Abstract

The development of science and technology has changed the world as industry revolution change the world. The industrial revolution 4.0 has changed the economy, employment and even society itself. Educational challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in the form of changes in the way of learning, thinking patterns and ways of acting society, especially students in developing creative innovations in various fields. The characteristics that emerge in the 21st century digital world include the academic community must always explore the technological footprint, share in creating ideas and knowledge that will be created, interact and collaborate in social matters by looking at various aspects that will be applied. Primary school-age children must have an understanding in expressing themselves in the field of digital literacy and using media wisely. From the results of research found that children have begun to be familiar with digital devices such as television and gadgets. Not infrequently they also began to get used to spending time in front of these digital devices. This study aims to carry out physical development of motoric, socio-emotional, religious community of young children and elementary school, regarding digital literacy. The result is elementary school children can be directed to be able to think critically, think creatively, collaboratively and communicatively in using Information and Communication Technology

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ditujukan untuk memberikan pelatihan pembuatan buku digital bagi guru-guru produktif Lab School UPI Purwakarta. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan tatap muka (luring) dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan Covid-19 dan diikuti oleh 9 (Sembilan) orang guru. Materi disajikan dengan tiga bentuk, yaitu secara langsung, Video conference dengan Zoom, dan pemutaran video pelatihan. Terdapat empat buah software berbasis open-source web tool yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini, yaitu Canva untuk membuat cover buku, Vocaroo sebagai audio explainer, Animaker untuk membuat video berbasis motion graphic, dan hasil ketiganya dikombinasikan oleh Sigil menjadi buku digital berformat EPUB. Pelatihan menggunakan format sharing session yang mengkombinasikan kegiatan klasikal dan praktik. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa melalui pelatihan ini para peserta mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman praktik langsung menyusun buku digital. Para peserta mampu mengoperasikan web tool tersebut sehingga dapat membuat cover buku, merekam audio online, membuat video animasi, dan mengintegrasikannya dalam buku digital secara mandiri. Peserta sangat puas terhadap isi materi, cara penyampaian materi, dan pelaksanaan praktik, dengan persentase secara berurutan yaitu 86.2%, 85%, dan 88%. Ketrampilan baru yang dimiliki oleh guru pasca pelatihan ini diharapkan akan diterapkan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar saat pembelajaran jarak jauh (online learning) di SD Lab School UPI Purwakarta selama masa pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Jaringan telekomunikasi merupakan bidang ilmu yang dinamis berkembang seiring perkembangan teknologinya. Dinamika ini juga berimplikasi terhadap pengembangan media dalam pembelajaran terkait hal ini, baik di perguruan tinggi, sekolah menengah kejuruan bahkan juga di lembaga pendidikan informal. Dengan demikian, perlu kiranya dibuatkan suatu pengamatan dan penelitian terhadap hal ini. Penelitian dikembangkan dengan mengadaptasi perkembangan teknologi jaringan telekomunikasi yang ada, kemudian memanfaatkannya untuk diterapkan dalam aplikasi simulasi. Aplikasi yang digunakan adalah Opnet  (riverbed academic edition) yang dapat mensimulasikan jaringan telekomunikasi dengan mendekati kondisi aslinya. Hasilnya, diperoleh pengembangan media pembelajaran untuk merancang jaringan telekomunikasi.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate of implementation STEM education in SMK Unggulan Terpadu PGII Bandung. The research used the qualitative case study approach. This research took place at SMK Unggulan Terpadu PGII Bandung. The informants in this research were the Vice Principal of the curriculum field in SMK Unggulan PGII and Lecture of Informatics Engineering. The data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The technical analysis of the data referred to the analysis of Miles & Huberman interactive model, including data collection, data condensation, data display, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The result shows that STEM Education leads students to be able to solve problems, innovative, logical thinking, and insightful technology. So STEM will be implemented through: (1) Scientific-based learning; and (2) Achievement of Learning through Sustainable Learning.

