Abstract

Pastoral program planning is a critical function in Roman Catholic parishes; however, many rely on subjective judgment and manual scoring, resulting in inconsistent prioritization of programs. This study aims to design, implement, and evaluate a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) integrated with the Santa Veronika Kaiwatu Parish information system, using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to optimize pastoral program selection. The system evaluates twelve program alternatives across six criteria: spiritual impact, community reach, resource availability, urgency, sustainability, and administrative feasibility. The methodology includes database integration, PHP-based SAW computation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with fifteen parish staff and council members. Results indicate zero deviation in SAW calculations compared to manual reference scores, confirming computational accuracy. Performance testing shows response times under 1.2 seconds for up to twenty alternatives, validating system efficiency. UAT results demonstrate high user satisfaction (mean score 4.31/5), highlighting ease of use, interface clarity, and transparency in ranking results. These findings suggest that the integrated DSS effectively enhances decision-making, resource allocation, and stakeholder confidence in program prioritization. In conclusion, the SAW-based DSS provides a replicable model for parish administration. Future research may explore advanced multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques and predictive analytics to further improve planning accuracy and scalability in multi-parish contexts.

Abstract

Background: Digital transformation in the health sector, including the implementation of Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), has become a key factor in improving the efficiency of healthcare services in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of HMIS in enhancing hospital operational efficiency and to identify the factors that support and hinder its implementation. Method: A scoping review method was employed, analyzing 10 selected articles from databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and Garuda published between 2018 and 2025. Results: The findings suggest that HMIS has the potential to enhance efficiency by automating administrative processes, integrating data systems, and reducing operational costs. However, its implementation still faces multidimensional challenges, with approximately 80% of issues arising from non-technical factors—such as the absence of standardized operating procedures, limited human resource competencies, and weak management commitment—while the remaining 20% are related to limitations in technical infrastructure. Studies by Waruwu et al. (2024) and Handayani et al. (2018) confirm that human resource training and strong leadership are critical factors for successful implementation. Conclusions: The conclusions of this study emphasize the need for a holistic approach that combines technological improvements, strengthening of human resource capacity, and the implementation of sustainable policies. Policy recommendations include the development of standardized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regular training programs, infrastructure improvements, and routine evaluation mechanisms. These findings provide a comprehensive perspective for policymakers to optimize HMIS implementation and enhance hospital efficiency in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study maps the research landscape of Accounting Information Systems in the context of digital transformation by examining three key technological domains: Enterprise Resource Planning, cloud computing, and Artificial Intelligence. The dataset comprises journal articles and conference papers indexed in Google Scholar and published between 2000 and 2025 that address Accounting Information Systems in relation to at least one of these technologies. Records were retrieved using Publish or Perish and screened through purposive sampling with predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, followed by duplicate removal, bibliographic normalization, and manual term validation, resulting in a final sample of 117 publications. Bibliometric mapping was conducted using VOSviewer to visualize co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence patterns, and thematic clusters, while descriptive citation indicators were employed to capture scholarly influence. The analysis identifies three dominant research clusters: Enterprise Resource Planning integration and implementation as a mature and highly cited stream; cloud-based accounting systems as a rapidly expanding stream, particularly after 2018; and Artificial Intelligence, enabled accounting and decision-support applications as an emerging yet comparatively underexplored stream. Across the studied period, publication output exhibits a sustained upward trend, accompanied by a gradual shift from system implementation studies toward platform-based and intelligent accounting applications. However, empirical research explicitly linking these technologies to organizational performance and governance outcomes remains limited. Overall, the findings reveal the evolving knowledge structure of digital Accounting Information Systems research and emphasize the need for future studies employing robust empirical designs, cross-technology integration, and clearly defined performance and accountability measures.
