Abstract

The increasing demand for effective school-to-work transition mechanisms in vocational education highlights the need for integrated digital platforms. At State Vocational High School 2 Padang Panjang, the dissemination of job vacancy information and alumni data management remains manual, fragmented, and inefficient. Traditional communication channels, such as WhatsApp groups and direct phone calls, often fail to reach all alumni, while data collection via Google Forms lacks automation, scalability, and security. To address these challenges, this study developed a web-based Special Job Fair Information System using the Prototype development model. The system was implemented using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, allowing for real-time data management, secure job vacancy submissions, automated alumni tracking, and dynamic report generation. Performance testing using GTMetrix demonstrated strong system reliability, with a performance score of 94%, structure score of 97%, and favorable metrics including 1.5 seconds for Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), 0 milliseconds Total Blocking Time (TBT), and a Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) score of 0. These results indicate a fast, stable, and responsive user experience. The system offers a scalable solution for improving graduate employability services in vocational education institutions, particularly in resource-constrained environments.

Abstract

The digital transformation of public administration has reshaped the daily conditions under which civil servants or Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) deliver public services. However, the association between technological, behavioral, and demand-side factors and employee performance in local government agencies remains insufficiently explored. This study examined the simultaneous and partial predictive relationships between information technology utilization, work discipline, and workload with self-reported employee performance at the Environmental Agency or Dinas Lingkungan Hidup of Tanjungbalai City, Indonesia. A quantitative, associative, cross-sectional, and non-experimental survey design was employed. Primary data were collected using a five-point Likert questionnaire administered to civil servants at the agency. Of the 35 ASN, 34 returned complete and usable responses, producing a near-census with one non-response. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after validity, reliability, and classical assumption testing in IBM SPSS Statistics. The findings indicate that the three predictors jointly explain 46.3% of the variance in self-reported employee performance (F (3, 30) = 8.635, p <.001). The partial pattern was positive and statistically significant: work discipline was the strongest predictor (β = .383, p = .013), followed by information technology utilization (β = .346, p = .028) and workload (β = .296, p = .049). Because this study was cross-sectional and based on self-reports, these results should be interpreted as perceived or predictive associations rather than definitive causal effects. The positive workload coefficient is interpreted cautiously within the observed workload range and does not imply that increasing the workload generally improves performance; an excessive workload may still impair performance. The theoretical and managerial implications for human resource management in local government agencies are discussed.

Abstract

The increasing use of digital messaging platforms in higher education has transformed the ways students communicate with lecturers. While WhatsApp offers a convenient and efficient medium for academic interaction, it also raises important questions regarding the linguistic practices employed by students in maintaining professionalism and appropriateness in digital communication. This study investigates the linguistic patterns found in students’ academic short-message communication with lecturers through WhatsApp. Employing a descriptive qualitative design, the study analysed 60 academic messages produced by four undergraduate students during the 2025 academic year. The data were collected through documentation techniques and analysed using content analysis. The findings reveal six prominent linguistic features: greetings, honorifics, apology expressions, indirect requests, gratitude expressions, and compliance statements. These linguistic patterns demonstrate that students strategically employ language not only to convey information but also to construct academic identities, negotiate institutional relationships, and maintain professional communication. The findings further indicate that politeness remains a central component of digital academic discourse despite the informal nature of WhatsApp as a communication platform. Drawing on Politeness Theory, Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC), Academic Discourse, and Critical Discourse Analysis perspectives, the study argues that students’ linguistic choices are shaped more strongly by institutional norms and sociocultural expectations than by technological affordances. The study contributes to the growing body of research on digital academic communication by providing empirical evidence from the Indonesian higher education context and highlighting the interaction of language, identity, authority, and technology in academic messaging practices. The findings offer insights for students, lecturers, and educational institutions seeking to promote effective and professional digital communication.

