Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial transparency and data security on user trust in peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platforms in Indonesia. The rapid growth of fintech services has increased public adoption of digital lending platforms; however, concerns regarding transparency and cybersecurity remain significant challenges affecting consumer confidence. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 250 respondents who had experience using P2P lending platforms in Indonesia. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results indicate that financial transparency has a positive and significant effect on user trust, demonstrating that clear and accessible financial information enhances perceptions of platform reliability and accountability. Data security was also found to positively and significantly influence user trust, indicating that strong protection of personal and financial information increases confidence in digital transactions. Simultaneously, financial transparency and data security significantly influence user trust in P2P lending services. The findings suggest that fintech companies should strengthen transparent financial communication and cybersecurity systems to maintain public trust and support the sustainable development of digital financial services in Indonesia.

Abstract

Stress among university students negatively impacts their academic progress and mental health. Early detection is crucial for targeted intervention. This research designs and evaluates a machine learning model using the XGBoost algorithm to predict stress among undergraduate students of Information Technology Education at Universitas Brawijaya. Utilizing the CRISP-DM methodology, the study processes data from the DASS-42 questionnaire and academic records. The workflow included data pre-processing to handle missing values and class imbalance, followed by model training and evaluation. Six scenarios tested prediction targets (five-level multi-class and binary ‘Normal’ or ‘Stress’), data handling, and hyperparameter tuning. Results indicate that the binary classification model was significantly superior. The best model, utilizing original data and default parameters, achieved an accuracy of 97.87%. Evaluation proved its reliability, achieving 100% recall for the ‘Stress’ class, ensuring no at-risk cases were missed (0 False Negatives). Feature importance analysis identified Mother’s Education as the dominant predictor. The research output includes a functional dashboard prototype equipped with LIME interpretation for individual case analysis.

Abstract

This study evaluates the success factors of a tourism management information system implemented by startup XYZ using the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model. Startups in the tourism industry are becoming more dependent on digital platforms, which prompted this research because there has been little user-centered evaluation of tourism information systems. Involving 75 active users of the system, a quantitative explanatory method was used. A systematic questionnaire with 44 questions was used to gather data. The questions covered topics such as system quality, information quality, service quality, use, user satisfaction, and net benefits. Research methods encompassed creating instruments, collecting data, analyzing it statistically, checking reliability using Cronbach's Alpha, and expert validation with Aiken's V. The instrument demonstrated strong validity and reliability with an overall Aiken's V value of 0.8247. Additionally, all constructs attained Cronbach's Alpha values above 0.70, further supporting these findings. Descriptive statistics, construct correlation, multiple regression, coefficient of determination (R²), and F-test analyses were used to examine the data. All descriptive factors had high mean values, suggesting that users had a good impression of the system. System quality and service quality had a substantial impact on user happiness, according to regression analysis, but information quality and system quality had a substantial impact on system usage. Perceived net benefits were also heavily impacted by system utilization and user satisfaction. The results show that the DeLone and McLean model may be used to evaluate TISs. Making the system more responsive, making the information more accurate, and improving the user support services should be the goals of future enhancements.

Abstract

The implementation of the Coretax System beginning in 2025 marks a fundamental shift in Indonesia's tax administration infrastructure, introducing a fully integrated accounting information technology platform that affects all taxpayer categories. Despite its potential to improve efficiency and transparency, many taxpayers within community settings lack the technical readiness to operate the system correctly. This paper reports on a Community Service (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat/PKM) activity conducted by the Tax Center, Accounting Study Program, Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya Campus, held on March 6, 2026 at GSJA Ebenhaezer Church, Surabaya. The workshop was specifically designed for members of the church congregation, comprising professionals, employees, and small business owners who share the common need to fulfill their annual tax obligations through the new Coretax platform. Through a hands-on training format covering Coretax account activation and the practical filing of the 2025 Annual Tax Return (SPT Tahunan), the workshop successfully met its target attendance of at least 25 participants, with over 85% completing the full session. Findings indicate that structured, community-embedded accounting information technology training significantly improves participants' confidence and competence in using the Coretax System. This initiative demonstrates that university Tax Centers can serve as effective bridges between government-led digital tax reform and the practical readiness of community-based taxpayer groups.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed both the strengths and limits of government crisis and risk communication digitally connected but socially diverse societies such as Indonesia. Rapid dissemination was achieved, yet misinformation, declining trust, and uneven digital literacy constrained public engagement. This study examines digital literacy as a mediating factor between information provision and citizen empowerment during Indonesia’s pandemic response. Using a case study of central government communication, it analyzes regulations, public messaging, and digital engagement practices to refine an existing crisis and risk communication model. By integrating the Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication (CERC) framework and Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT), the research highlights how transparency, participation, and inclusivity can be systematically embedded into government communication. Findings shows that digital literacy is not only a technical skill but also a socio-political resource shaping trust, compliance, and resilience. The proposed model shift emphasis from one-way information delivery toward participatory, trust-based, and digitally inclusive practices. While grounded in Indonesia, the study offers comparative insights for other contexts where digital innovation intersects with fragile trust and uneven preparedness. This study contributes theoretically by extending CERC and SCCT with a literacy dimension, and practically by outlining pathways for governments to foster resilience through digital literacy initiatives.