Abstract

Tujuan dari Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk melatih kemampuan dan minat dalam mengelola content creator bagi pelajar sekolah menengah. Metode dalam Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat adalah berbentuk pelatihan yang dilaksanakan secara blended learning karena kondisi Pandemi COVID-19. Lokasi pelatihan dilaksanakan di Kampus UPI Purwakarta, Jalan Veteran No. 8 Nagri Kaler, Kecamatan Purwakarta, Kabupaten Purwakarta, Jawa Barat. Sasaran PkM ini adalah peserta didik tingkat SMA/SMK/MA di Kabupaten Purwakarta dengan jumlah peserta 20 orang. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa kebanyakan siswa menengah atas memiliki kecenderungan berinteraksi melalui sosial media. Bahkan 80% (16 siswa) berkeinginan untuk menjadi selebgram dikemudian hari. Selain itu terdapat 70% siswa tersebut pernah atau sering memasarkan produk/jasa melalui sosial media.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang modul praktikum Sistem Komunikasi Fiber Optik yang ada pada mata kuliah Jaringan Pita Lebar dan Komunikasi Optik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode perancangan dan eksperimen, yaitu dengan melaksanakan perancangan pada konfigurasi sistem jaringan fisik yang telah ada. Dengan menggunakan modul yang dirancang, pada hasilnya akan dapat dilakukan pengukuran dan perhitungan link budget rancangan tersebut. , instrumen penilaian yang digunakan dalam aktivitas pembelajaran harus dapat menilai kinerja mahasiswa berdasarkan kriteria kompetensi teknis dan supervisi yang diharapkan [1]. Perancangan jaringan Fiber To The Home (FTTH) yang dilakukan dibuat dalam perangkat lunak simulasi jaringan  fiber optik, yaitu Optisystem. Sebagaimana kegiatan fisiknya, pengukuran dirancang menggunakan optical power meter, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) dan BER analyzer [2]. Hasil penelitiannya, dapat disusun sebuah konfigurasi FTTH yang dimuat pada modul praktikum Sistem Komunikasi Fiber Optik yang tepat berikut buku panduan praktikumnya (jobsheet) dengan nilai daya pada jaringan sebesar – 16,420 dBm, yakni memenuhi standar yang diperbolehkan.===========AbstractThis study aims to design a Fiber Optic Communication System practicum module in the Broadband Network and Optical Communication course. This research was conducted by design and experimental methods, namely by implementing the design on the existing physical network system configuration. By using the designed module, the results will be able to measure and calculate the design link budget. , the assessment instrument used in learning activities must be able to assess student performance based on the expected criteria of technical competence and supervision[1]. The Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network design is made in optical fiber network simulation software, namely Optisystem. As with its physical activities, measurements are designed using an optical power meter, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and a spectrum analyzer[2]. The results of the research, a FTTH configuration can be compiled which is loaded on the correct Fiber Optic Communication System practicum module along with the practical manual (jobsheet) with a power value on the network of - 16,420 dBm, which meets the allowed standards.

Abstract

Technology continues to develop very quickly, especially long-distance communication and transmission technology. This is due to the increasing human need for the internet, as seen by its availability. The main objective of this research is to analyze the impact and solution to Fiber Cut transmission on availability in the Banua Hanyar - Bati Bati Section. This research uses a correlative descriptive quantitative method to obtain a solution, namely replacing ordinary fiber optic cables and many existing cable with a new anti-rodent fiber optic cable 3 km long located 0.8 km to 3.8 km from Banua Hanyar. This solution is said to be very influential because it succeeded in increasing the availability of the Banua Hanyar - Bati Bati Section system to 100%.

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring (e-learning) merupakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang berlangsung secara online menggunakan jejaring sosial atau aplikasi tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis media interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan studi pustakan atau System Literature Review (SLR). Tujuannya adalah untuk menganalisis perbandingan teori-teori yang ada dengan teori-teori sebelumnya dalam literatur penelitian. Literatur yang digunakan adalah literatur dari hasil penelitian atau kajian yang disajikan dalam artikel ilmiah. Semua artikel yang digunakan bersumber dari mesin pencari literasi data elektronik Mendeley dan Google Scholar. Literatur yang digunakan sesuai dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian literatur. Alasan dilakukannya penelitian kualitatif adalah karena penelitian ini bersifat eksploratif. Sehingga kemudian didiskusikan lebih mendalam dengan bantuan pustaka terkait atau literature review. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan yang sudah dipaparkan melalui Systematic Literature Review maka kesimpulan yang didapatkan pada artikel ini adalah (1) Penggunaan media interaktif efektif, valid dan efisien dalam proses pembelajaran (2) Penggunaan media interaktif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that hasn’t studied much about artificial intelligence. This has resulted in a small number of publications related to that field including areas within such as machine learning. For that reason, it caused difficulties in finding relevant journal articles. The purpose of this study is to know the performance of the Content Based Filtering method in providing machine learning journal article recommendations. The research procedure used is CRISP-DM with algorithms used are TF-IDF and Cosine Similarity. The dataset used consists of 100 machine learning journal articles. Based on the research that has been done, it’s concluded that the performance of the Content Based Filtering method in providing machine learning journal article recommendations as measured using the precision evaluation matrix showed a score of 76%, which means the result is quite good. However, the model couldn’t be used properly for some data due to the small number of datasets which affects the limited recommendations.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels. Approximately 463 million adults worldwide have diabetes, and nearly half of them remain undiagnosed. Early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes are crucial to prevent serious complications. Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) offers numerous advantages over traditional fingertip blood glucose measurements. CGM allows patients to track their glucose levels in real time, identify patterns, and adjust their diet and medication appropriately. This research presents a novel optical fiber-based glucose sensor utilizing the macrobending modulation technique. This method offers several advantages, including ease of use, low cost, and strong signal generation. The sensor exploits the refractive index difference between the glucose solution and the optical fiber. Variations in glucose concentration induce changes in the refractive index, which are converted into voltage signals. The sensor exhibits a sensitivity of 337 mV/decade and demonstrates a linear relationship between the voltage signal and glucose concentration within the range of 0-10 mM. The macro bending-modulated optical fiber sensor shows potential as a simple, cost-effective, and efficient CGM tool. Further research is necessary to enhance the sensor's sensitivity and stability and to evaluate its performance in biological samples.
