Abstract

This study investigates the effect of information technology on product innovation and business sustainability, with blue marketing strategy serving as a mediating variable among processed fish product SMEs in Bengkalis Regency, Indonesia. This research addresses the limited empirical evidence on sustainability-oriented marketing as a strategic mechanism linking digital transformation to long-term business performance in coastal-based SMEs. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with data collected from 311 processed fish SMEs through structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that information technology has a strong and significant positive effect on product innovation and business sustainability. Information technology also significantly enhances the adoption of blue marketing strategies. Furthermore, blue marketing strategy positively influences product innovation and business sustainability and partially mediates the relationship between information technology and both outcome variables. The structural model demonstrates substantial explanatory power, with R² values of 0.549 for product innovation, 0.481 for business sustainability, and 0.412 for blue marketing strategy. All constructs satisfy reliability and convergent validity criteria, and no multicollinearity issues are detected. Theoretically, this study extends the digital innovation and sustainability literature by positioning blue marketing as a strategic mediator in SME development. Practically, the findings provide policy-relevant insights for SMEs and local governments in promoting technology-driven and environmentally sustainable business strategies within the fisheries sector.

Abstract

This research aimed to empirically examine the influence of the amount of assistance funds, regulations, and political party size on compliance with Internet-based financial information disclosure (Internet Financial Reporting [IFR]) among national political parties in Indonesia, as well as to test the moderating role of political party size. This study employed a quantitative causal-associative design using Binary Logistic Regression on 45 panel observations from nine national political parties during the 2020–2024 period, selected through purposive sampling. Data were obtained from BPK audit reports, KPU decisions, and official party websites, and analyzed using EViews 9. The results showed that the amount of assistance funds had a positive and significant effect on IFR disclosure compliance, with a coefficient of +30.5824 and a p-value of 0.0369, while regulations did not have a significant effect, with a coefficient of +0.1600 and a p-value of 0.8157. Political party size had a positive and significant effect on IFR disclosure compliance, with a coefficient of +146.3055 and a p-value of 0.0436. Furthermore, political party size moderated the relationship between assistance funds and IFR disclosure compliance, with a negative moderating effect indicated by a coefficient of −6.3926 and a p-value of 0.0406. The model produced a McFadden R-squared value of 0.1793 and a prediction accuracy rate of 64.44%. These findings indicate that IFR compliance is influenced by stewardship responsibilities and public visibility pressures, whereas formal regulations alone are insufficient to encourage substantive behavioral changes. The negative moderating effect suggests the presence of diminishing returns and potential bureaucratic inertia within larger political parties.

Abstract

The community service program aims to optimize the use of information technology by developing and implementing a web-based sales management system for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The program addresses the primary challenge partners face: the continued use of manual, unstructured record-keeping methods, which often make it difficult to manage transactions, monitor inventory, prepare sales reports, and make business decisions based on accurate data. The implementation method consisted of several stages, including an initial survey, needs analysis, system design and development, user training, mentoring, system implementation, and evaluation. The web-based system was designed to simplify daily business operations by integrating sales transactions, inventory management, customer data, and financial reporting into a single platform. Training and mentoring activities were conducted to ensure that MSME actors could operate the system effectively and independently. The results demonstrated that the developed system significantly improved operational efficiency, reduced recording errors, enhanced data accuracy, and simplified the preparation of sales reports. Furthermore, participants showed increased digital literacy and greater confidence in adopting information technology to support business activities. Overall, this program provides an effective technological solution that promotes sustainable digital transformation and improves the competitiveness and productivity of MSMEs in the digital era.

Abstract

This study integrates population and socio-economic data into key development indicators, including the Human Development Index (HDI) and its components (income, education, and health), along with population density, poverty, illiteracy, school enrollment, and health service coverage. The objective is to construct a spatial database and assess regional development disparities across Iraqi governorates. A mixed spatial–statistical approach was applied. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS, including descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, multiple linear regression, and cluster analysis to examine relationships among variables and classify governorates into homogeneous development groups. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using ArcGIS 10.8 were employed to build a spatial database, integrate socio-economic data with administrative boundary maps, and produce thematic maps for spatial visualization of development patterns and disparities. The results reveal significant spatial inequalities in Iraq. Northern governorates show higher levels of development, with HDI reaching 0.73 in Erbil, while central and southern governorates record lower values, down to 0.58 in Muthanna. Strong negative correlations were found between HDI and both poverty and illiteracy, while positive relationships were observed with education and health indicators. The study concludes that integrating GIS with statistical analysis enhances the identification of development gaps and provides a robust evidence base for sustainable spatial planning and policy formulation.Received: 2025-11-02 Revised: 2026-06-12 Accepted: 2026-07-28 Published: 2026-08-05

Abstract

Advancements in information technology have encouraged business operators, including micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), to leverage information systems to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction. Warkop Abas, a culinary business in East Jakarta, utilizes an information system to support its operations; however, the quality of this system has never been systematically evaluated. This study aims to analyze the information system's quality based on the six PIECES dimensions (Performance, Information, Economics, Control, Efficiency, and Service) and their impact on customer satisfaction, both simultaneously and partially, while identifying the most dominant dimension. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a survey of 1,000 Warkop Abas customers; data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics through validity, reliability, and multiple linear regression tests. The results indicate that all statement items were valid and all variables were reliable (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.70). Simultaneously, the six PIECES dimensions significantly influenced customer satisfaction (F = 1069.263; p = 0.000), with an R-square value of 0.866. Individually, the Performance, Information, Economics, Control, and Efficiency dimensions showed a significant impact, whereas the Service dimension did not. The Efficiency dimension emerged as the most dominant factor (Beta = 0.272) influencing customer satisfaction at Warkop Abas.
