Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming healthcare by enhancing patient education and supporting decision making autonomy. While AI application in various healthcare contexts is well documented, its role in empowering decision making autonomy in fertility treatments remains underexplored. This study introduces a novel perspective by evaluating the impact of AI driven education on patient understanding and autonomy in fertility treatments, incorporating the moderating roles of trust in AI and prior patient experience. Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS SEM), data was analyzed from individuals undergoing or considering fertility treatments. The results show that AI driven education significantly enhances both understanding and autonomy, with understanding acting as a critical mediator. Notably, trust in AI and prior experience primarily influence understanding but do not directly affect autonomy, highlighting the complex relationship between knowledge and decision making independence. This research emphasizes the need to tailor AI tools to address both informational and psychological needs of patients, marking a novel contribution to AI driven patient centered care, especially in sensitive medical contexts. The studys findings underscore the importance of expanding the sample to diverse populations and examining psychological and cultural variables, areas that have been minimally addressed in previous AI healthcare research.

Abstract

This research analyzes information security risk management on the website of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) using the COBIT 2019 and NIST 800-30 frameworks. The main objective of this research is to identify weaknesses in existing security controls and provide recommendations for improvements to deal with cyber threats, specifically DDoS, cross-site scripting (XSS), deface, and SQL injection attacks, which can disrupt service availability and data security. The research methods included interviews with five key stakeholders who have responsibilities in information security, as well as the distribution of questionnaires to ten IT staff. Data from the interviews and questionnaires were analyzed using risk mapping according to the COBIT 2019 framework and NIST 800-30 to identify capability gaps. The results showed specific weaknesses in the management of controls against XSS and DDoS threats, especially in the aspects of monitoring and incident response. The research conclusions emphasize the need to improve risk management through the addition of more up-to-date security technology, increased security awareness and training for staff, and regular security audits to ensure the sustainability of risk management. Recommendations include the implementation of a more sophisticated threat detection system, periodic training for staff, and a more structured incident response procedure to improve security and ensure continuity of public services through the DPRD NTB website.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has had a considerable impact on the efficiency of education administration, especially in the management of scholarship information. However, many institutions still experience difficulties in handling data and limited access to scholarship information. The purpose of this research is to create a Scholarship Information and Consultation Center website for Straya Institute that can overcome these difficulties through prototyping. The prototyping approach allows for iterative development, ensuring that the system responds to user needs through continuous feedback and revision. The system is intended to facilitate access to scholarship information, program registration, and consultation with users. Evaluation methods include system testing using black-box testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), involving administrative and general users. The results showed a high level of user satisfaction (average UAT score of 98.2%), verifying the efficiency, usability, and usefulness of the system. This research advances the field by providing an effective digital solution for scholarship management, improving accessibility, and optimizing administrative operations. Future research could look at other enhancements such as automated scholarship file selection and AI-powered recommendation systems to improve user experience.

Abstract

This study explores the use of peer review as a pedagogical strategy to improve undergraduate students’ understanding of domain class diagrams in an Information Systems course. The research examines students’ experiences and perceptions of peer feedback during a domain class diagram modeling task. Quantitative data were collected through a Likert-scale survey, while qualitative insights were gathered from open-ended responses. Findings show that students generally perceived peer review as beneficial for reinforcing conceptual understanding, promoting critical thinking, and identifying modeling errors. Most students rated the clarity, usefulness, and educational value of peer feedback highly, especially in supporting their comprehension of object-oriented principles. Students also reported gaining diverse perspectives, improving soft skills such as giving and receiving feedback, and deepening their understanding through observation and reflection. The study concludes that peer review can be a valuable learning tool in technical modeling contexts when accompanied by clear rubrics, guidance, and reflective practice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the internal control system on the quality of financial statements at the West Java Regional Financial Management Office. The results showed that the internal control system in the control environment has a significant positive effect on the quality of financial statements, with a significance value of 0.004 and a t-count of 3.155 which is greater than the t-table of 1.703. This indicates that the effective implementation of the internal control system can improve the quality of financial statements. However, the preparation and implementation of policies related to human resource development still need to be improved. In addition, the internal control system in risk assessment also has a positive effect with a significance value of 0.013 and a t-count of 2.110, indicating that risk identification needs to be done with a more comprehensive methodology. Simultaneously, both the control environment and risk assessment have a significant effect on the quality of financial statements with a significance value of 0.009 and an F-count of 5.717. These findings confirm the importance of strengthening the internal control system to improve the accountability and transparency of local government financial reports.

Abstract

Manufacturing information systems are fundamentally integrated with computer technology, where computers play dual roles in physical process control and informational data management. This research focuses on developing an ice block production management system for the State-Owned Fisheries Enterprise (PERUM Perikanan Indonesia) in Banda Aceh using Visual Basic, aiming to replace manual record-keeping with an automated solution. Through field observations of production workflows and structured interviews with operators and managers, alongside a literature review of 15 academic references, the study designed a system capable of real-time data operations (addition, modification, retrieval) and automated reporting for sales value and cost analysis. Comparative testing demonstrated a 65% reduction in data processing time (from 15 to 3 minutes per transaction) and a 92% reporting accuracy rate, surpassing the 78% accuracy of manual methods. The system reduces monthly operational costs by 52.2% (from IDR 2.3 million to IDR 1.1 million), providing a scalable digital tool to enhance transparency and decision-making in ice block manufacturing. Future enhancements could integrate machine learning for demand forecasting and mobile interfaces for real-time monitoring.

Abstract

The document archiving information system at the Banda Aceh Sharia Court currently faces efficiency challenges due to its reliance on conventional document storage methods, such as filing cabinets and manual record-keeping in books. This results in suboptimal accuracy levels. Additionally, significant space allocation is required for storage solutions like filing cabinets, folders, and shelves. Another issue is the time-consuming nature of document retrieval due to disorganized arrangements. From a cost perspective, there are additional expenses for the maintenance and upkeep of archive storage areas. This research aims to address the following questions: How can a more efficient Document Archiving Information System be designed for the Banda Aceh Sharia Court? Will the implementation of this system enhance the speed and accuracy of available information? What is the process for presenting this Document Archiving Information System at the Banda Aceh Sharia Court? The focus of this study is on developing an information system that provides alternative solutions to document archiving challenges using the Visual BASIC.NET approach. Furthermore, the study highlights the procedures for storing and retrieving archives within the document archiving information system at the Banda Aceh Sharia Court. The waterfall method, also known as the sequential method, was employed in the design of the Document Archiving Information System. Data collection was conducted through various research methods, including observation, interviews, and literature studies. The tools used in the application development include Microsoft Visual Basic.NET for interface design and Microsoft Office Access as the database management system. Testing results indicate that the developed system meets the identified needs, including efficient data input processes and accurate reporting
