Abstract

The hotel industry increasingly relies on data-driven managerial practices to improve operational and financial effectiveness. However, prior studies have predominantly examined HR analytics in relation to HR performance and organizational outcomes, while its role in financial decision-making remains underexplored. This study aims to examine the effect of HR analytics on financial decision-making in the hotel industry, mediated by managerial information quality and moderated by digital capability. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using a cross-sectional survey design. Data were collected from 234 respondents working at 78 three- and four-star hotels in Bandung and the surrounding areas, including hotel managers, HR managers, finance managers, supervisors, and hotel administrators with at least 3 years of work experience. The data were collected between January and February 2026 using an online questionnaire distributed through Google Forms and measured using a five-point Likert scale. The proposed model was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that HR analytics positively influences financial decision-making and managerial information quality. Managerial information quality was also found to significantly mediate the relationship between HR analytics and financial decision-making. In addition, digital capability significantly strengthens the relationship between HR analytics and managerial information quality. The novelty of this study lies in integrating HR analytics, managerial information quality, digital capability, and financial decision-making into a single framework in the hospitality context. The study contributes to hospitality management literature by emphasizing the strategic role of analytics and digital capability in improving managerial and financial practices. Abstract

Problem The increasing use of English in medication labels, package inserts, and pharmaceutical information resources presents challenges for patients with chronic diseases, particularly in primary healthcare settings where medication literacy is essential for safe and effective medicine use. This study aimed to assess the level of English drug information comprehension among patients with degenerative diseases attending Tirtajaya Primary Health Center. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from April to June 2026 involving 135 patients selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire assessing participants' understanding of English medication terminology, including generic drug names, dosage instructions, administration frequency, storage conditions, warning statements, and adverse effects. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize demographic characteristics and comprehension levels. Of the 135 participants, 55.6% were male and 44.4% were female, with most aged 26–35 years (39.3%). The majority had completed a bachelor's degree (44.4%) and worked as private employees (37.0%). Assessment of English drug information comprehension showed that 51.9% of participants demonstrated moderate comprehension, 37.8% achieved good comprehension, and 10.4% had poor comprehension. While most respondents understood basic medication instructions, many experienced difficulty interpreting specialized pharmaceutical terminology. Patients with degenerative diseases generally demonstrated moderate English drug information comprehension. Strengthening pharmacist-led counseling, improving medication literacy, and providing bilingual educational materials may enhance patients' understanding of medication information, promote the rational use of medicines, and improve patient safety in primary healthcare

Abstract

Effective management of public sectors requires rigorous oversight, yet organizations frequently encounter vulnerabilities in safeguarding state-owned wealth. Specifically, the Education Office of West Java faces critical challenges in maintaining the accountability and security of its fixed assets, often due to fragmented tracking and inadequate oversight mechanisms. This study investigates the impact of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) on the internal control of fixed assets at the Education Office of West Java. By analyzing this relationship, the research aims to determine how digitalized accounting frameworks can optimize asset safeguarding and reporting accuracy. The research employs a quantitative survey approach to gather primary data. The target population comprises administrative and financial staff within the institution, from which the study draws a sample of 40 operational employees directly involved in asset management. The data analysis utilizes structural equation modeling or multiple linear regression analysis (processed via statistical software) to evaluate the reliability, validity, and statistical significance of the system's impact on internal control measures. The statistical results demonstrate that the Accounting Information System exerts a significant positive impact on the internal control of fixed assets at the Education Office of West Java. Higher levels of AIS implementation directly correlate with stronger, more transparent, and highly efficient asset control mechanisms. While previous literature extensively covers AIS in private corporate sectors, this study offers fresh insights by contextualizing these dynamics within a regional public education department. It bridges the empirical gap regarding how localized bureaucratic structures adapt to automated accounting controls. The findings imply that government institutions must prioritize the modernization of their accounting software and provide continuous technical training for staff. Implementing these systemic upgrades will minimize the risk of asset misappropriation, ensure compliance with regional audit standards, and ultimately enhance public trust in institutional financial management.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires Generation Z students to possess not only technical skills but also critical and character-oriented digital information literacy. However, digital learning practices in schools tend to focus primarily on the use of technology, without a systematic inquiry framework to develop information evaluation skills and digital character formation. This study aims to analyze perceptions, readiness, and the potential adaptation of the Framework of Skills for Inquiry Learning (FOSIL) in digital information literacy learning. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving teachers, librarians, and students as research participants. Data were collected through semi structured interviews focusing on digital learning experiences, information-seeking habits, and perspectives on FOSIL implementation. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns, meanings, and interrelationships among the findings. The results indicate that although digital learning has been actively implemented, students still tend to rely heavily on search engines and artificial intelligence tools and experience difficulties in evaluating the credibility of information. The FOSIL model is perceived as relevant to the learning characteristics of Generation Z, particularly in the Wonder and Reflect stages; however, its implementation requires adequate facilities, strengthened library support, and teacher competency development. This study concludes that adapting FOSIL has the potential to systematically structure digital inquiry processes while simultaneously strengthening students’ responsibility, academic integrity, and ethical media use. These findings have implications for the development of inquiry and character based digital literacy learning models in secondary education.

Abstract

This study examines user reviews of the WhatsApp application as digital information objects that reflect user perceptions of digital information service quality. The rapid growth of communication platforms has generated large volumes of user-generated content, which requires systematic analysis and functions as a form of digital documentation. This research aims to evaluate how machine learning and deep learning approaches can support information evaluation through sentiment analysis of user reviews. A publicly available dataset of WhatsApp user reviews obtained from Kaggle was used as the data source. The research methodology consisted of text preprocessing, feature representation, sentiment classification, and performance evaluation. Support Vector Machine (SVM) was employed as a baseline machine learning method, while Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models represented deep learning approaches. The experimental results show that deep learning models outperform the traditional approach, with CNN achieving the best performance across accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. These findings indicate that deep learning-based sentiment analysis is effective in transforming large-scale user reviews into actionable information for evaluating digital information services. This study contributes to documentation and information science by demonstrating the role of artificial intelligence in analyzing user-generated digital documentation to support evidence-based decision-making in digital service development.
