Abstract

This study aims to examine the association between human-centered digital marketing strategy and transaction-stage purchase decisions for government-subsidized housing in Lampung, Indonesia. A cross-sectional quantitative survey involved 100 purposively selected adults who had been exposed to housing information through digital channels and had reached a formal transaction stage, namely a subsidized mortgage application, booking-fee or down-payment payment, or completed purchase. A 40-item questionnaire measured perceived digital marketing strategy and consumer purchase decision. Item-total correlations supported item screening, and internal consistency was high for digital marketing strategy (α = 0.942) and purchase decision (α = 0.936). Regression assumptions were met. Digital marketing strategy was positively associated with purchase decision (B = 0.869, β = 0.968, t = 38.406, p < 0.001), and the model accounted for 93.8% of score variance (R² = 0.938). The findings position digital housing communication as a human-centered welfare service when it improves information clarity, credibility, responsiveness, and access across platforms. Because the data were cross-sectional, self-reported, and purposively sampled, the result is associational rather than causal.

Abstract

This study aims to implement K-Means Clustering with attribute-level adjustment in a web-based TPQ student assessment information system and evaluate the quality of the resulting clustering results. The study was conducted at TPQ Ashfiya' Kauman Ngoro Jombang using a dataset of 40 students at the Al-Qur'an level obtained from learning assessment data. The variables used include fashohah, tajwid, ghorib and musykilat, as well as voice and melody. The clustering process was carried out using the K-Means algorithm to group students based on similarity in scores, while attribute adjustment was applied in the system design to prevent unused assessment components from being interpreted as low ability scores. Evaluation of cluster quality was carried out using the Sum of Squared Error (SSE), Silhouette Score, and Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI). Based on the evaluation results, K=3 was selected because it formed an interpretable grouping structure and was supported by the Elbow Method. The results show that the application of the K-Means method in the information system can help group students' abilities in a more structured and objective manner and support assessment data management by TPQ teachers. However, the results of this study are a case study in the TPQ environment studied and have not been intended for generalization to a wider population.

Abstract

Background: Libraries are often perceived as neutral institutions that provide access to information, support literacy, and preserve cultural heritage. However, recent cases of censorship, book banning, leadership intervention, and professional self-censorship show that libraries are frequently shaped by political and ideological pressures. Previous studies have largely examined censorship as isolated cases, leaving limited attention to the broader power relations that structure library governance, collection policies, and public access to knowledge. Objective: This study aims to analyze how political interventions occur within library institutions, examine their impacts on intellectual freedom and public access, and apply the political economy of information perspective to understand the power relations embedded in library governance and knowledge control. Methods: This study employs a critical qualitative approach with a multiple case study design. Data were collected through document analysis and literature review, including policy documents, academic studies, media reports, advocacy reports, and library-related archives. The analysis was conducted using Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), supported by source triangulation, audit trails, and reflexive reading to strengthen credibility and trustworthiness. Results: The findings show that libraries are not neutral spaces, but contested arenas where political, ideological, economic, and professional interests shape access to knowledge. The dismissal of Carla Hayden as Librarian of Congress, the banning of leftist literature in Indonesia, and practices of censorship and self-censorship among librarians demonstrate that political intervention operates through leadership control, collection restriction, professional gatekeeping, and access management. These interventions reduce knowledge diversity, weaken professional autonomy, and reproduce dominant ideologies through library practices. Conclusion: This study argues that libraries function both as democratic institutions for public access and as potential instruments of ideological control. By applying the political economy of information, it shows that libraries are contested sites where knowledge is produced, regulated, and distributed through power relations. The findings highlight the need for critical librarianship, transparent collection policies, protection of professional autonomy, and stronger collaboration among libraries, policymakers, academics, and civil society to resist censorship and promote inclusive access to knowledge.

Abstract

Background: Scientific archives play a crucial role in preserving a nation’s intellectual heritage and collective memory. However, many scientific records—particularly in developing countries—remain fragmented, vulnerable to deterioration, and poorly accessible due to limited digital integration and archival interoperability. Digital curation has emerged as a strategic approach to address these challenges by ensuring long-term accessibility, authenticity, and meaningful public engagement with scientific heritage. Objective: This study examines how digital curation practices contribute to the preservation and communication of scientific memory through the case of the Kartini Nuclear Reactor Archives integrated into Indonesia’s National Archival Information Network (JIKN).Methods: A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to analyze the digital curation process collaboratively implemented by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the National Archives of Indonesia (ANRI). The dataset consists of thirty-six digitized archival photographs produced between 1974 and 1979 and presented in a virtual exhibition on the JIKN platform. The analysis was guided by four evaluative dimensions: accessibility, authenticity, engagement, and sustainability. Results: The findings show that integration into JIKN enhances accessibility through structured metadata consistently applied across 36 archival records and supported by visual representation. Provenance and contextual integrity are maintained through identifiable metadata fields, including creator attribution and archival classification. Public engagement is evidenced through the virtual exhibition format, which recorded 320 user accesses during its display period. Conclusion: The study demonstrates that digital curation within a national archival network can transform scientific archives into dynamic infrastructures of collective memory. By integrating metadata standardization, visual access, and institutional collaboration, this approach provides a replicable model for preserving scientific heritage in developing contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the use of a Telegram-based question-answering chatbot for accessing nutrition information using the UTAUT and TAM approaches to measure user intention and behavior. The system utilizes LangChain and Large Language Models (LLMs) to deliver rapid and precise nutrition-related replies. Validity and reliability assessments were performed to confirm that the measurement equipment exhibited optimal consistency, with Cronbach’s Alpha values surpassing 0.7. The multiple linear regression results demonstrate that Effort Expectancy (EE) and Social Relationship (SI) significantly affect Behavioral Intention (BI), whereas Performance Expectancy (PE), Perceived Usefulness (PU), and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) exhibit no substantial relationship. The findings indicate that usability and social impact are more pivotal in enhancing users' propensity to use the chatbot than system utility and efficiency.

