Abstract

Abstract

The swift growth of Information Technology (IT) enterprises across Jakarta's region creates a major obstacle: maintaining work-life balance for staff members while facing demanding productivity pressures and unpredictable work schedules, both factors contributing to elevated stress levels. This research sought to examine how work-life balance affects employee performance, with particular focus on investigating the mediating functions of job satisfaction and employee engagement within IT company workforces. Through a quantitative methodology, information was gathered from 195 full-time employees using digital questionnaires and examined with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results demonstrate that proper work-life balance creates positive effects on employee performance, especially when mediated significantly by employee engagement. Conversely, job satisfaction failed to appear as a meaningful mediator within this connection. To summarize, for enhancing employee performance, IT enterprises must emphasize work-life balance strategies that proactively encourage employee engagement. This method has demonstrated superior effectiveness compared to concentrating exclusively on job satisfaction alone.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of three elements - Government Accounting Standards (GAS), Internal Control Systems (ICS), and the utilization of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) on the accuracy of financial reporting at the Investment and Integrated One-Stop Services Office (DPMPTSP) in West Java Province. The researchers employed a quantitative methodology, selecting 30 participants from 194 total staff members through purposive sampling. The researchers analyzed the data using a technique known as Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The outcomes indicate that out of the three factors examined, only the use of Accounting Information Systems has a significant influence on the quality of financial reports (with statistical significance at p-value < 0.05). Government Accounting Standards implementation and Internal Control Systems did not show any significant impacts. The R² value of 0.906 in the research indicates that 90.6% of the variation in financial report quality is explained by these three variables working together. The results suggest that enhancing accounting information system usage is the primary driver for improving financial reporting quality within government organizations. The implementation of government accounting standards and internal control systems need to be reviewed and strengthened so that their contribution to the quality of financial reporting becomes more significant.

Abstract

Abstract

Through the perspective of partnership for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 17th), this study aims to identify and describe the information gaps among stakeholders of the dive tourism industry of Komodo National Park as one of the super-priority tourism destinations in Indonesia. Researchers studied documents, performed field observation, and conducted in-depth interviews with 20 stakeholders. Qualitative content analysis revealed several notable findings. First, the information gaps among stakeholders are generally linked to knowledge disparity about tourism-technical and local sociocultural issues. Sociocultural information, particularly on environment preservation issues, shows the tendency to predominate everyday discourse rather than tourism technical information. Second, the foreigner community appears to be better than local stakeholders at mastering the sociocultural information discourse, particularly in terms of collaboration on environment preservation information. Further studies are needed to examine the interaction among actors predominating the sociocultural information management and their strategies to collaborate in maximizing the role of Destination Management Organization-Destination Governance (DMO-DG).

Abstract

Hoaxes are a perilous byproduct of huge technology advancements, particularly the rise of social media. Using Twitter as an example, it is one of the most popular social media platforms for information sharing, communication, and entertainment. As a consequence, Twitter users may readily propagate fake or hoax information. The aim of this study is to find public opinion about hoaxes derived from Twitter user conversations around COVID-19. This study makes use of Twitter data obtained from Drone Emprit Academic. This study examined all processed tweets and surveyed public opinion on "Hoaks" (including mentions, retweets, and replies). The DEA engine analyzes the word frequency and mood of Twitter users to determine if a predominant emotion is good, negative, or neutral. According to the study results, netizens remarked on the COVID-19, alleging that the appearance of the Delta type variation was caused by the vaccination, not the virus. They do not regularly check facts owing to boredom, laziness, and reliance on just one source of information verification. Furthermore, only information that corresponds to their interests and needs will be approved. Thus, via discourse about Hoax, social media allows the formation of a platform for mutual understanding, sharing, and dynamically debating the meaning of demonstrations. This research provides a contribution to the disclosure of information about public opinion towards a discourse discussed on Twitter with the help of a DEA engine.
