Abstract

Hospitals as health service providers need to study the equipment used in health services, which is called a Health Technology Assessment. This research aims to determine the assessment of electronic medical record information technology using the Health Technology Assessment concept at regional General Hospital X Jepara. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive design. The research was conducted at the regional general hospital X Jepara which was carried out from March to June 2023. There were 13 informants in this research with 9 main informants and 3 triangulation informants. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. Data analysis for this research is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research on the concept of effectiveness can increase productivity, be more efficient, make it very easy to publish patient medical records in summary and detail, and doctors and nurses can easily access patient data by logging in using their password. Patient privacy is also maintained with limited access to open it. Service is fast and can increase satisfaction and improve hospital services from an economic perspective using health technology assessment methods. The characteristic aspect of using electronic medical records is that it makes hospital services easier. The security aspect of patient data is guaranteed because system access can only be accessed by users with an account, and the rights of each user are guaranteed. The management of the regional general hospital will easily use electronic medical records and improve the service and quality of Regional General Hospital X Jepara. Abstract

Introduction to the Problem: The development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes to journalistic practices in Indonesia, particularly through the utilization of digital media and cyberspace in press activities. On the other hand, such developments have also given rise to various cyber threats against journalists, including account hacking, digital intimidation, doxing, dissemination of personal data, and criminalization through electronic media. These conditions create legal issues concerning the protection of press freedom and the digital security of journalists in carrying out their journalistic functions. Purpose/Study Objectives: This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection afforded to journalists against cyber threats based on Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press and Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law), as well as to examine the legal certainty of journalist protection within the digital sphere. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study employs a normative legal research method using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. The legal materials consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources obtained through library research, which are subsequently analyzed qualitatively through methods of legal interpretation. Findings: The results of the study indicate that the Press Law and the ITE Law have normatively provided legal protection for journalists, both through guarantees of press freedom and regulations concerning cybercrime. However, such protection has not yet fully ensured legal certainty, as there remain overlapping regulations and the application of multi-interpretative provisions within the ITE Law that have the potential to criminalize journalists. Therefore, regulatory harmonization and the strengthening of digital security protection for journalists are necessary in order to safeguard press freedom and the protection of human rights in the digital era.

Abstract

Purpose – Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production fluctuates with Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) supply and operational conditions, making production planning difficult for palm oil mills. This study develops a CPO production prediction information system that integrates a simple linear regression model into a Progressive Web Application (PWA) to provide an accessible decision-support tool. Methods – The model was developed using simple linear regression based on 39 monthly production records. Model performance was evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and the coefficient of determination (R²), and implemented in a PWA-based system using PHP and MySQL. Findings – The regression model produced the equation Y = -101.869 + 0.238X. The model achieved R² = 0.8716, MAE = 279.80 tons, and RMSE = 335.72 tons. With average monthly CPO production of 2,000–3,000 tons, the MAE represents an approximate error rate of 10–14%, indicating moderate predictive performance. Research implications – The findings are useful for preliminary production planning, but generalization is limited by the use of one predictor, 39 observations, one palm oil mill, and the absence of k-fold cross-validation. Originality – This study contributes by combining an interpretable linear regression model with a PWA-based system for real-time CPO prediction and visualization.

Abstract

Purpose – Public literacy regarding palm oil derivative products remains limited, while structured and accessible educational resources are still scarce. This study aimed to design and develop a web-based information system that provides organized educational content on palm oil derivative products and supports public access to information on downstream palm oil industries. Methods – This study employed a library research approach using secondary data from scientific literature, government publications, and official references related to palm oil derivative products. System requirements were analyzed and modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The system was developed using HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, the Laravel Framework, and Laragon. Functional evaluation was conducted using Black Box Testing on 14 core system features. Findings – The study produced a web-based educational information system containing categorized content on oleofood, oleochemical, and bioenergy products, supported by article, video, search, and administrative content-management features. Functional testing showed that all 14 test scenarios were successfully completed, resulting in a functional success rate of 100%. Research implications – The findings indicate that the system is functionally reliable for delivering structured educational information on palm oil derivative products. However, the evaluation was limited to functional testing and did not assess usability, user satisfaction, or educational effectiveness. Originality – This study contributes a specialized web-based educational platform that integrates categorized palm oil derivative product information, multimedia resources, and centralized content management within a single system.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the role of corporate governance mechanisms in reducing information risk and enhancing investor confidence through sustainability reporting. The topic is important as increasing ESG disclosure requirements and market expectations have intensified the need for transparent and credible corporate reporting to mitigate information asymmetry in emerging markets. Design/methodology/approach – Research employs a quantitative approach using panel data from 35 firms listed in the Indeks SRI-KEHATI over the period 2018–2024, resulting in 245 observations. Panel data regression is used to analyze the effect of governance mechanisms on information risk, while Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) is applied to examine direct and mediating relationships among variables. Finding/Results – The results indicate that governance mechanisms significantly reduce information risk, particularly through independent commissioners, board size, and institutional ownership. Furthermore, information risk plays a significant mediating role in strengthening investor confidence, as lower information asymmetry leads to higher market trust. Originality/Value – This study provides empirical evidence on the mediating role of information risk in the relationship between governance mechanisms and investor confidence within the context of sustainability reporting. The findings highlight that effective governance and transparent ESG disclosure are not only regulatory requirements but also strategic tools to enhance market credibility and investor trust in emerging markets.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine and explain the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance, with digital information technology and work environment serving as mediating variables in West Java's Islamic banking sector. Design/methodology/approach: This study employed a quantitative survey design using non-probability purposive sampling. Data were collected from 280 supervisors and employees of Islamic banking institutions in West Java, Indonesia. The proposed hypotheses were tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. Findings: The results demonstrate that transformational leadership has a significant and positive effect on digital information technology adoption, work environment, and employee performance. Specifically, the work environment significantly mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance, as indicated by the indirect effect coefficient (β = 0.559, p < 0.000). In contrast, the mediating effect of digital information technology was found to be statistically insignificant. This is further supported by a p-value of 0.113, which is greater than the 0.05 significance level. Although transformational leadership encourages the use of digital information technology, technological factors alone do not significantly translate into improved employee performance without a supportive work environment. Research Implications: Islamic banking institutions should strengthen transformational leadership and prioritize a supportive work environment that fosters collaboration and employee well-being. Additionally, investments in digital technology must be accompanied by organizational improvements to maximize their impact on employee performance. Originality/Value: This study contributes to leadership and HRM literature by proving that in Islamic banking, the work environment is a much stronger mediator than digital information technology in explaining how transformational leadership enhances employee performance.

