Abstract

Digital transformation in education continues to expand, yet many schools in Indonesia still lack the infrastructure, financial capacity, and technical expertise needed to operate conventional information systems. These limitations often leave institutions dependent on fragmented paper records, offline spreadsheets, or government reporting tools such as Dapodik, which do not support daily operations or provide access for teachers, students, and parents. Motivated by these constraints, this study applies a case-based engineering approach to design and validate a cloud-based School Information Management System for a resource-limited religious school. Google Apps Script, Google Sheets, and Google Drive were selected over server-based alternatives due to their zero-cost serverless execution, native integration, minimal maintenance requirements, and usability for non-technical staff. WhatsApp automation was implemented through the Wablas API to leverage the platform’s dominant role in school–parent communication. The resulting system provides modules for student and teacher data management, class scheduling, document submission, academic grading, dashboards, and automated notifications. Development followed the Waterfall model, while validation included black-box testing of functional requirements and a System Usability Scale (SUS) assessment involving administrators, teachers, and student guardians. All functional tests passed, and the SUS evaluation indicated acceptable usability. The findings demonstrate that a serverless, Google-ecosystem stack can deliver a reliable, scalable, and affordable management system for schools that cannot operate local servers and require a lightweight digital solution to replace manual workflows.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the success of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) implementation at STMIK Bina Bangsa Kendari using the DeLone & McLean model. This model measures information system success through six main variables, namely System Quality, Information Quality, Service Quality, Use, User Satisfaction, and Net Benefit. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to students as the primary users of the system. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling, with a total of 259 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that System Quality and Information Quality have a significant effect on both Use and User Satisfaction. Meanwhile, Service Quality does not significantly affect Use but has a significant effect on User Satisfaction. Furthermore, the variables Use and User Satisfaction are proven to have a significant effect on Net Benefit. The R-Square values indicate that the model has a good capability in explaining the dependent variables, particularly user satisfaction and system benefits. Overall, the findings reveal that the success of SIAKAD is strongly influenced by system quality, information quality, and user satisfaction. Therefore, improving system and information quality, as well as strengthening technical support services, are essential factors in enhancing the benefits of academic information systems in higher education institutions.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged business sectors to utilize information systems to support operational activities, including the car spare parts sales process. However, the implementation of an information system should not only be evaluated from its functional aspects, but also from the quality of user experience. This study aims to analyze the quality of user experience in the car spare parts sales information system at CV Sumatra Motor using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. The UEQ instrument consists of 26 question items covering six dimensions, namely attractiveness, efficiency, perspicuity, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to system users and then processed by calculating the mean score for each UEQ dimension. The results showed that the overall mean score was 2.09, which is categorized as very good. The stimulation dimension obtained the highest score of 2.19, followed by perspicuity with 2.18 and attractiveness with 2.14. Meanwhile, the novelty dimension obtained the lowest score of 1.92, but it still falls into the good category. These results indicate that the system provides a positive user experience, particularly in terms of ease of use, comfort, and user engagement. Nevertheless, the novelty aspect still needs improvement through feature development, interface refinement, and system innovation to provide a more optimal user experience.

Abstract

The quick development of artificial intelligence has contributed to the use of chatbots as alternative methods for collecting information within organizations. However, empirical studies that combine technology acceptance and system success perspectives to clarify chatbot usage remain lacking. This study analyzes the adoption of chatbots as information search engines by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model (ISSM) through a quantitative approach involving the distribution of questionnaires to 400 employees who have experience interacting with chatbots. The research model includes Information Quality, System Quality, Service Quality, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Intention to Use, and Actual Use, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that System Quality and Service Quality substantially impact Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness. Perceived Ease of Use significantly influences Perceived Usefulness, which eventually impacts Intention to Use and Actual Use. However, Information Quality doesn't significantly impact Perceived Ease of Use or Perceived Usefulness. These results provide theoretical and practical insights for improving chatbot adoption for employees.