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed corporate sustainability disclosure from static reports into searchable, accessible, and stakeholder-oriented information systems. At the same time, energy and mining companies face strong legitimacy pressure because their operations are closely associated with environmental and social risk. Prior studies have examined sustainability reporting and green innovation separately, but limited empirical evidence explains how digital sustainability reporting and green innovation jointly shape the quality of sustainability information in Indonesia's energy and mining sector. This research applies an explanatory quantitative design using a balanced illustrative panel of 88 firm-year observations from Indonesia Stock Exchange-listed energy and mining companies during 2021-2024. Digital Sustainability Reporting is measured through GRI-based economic, environmental, and social disclosures; Green Innovation is measured through product, process, and marketing innovation; and Sustainability Information Quality is measured through employee, government, and customer engagement. Instrument validation, inter-coder reliability, classical-assumption diagnostics, and SEM-PLS evaluation are reported. The SEM-PLS results show that Digital Sustainability Reporting positively affects Sustainability Information Quality (beta = 0.312, p < 0.001) and that Green Innovation also has a positive effect (beta = 0.512, p < 0.001). The model explains 53.6% of the variance in Sustainability Information Quality. The findings suggest that sustainability information becomes more credible when digital disclosure mechanisms are supported by observable green innovation practices and stakeholder engagement.

Abstract

This study investigated predictors of undergraduates’ enrolment decisions and perceptions of Library and Information Science (LIS) in federal universities in southern Nigeria, using the Social Cognitive Career Theory as its theoretical framework. A descriptive survey design was adopted. The population of the study included 2,723 LIS undergraduates in nine federal universities, out of which 408 students were chosen using the stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was the questionnaire. 408 copies of the questionnaires were distributed to the respondents, and 321 responded, which were subject to data analysis with descriptive and inferential statistics via SPSS version 23. The results showed that the most effective motivational factors to study LIS were job opportunities and personal interest, which showed a transition towards career driven and intrinsic motivation. Students in general expressed positive views about LIS, especially as it was considered relevant to the national development, contribution to the information economy and intellectual challenge. Although gender did not play a significant role in the decision by students to study LIS, it played a major role in how the students perceived the programme. The study concludes that enrolment in LIS is influenced by perceived career opportunities and positive expectations of outcomes, which has implications for curriculum, career advice, and gender specific academic support. The researcher recommended LIS programmes should actively promote the wide range of career opportunities in the field and early guidance, strengthen ICT focused and practice oriented curricula, and adopt gender sensitive teaching and mentoring approaches to support informed enrolment and positive student perceptions.

Abstract

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education plans to implement a deep learning approach into the curriculum. One prerequisite for its success is student readiness supported by habits of mind and effective information processing. However, studies on deep learning readiness from the perspective of these two aspects are still limited, especially in high school biology learning. This study aims to determine the condition of students' habits of mind and information processing as supporting aspects of deep learning. The study used a descriptive quantitative-qualitative method on 134 grade X students of SMA N 1 Semarang and SMA Islam Sultan Agung 1 Semarang on environmental change material. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations, then analyzed using descriptive statistics (average, percentage, and achievement categories) and independent sample t-test. The results showed that the ability of habits of mind scored 81 (very good) in SMA N 1 Semarang and a score of 76 (good) in SMA Islam Sultan Agung 1 Semarang. Meanwhile, the results of student information processing obtained a score of 83 (very good) in SMA N 1 Semarang and a score of 81 (very good) in SMA Islam Sultan Agung 1 Semarang. Therefore, the research results indicate that students are well-prepared to support the implementation of deep learning, although critical thinking, creative thinking, and information synthesis skills still need to be strengthened. This study provides initial empirical evidence regarding students' cognitive readiness for the implementation of deep learning in biology.Abstrak. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the information sources used by new students in determining their college choices, identify the most dominant sources, and evaluate their effectiveness based on conversion rates from applicants to accepted students. Previous studies tend to examine the influence of individual channels such as social media, websites, or interpersonal factors separately, without integrating the dual dimensions of reach (awareness) and conversion (decision effectiveness). This limitation creates a gap in developing data-driven and strategically targeted higher education promotion models. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data from 4,028 applicants, of which 798 were accepted. Data were analyzed using frequency distributions, percentages, and conversion rate analysis across various information sources. The findings indicate a clear distinction between information sources that generate awareness and those that drive conversion. School promotions and guidance counselors dominate in terms of reach, while interpersonal sources (family and friends) and digital channels (WhatsApp, websites, and Instagram) demonstrate higher conversion effectiveness. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative approach that simultaneously evaluates reach and conversion across multiple information sources, offering a more comprehensive understanding of student decision-making. Practically, this study provides a data-driven foundation for designing integrated promotion strategies, where offline channels enhance awareness and digital as well as interpersonal channels optimize conversion outcomes.