Abstract

Purpose – Modern economic growth relies not only on physical accumulation but also on digital integration. This paper examines how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) acts as a mediator in the relationship between conventional macroeconomic variables infrastructure, labor quality, domestic investment (PMDN), and foreign investment (PMA) and economic growth in Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach – This quantitative study uses panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia during the period 2018–2024 (238 observations). The study applies panel data econometric methods to analyze the mediating role of ICT in the relationship between infrastructure, labor quality, investment, and regional economic growth in Indonesia. Finding/Results – The results show that infrastructure, labor quality, PMDN, PMA, and ICT significantly contribute to economic growth in Indonesia. ICT significantly mediates the effects of infrastructure, PMDN, and PMA on economic growth, but does not significantly mediate the relationship between labor quality and economic growth. Originality/Value – This study introduces IP-TIK as the "missing link" explaining why traditional macro variables often fail to yield optimal growth in developing regions. The main take-home message is that physical infrastructure and investments must be integrated with digital ecosystem development to achieve inclusive economic growth.

Abstract

Background - The transformation of digital investment behavior has made social media the main source of information, but the high credibility of finfluencers has the potential to trigger a flood of information overload that affects investors' rationality. Purpose – This study aims to analyze the influence of finfluencers' credibility on the quality of individual investors' investment decisions through the role of information overload mediation and the role of financial literacy moderation. Method – The research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey design of 270 individual capital market investors in Indonesia who were selected using the purposive sampling technique, where structural model testing is carried out simultaneously using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS).  Finding/Results – The results show that the credibility of finfluencers has a positive and significant effect on information overload, while information overload is proven to have a significant negative effect on reducing the quality of investors' investment decisions. The mediation analysis confirmed that information overload significantly mediated the influence of finfluencers' credibility on the quality of investment decisions, while the moderation analysis proved that good financial literacy was able to weaken the negative impact of information overload. Conclusion – The conclusion of this research emphasizes that the abundance of digital information from credible sources does not necessarily increase the accuracy of economic actions, but rather requires a cognitive fortress in the form of financial skills so that the quality of investment decisions is maintained rationally.

Abstract

Purpose – Oil palm plantation operations in Indonesia require coordination across multiple divisions; however, meeting scheduling and information dissemination are often managed through separate, manual processes. This may cause communication delays, scheduling conflicts, and inconsistent information deliveries. This study aims to design and implement an AI-based workflow automation system that integrates meeting scheduling and information dissemination into a centralized platform to support the automated coordination and information management across organizational units.Methods – This study employed the Design Science Research (DSR) approach, covering problem identification, literature review, system design, implementation, testing and evaluation. The proposed system integrates Gemini AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Telegram Bot, Zoom API, Google Calendar API, and Google Sheets to automate meeting scheduling, information dissemination, and document management.Findings – The implemented system successfully automated meeting scheduling, calendar synchronization, information dissemination, and documentation management within an integrated platform. Functional testing confirmed that the core features operated as intended in the scenarios evaluated. The system also supports information classification based on public and private access.Research implications – The system was evaluated through functional testing in a simulated oil palm plantation context and depends on third-party API services, which may limit its generalizability. User acceptance, organizational effectiveness, and efficiency were not evaluated. Nevertheless, the proposed architecture can be adapted to other organizational settings that require automated coordination and centralized information management.Originality – This study proposes an AI-based workflow automation architecture that integrates communication and productivity services to support the end-to-end automation of meeting scheduling and information dissemination in oil palm plantation operations.

Abstract

The management of the internship program at the Department of Communication and Informatics (Diskominfo) of Sidoarjo Regency is currently conducted manually. This conventional approach faces significant challenges regarding information transparency, the ease of monitoring daily activities, and the administration of program completion, necessitating a digital transformation to enhance service quality. This research aims to design and develop a web-based internship information system to automate the entire administrative process at Diskominfo Sidoarjo. The system development utilized the Personal Extreme Programming (PXP) method, encompassing the requirements phase, a planning phase that resulted in 28 user stories, as well as design, implementation, and system testing. Technically, the website was built using the Express.js framework and the React.js library. The result is a functional information system that provides features for internship data management, daily activity monitoring, and program completion administration. System testing was conducted using the black-box testing method, which demonstrated that all functionalities met the functional requirements of the users. Overall, the web-based internship information system at the Department of Communication and Informatics of Sidoarjo Regency was successfully developed using the Personal Extreme Programming approach.