Abstract

This study investigates the shifting patterns of consumer information-seeking behavior in Indonesia amid the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) search tools such as ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini, and Perplexity. Grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model and Consumer Decision Journey framework, the study proposes an integrated conceptual model in which AI adoption drives information processing, builds consumer confidence, and shapes brand consideration through AI-mediated recommendations. An exploratory quantitative survey was conducted via Google Forms from March 3 to 13, 2026, distributed through professional networks including Sales Director Indonesia (SDI), the Indonesian Marketing Teachers Association (AGMARI), and corporate client networks spanning multiple provinces. A total of 1,617 responses were collected (1,596 valid). The findings reveal that 74.6% of Indonesian consumers have used AI tools for product research, 26.4% are heavy users, 52.3% are influenced by AI brand mentions, and 79.8% perceive AI as accelerating their decision-making. Notably, consumers aged 55 and above demonstrated the highest AI-first adoption rate (24.2%), challenging conventional assumptions about generational technology adoption — a phenomenon herein termed the Silver Surfer Paradox. The study contributes theoretically by extending the Consumer Decision Journey framework to AI-mediated information environments and empirically by repositioning task complexity over digital nativity as a stronger predictor of AI adoption. Practically, the findings establish Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) as a strategic imperative for digital business in the AI era.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of an ISO/IEC 27001:2022-based Information Security Management System (ISMS) in an information technology unit at a university. The method used is quantitative descriptive with Gap Analysis, through observation, documentation study, and a compliance questionnaire for 93 Annex A controls. The results show that ISMS implementation is at a moderate level with a medium compliance category. Most controls have been implemented according to SOPs (40% with a score of 3), but there are still obstacles in the form of uneven control implementation (16% with a score of 0) and a lack of formal documentation (14% with a score of 1). The effectiveness of ISMS is influenced by management support, documentation standardization, and a culture of information security awareness. This study recommends improving documentation, strengthening internal audits, and preparing for international certification through an ISMS development roadmap to strengthen the university's information security resilience against cyber threats.

Abstract

Traditional Association Rule-based recommendation methods often exhibit limited coverage and high redundancy when applied to sparse transactional data, thereby constraining their effectiveness for product discovery in e-commerce systems. This study proposes a hybrid recommendation framework that integrates customer behavioral segmentation with graph-based item representation learning to address these limitations. Customers are first grouped into behaviorally homogeneous clusters using historical transaction features. For each cluster, an item co-occurrence graph is constructed and weighted using pointwise mutual information to mitigate sparsity bias and emphasize informative associations. Graph-based representation learning is then applied using Node2Vec to generate low-dimensional product embeddings that capture both local structural proximity and higher-order relational patterns. The proposed framework explicitly restricts the candidate item space to the Top 100 most frequent products within each behavioral cluster, thereby focusing the recommendation task on improving localized discovery within high-frequency product segments rather than global catalog exploration. The objective of this research is to assess whether segmentation-aware graph embeddings can outperform traditional FP-Growth association rules under a strict temporal split between the Historical Training Set and the Hold-out Evaluation Set, ensuring realistic and leakage-free evaluation. Model performance is evaluated using precision, recall, normalized discounted cumulative gain, and intra-list diversity on the Hold-out Evaluation Set. Experimental results indicate that the proposed graph-based approach improves ranking quality and diversity within constrained high-frequency item spaces, demonstrating more effective localized discovery within Top 100 product segments compared to FP-Growth. These results demonstrate that graph-based embeddings are more robust to sparse behavioral patterns within high-frequency product segments and better suited for exploratory recommendation scenarios within dense product subsets. The proposed framework offers a scalable and temporally valid foundation for knowledge-driven recommender systems.

Abstract

Pematang Gubernur Subdistrict is a residential area with relatively high population density and diverse community activities. However, limited directional information signs are still found in RT 29 RW 01, particularly regarding public facilities and strategic locations. This condition makes it difficult for visitors and newcomers to navigate the area. This community service program aims to provide environmental information media through the creation and installation of Strategic Direction Signboards (PANTERAS). The implementation methods include field observation, signboard design, construction, installation at strategic points, and brief socialization to residents. The results show that the signboards help improve environmental order and facilitate access to location information for the community.