Abstract

Purpose: Electronic Health Information Systems (EHIS) are widely adopted in Indonesian hospitals, but this has introduced significant data security challenges. This study assesses EHIS data security implementation, identifies systemic vulnerabilities, and offers evidence-based improvement recommendations.Research Methodology: A mixed-methods design was employed, combining surveys, interviews, and document analysis. Data were triangulated using the Electronic Health Information Systems (EHIS) security frameworks: the CIA Triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability), ISO/IEC 27001, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework. Results: Four key security gaps were identified: awareness training (70% aware, 45% trained), policy compliance (85% have policies, 60% implement encryption), high incident rates (65%, mainly unauthorised access and malware), and low technology adoption (50% encryption use, 35% multi-factor authentication). Conclusions: Indonesian EHIS security shows policy compliance gaps. Priorities include multi-factor authentication, encryption, staff training, and audits, supported by ISO/IEC 27001 and Minister of Health Regulation (PMK) No. 24/2022.Limitations: The case study sample may not represent all Indonesian hospitals, access to internal security incident data was limited, and quantitative results are descriptive rather than inferential.Contributions: This study analyzes EHIS data security in Indonesia using survey data and international frameworks to provide evidence based recommendations.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is a mainstay of the Indonesian economy, yet it faces serious challenges in the form of a nationwide decline in cultivated land area. This study aims to examine the state of food crop agriculture, identify the benefits derived by the community, and analyze the Total Economic Value (TEV) of agricultural activities in Bleberan Village, Playen Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with an economic valuation approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, documentation, and interviews with 100 farmer respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data analysis includes the calculation of direct utility value, indirect utility value, option value, and existence value. The results of the study indicate that agricultural activities in Bleberan Village are divided into three main phases: pre-planting, planting, and post-harvest, with corn as the flagship commodity due to its adaptation to dry land. The Total Economic Value (TEV) of food crop agricultural activities in Bleberan Village reached Rp 2,584,508,776. This value consists of direct benefits of Rp 1,493,057,500, indirect benefits of Rp 1,089,829,596 (including oxygen-producing and carbon-absorbing functions), choice value of Rp 468,840, and existence value of Rp 1,152,840. These findings confirm that the economic benefits of agriculture extend far beyond the mere market value of commodities, encompassing ecosystem services and existential values that are crucial to the sustainability of the region.

Abstract

Accurate demand forecasting is essential for salt-processing enterprises because fluctuating demand can affect production planning, inventory control, and distribution efficiency. This study examines the demand for table salt products at CV Restu Ibu by applying the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average with Exogenous Variables (ARIMAX) model using product price as an external predictor. Monthly sales and price data for 1 kg, 2 kg, and 4 kg packaging sizes from January 2018 to December 2025 were analyzed through the Box–Jenkins procedure, including stationarity testing, model identification, parameter estimation, diagnostic checking, forecast evaluation, and projection for 2026–2028. The results show that all demand series became stationary after first-order differencing. The best models were ARIMAX (2,1,1) for the 1 kg product, ARIMAX (1,1,1) for the 2 kg product, and ARIMAX (0,1,1) for the 4 kg product. Diagnostic testing using the Ljung–Box test confirmed that all selected models satisfied the white-noise residual assumption. The forecasting accuracy was excellent, with Mean Absolute Percentage Error values of 2.363%, 2.824%, and 1.559%, respectively. The forecast results indicate a declining demand trend for the 1 kg product, an increasing trend for the 2 kg product, and a fluctuating pattern for the 4 kg product. These findings demonstrate that incorporating price information improves the representation of demand dynamics and supports product-specific forecasting for price-sensitive salt products. The study also confirms that packaging size produces heterogeneous demand behavior, making differentiated forecasting more appropriate than a single aggregate demand model in practice.

Abstract

This study examines the healthy diet intention using the Theory of Planned Behavior framework, in which it investigates the roles of attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control in predicting individuals’ intentions to adopt healthy dietary behavior, and the mediating role of attitude in the relationship between digital information exposure and healthy diet intention. This study was prompted by the increasing awareness about diet and the proliferation of information about healthy diets in digital media, but there is an increase in the number of obesity cases in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using an online survey involving 213 respondents in Indonesia, and data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). Structural model analysis revealed that digital information exposure significantly influences attitudes toward a healthy diet. Furthermore, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control significantly predict healthy diet intention, with attitude emerging as the strongest predictor. These results highlight the important role of digital media in shaping health-related attitudes and behavioral intentions. The study contributes to the development of TPB research by integrating digital information exposure into the model and provides practical implications for digital health communication and nutrition promotion strategies.
