Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) by highlighting their advantages, disadvantages, and implementation solutions in the context of online learning. LMS is a digital platform designed to facilitate distance learning processes, especially amidst the increasing demand for technology-based education. Literature analysis shows that LMS has several advantages, such as simplifying access to learning materials, providing flexibility in learning time, enhancing two-way communication, and providing systematic evaluation tools. However, its implementation still faces various shortcomings, including low interaction between teachers and students, minimal learning motivation, and suboptimal utilization of available features. To overcome these obstacles, solutions are needed in the form of ongoing training for educators, development of engaging content, and selection of LMS features that are appropriate to learning needs. The study's conclusion confirms that optimal use of LMS, by considering its advantages and addressing its disadvantages, can be an effective strategy for implementing quality online learning.

Abstract

Libraries play a vital role as information centers, but manual management often leads to challenges such as recording errors, delays in the borrowing process, and low service efficiency. This study aims to develop a web-based library information system in an educational library environment to improve the speed and accuracy of services. The waterfall method was used as the development approach, comprising the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Implementation was carried out using PHP with the CodeIgniter framework and a MySQL database. The results of the study show that the system is capable of providing key features such as book search, online borrowing and returns, book and member data management, and transaction verification by the administrator. Black-box testing showed that all system functions operate in accordance with user needs. Thus, the developed system has been proven to improve operational efficiency, speed up transaction processes, and minimize recording errors in library services.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of exposure to viral artificial intelligence (AI)-based da’wah content on TikTok on Generation Z’s interest in digital da’wah. This quantitative study involved 30 active TikTok users aged 18–25 through an online questionnaire survey supplemented with qualitative data from open-ended questions. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the Microsoft Excel Data Analysis ToolPak. The results of the analysis showed a positive but weak correlation between exposure to AI-based da’wah content and interest in digital da’wah (R = 0.233; R² = 0.054; p = 0.215). This effect was not statistically significant and explained only 5.4% of the variation in interest in digital da’wah. Thematic analysis revealed that while AI-generated da’wah content has the potential to enhance accessibility and the appeal of the message, respondents expressed concerns about the credibility of the source, the loss of personal nuance, and the risk of misinformation. These findings suggest that the virality of AI-generated da’wah content has not yet become a primary driver of Gen Z’s interest in digital da’wah. Other factors, such as personal motivation, social support, and digital literacy, are believed to play a greater role and should therefore be investigated further

