 nanoparticle synthesis. The iron sand elements and compounds were tested using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). MnFe2O4 nanoparticle was characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX), and Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). The X-Ray Fluorescence test result showed that 70.54% of South Cianjur contained iron sand. The SEM test result showed that the nanoparticles have an average size of  73.75 nm with a round shape, which was attributed to the agglomeration process. The EDX test result showed that the synthesized nanoparticle contained only Mn, Fe, and O elements without contaminants. The XRD test result showed that the crystal phase of MnFe2O4 was formed with a crystal size of less than 27 nm. The largest reflection losses in the 11.5 - 12.5 GHz range were found in MnFe2O4 with 1:2 variation, i.e., 35.08 dB. This study found that adding iron sand increases MnFe2O4 microwave absorption.

Abstract

This study aimed to synthesize iron sand-based Copper Ferrite (CuFe2O4) using the coprecipitation method. The iron sand was taken from South Cianjur and used as a Fe cation source to synthesize CuFe2O4 nanoparticles. Three composition variations of CuCl2.6H2O and iron sand (Fe3O4) were employed, i.e., 1:1, 1:2, and 2:1. Samples were characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy - Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX), and Atomic Adsorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The XRD analysis exhibits three synthesis-phase results: CuFe2O4, Fe2O3, and CuO. The produced CuFe2O4 has two crystal structures: t-CuFe2O4 in 1:2 variation and c-CuFe2O4 in variations 1:1 and 2:1. Adding Cu resulted in smaller crystal size and higher lattice parameters. SEM-EDX analysis of 1:2 sample variation showed a round-shaped particle of 102.57 nm. AAS analysis showed that the increased mole of Cu decreases the heavy metal, including Pb and Mn, adsorption capacity. The largest adsorption capacity was found in the 1:2 (60.698 mg/g).