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has transformed media consumption patterns among university students. The emergence of digital media and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technologies has contributed to a decline in students' interest in campus radio, highlighting the need for more innovative program production strategies to maintain its role as an information medium. This study aims to analyze the production strategies of talk show programs at the campus radio station of the Yasni Bungo Institute of Islamic Studies (IAI Yasni Bungo) as a source of information for university students. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The participants included campus radio managers, broadcasters, and university students selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while the trustworthiness of the findings was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings indicate that the production strategy for talk show programs has been implemented through three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the planning stage, the radio management designed programs tailored to students' needs and gradually promoted them through social media using creative approaches aligned with current digital trends. Nevertheless, students' interest in campus radio remains relatively low, as most prefer obtaining information through digital media and AI-based applications, which are perceived as faster, more practical, and more accessible. These conditions present significant challenges for the IAI Yasni Bungo Campus Radio in improving program quality, strengthening digital promotion, and developing broadcasting innovations through the integration of podcasts, social media, and streaming services. The study concludes that the success of talk show program production strategies depends not only on the quality of broadcast content but also on the ability of radio managers to understand changing audience behavior and effectively utilize digital technology to support the production process, thereby ensuring that campus radio remains relevant as an information medium within higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the system requirements for developing a 360° Virtual Tour as a campus information medium for Nurul Fikri Integrated Technology College (STTNF) using the PIECES model, comprising Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service dimensions. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving 15 informants consisting of prospective students, active students, and New Student Admission Team representatives. Data were analyzed through transcription, coding, categorization, technique triangulation, mapping into the PIECES dimensions, and requirements formulation. The credibility of the findings was strengthened through member checking. The findings reveal that existing campus information media at STTNF remain static and non-interactive, limiting users from obtaining a comprehensive overview of the campus environment. Based on the PIECES analysis, 23 functional requirements and 22 non-functional requirements were formulated, with information completeness, navigation support, and system performance emerging as the primary user priorities. An initial use case diagram was developed to translate the validated requirements into a preliminary system model. This study contributes a validated and user-centered requirements specification for campus-based 360° Virtual Tour development using the PIECES model, distinguishing itself from prior studies that focused predominantly on implementation and usability evaluation by emphasizing requirements elicitation prior to system development in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize Posyandu data management through a Web-Based Information System (WBIS) integrated with the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle to improve the efficiency and sustainability of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services. A qualitative descriptive approach combined with a Research and Development (R&D) method was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The system was developed using a client–server architecture with a relational database and evaluated through functional testing and user acceptance testing. The results indicate that the prototype effectively integrates digital registration, health record management, and automated reporting. The PDCA integration supports continuous improvement in planning, data recording, evaluation, and intervention processes. User testing demonstrates that the system is user-friendly, reduces data entry errors, and accelerates reporting compared to manual procedures. Although limited to Posyandu in Nagari Pagaruyung, the study provides practical implications by reducing administrative workload for health volunteers and strengthening data-driven decision-making. The novelty lies in embedding the PDCA cycle into a web-based Posyandu Information System as a socio-technical model for continuous improvement in community health data governance.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has driven educational institutions to improve the quality of their information services. MTs Sambong Jaya faces challenges in delivering academic information due to its inactive website, resulting in limited accessibility for students and the community. This study aims to develop a madrasah profile website integrated with a rule-based chatbot to enhance the effectiveness of academic information services. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method based on the Borg and Gall model, including needs analysis, planning, development, validation, testing, and evaluation stages. The chatbot was designed using predefined question–answer patterns to provide automated responses to user inquiries. The evaluation results show that expert validation achieved a score of 90% (Very Feasible), Blackbox Testing indicated a 100% success rate for all system functions, and user responses reached 81.71% (Very Good). These findings indicate that the developed system is functional, user-friendly, and capable of improving access to academic information.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in the economy; however, they still face various challenges in adopting digital technology. This study aims to examine the requirements of an information system to support the digitalization of MSMEs using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model. The research focuses on the analysis and design stages, which include identifying user requirements, analyzing business processes, and designing the system using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The results indicate that the proposed system should be capable of supporting integrated product management, transactions, ordering processes, and sales reporting, involving key actors such as buyers, sellers, and administrators. This study produces a system requirements model that can serve as a foundation for developing digital applications for MSMEs, thereby improving operational efficiency and enhancing business competitiveness.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to create board game media for information services that will help students at Al Hijrah IT Junior High School in Medan comprehend the risks associated with bullying. The ADDIE development model, which comprises the phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, is used in this study together with the Research and Development (RND) approach. A sample of twenty-five pupils from SMP IT Al Hijrah Medan's seventh-grade student body served as the study's subject. Observation, interviews, and expert validation questionnaires were employed as data gathering methods. The analysis's findings indicated that the information service media used in schools was still basic, necessitating the usage of more engaging and entertaining media. According to the study's findings, the Board Game game media received 90% media expert validation and 93% material expert validation results with a highly valid category. Additionally, the student reaction was 85% with the category of extremely possible and the teacher's response was 87%. When information services on stopping bullying are implemented, the media created is thot to be able to boost student interest, activity, and engagement. Therefore, it is said that the board game media is very appropriate for usage as an information service medium to provide students at Al Hijrah IT Junior High School Medan an awareness of how to combat bullying.

Abstract

The adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) has been widely promoted as a mechanism to enhance transparency, comparability, and the overall quality of financial information in capital markets. This study examines the dual impact of IFRS adoption on information asymmetry and the value relevance of financial statements across publicly listed companies in emerging and transition economies. Employing a panel data regression approach combined with the Difference-in-Differences (DiD) method and the Ohlson price model, the study analyzes financial data covering pre- and post-adoption periods. The results demonstrate that IFRS adoption significantly reduces information asymmetry, as evidenced by a marked decline in bid-ask spreads following mandatory adoption. Furthermore, the value relevance of book value per share and earnings per share increased substantially in the post-IFRS period, indicating that financial statements prepared under IFRS provide more decision-useful information to investors. These findings contribute to the growing body of evidence on the economic consequences of global accounting harmonization and offer practical implications for regulators, policymakers, and market participants in countries still deliberating IFRS implementation.
