Abstract

Introduction: Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) support integrated clinical documentation, hospital operations, and health insurance claim processing. However, effective implementation depends not only on technological infrastructure but also on human factors, including user competence, discipline, collaboration, and acceptance. This study explored human factors associated with HMIS implementation and Social Security Agency of Health Insurance claim processing at Dr. H. L.M. Baharuddin M.Kes Regional General Hospital, Muna Regency, Indonesia. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach based on the philosophy of postpositivism with reference to the HOT-Fit model. Data source sampling was carried out purposively and by snowball sampling. Data collection techniques used triangulation; data analysis was inductive. Informants in this study were 4 informants consisting of 1 key informant and 3 regular informants. Data processing was carried out using the NVivo V15 application. Result: The findings identified several human-related factors affecting HMIS implementation, including user competence, training needs, work experience, knowledge, problem-solving capacity, discipline, collaboration, commitment, and system acceptance. Among these factors, discipline in completing electronic medical records emerged as a prominent barrier to timely social security agency claim processing. Conclusion: Human factors play an important role in effective HMIS implementation and social security agency claim processing. Strengthening user competence, documentation discipline, continuous training, supervision, and organizational support may improve HMIS utilization and facilitate more timely and complete claim processing.

Abstract

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination is a highly effective primary prevention measure, with over 90% efficacy in preventing cervical cancer. This cross-sectional study examines the relationship between parental health literacy and willingness to accept school-based HPV vaccination in Depok City, Indonesia. Data were collected via an online self-administered questionnaire completed by 208 parents. Despite a high overall willingness rate (88.9%), significant gaps remain between general vaccine awareness and detailed operational knowledge regarding dosage and timing. Using a cross-sectional design and multivariable logistic regression, the research identifies that insufficient information exposure is the primary barrier to vaccine acceptance (AOR: 0.06; 95%CI: 0.02 – 0.22). Notably, digital health literacy, specifically proficient online information-searching skills, emerged as a critical enabler of vaccination intent. Conversely, lower skills in self-generated digital content were associated with higher willingness, suggesting a correlation between passive digital engagement and program acceptance. These findings indicate that the success of the School Children’s Immunization Month (BIAS) depends on transitioning from one-way administrative announcements to interactive, literacy-based communication strategies. Strengthening parental digital competencies and fostering structured school-based dialogues are essential to bridging the knowledge-action gap. Future research should employ longitudinal designs to evaluate the long-term impact of digital literacy interventions on actual vaccine uptake across diverse Indonesian contexts.

Abstract

Bantuan Langsung Tunai Dana Desa (BLT-DD) administration requires accurate beneficiary records, structured verification, and accessible information for residents and village officials. In the case examined, existing procedures relied on manual data recording, resulting in slow verification, potential duplication of resident records, time-consuming report preparation, and limited mechanisms for residents to monitor application status. This study develops a mobile web-based information system to integrate these administrative processes within a single platform. A Waterfall development model was applied through requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. System requirements were identified through a structured interview with the village secretary and direct observation. Unified Modeling Language (UML) was used to model the system through use case, activity, sequence, and class diagrams, while the application was implemented using PHP, HTML, and MySQL. The resulting system supports resident registration and authentication, BLT-DD information access, online cash-transfer applications, supporting-document submission, application verification, beneficiary management, distribution information, reporting, and application-status checking. The implementation establishes an integrated workflow linking resident submission, administrative verification, beneficiary records, distribution information, and status communication within a mobile-accessible web environment. However, the available evidence does not include quantitative usability, security, performance, or complete scenario-level functional-testing results. Accordingly, the study demonstrates requirements-driven system integration rather than comprehensive system effectiveness. Future evaluation should incorporate validated usability measures, security assessment, performance testing, and fully documented functional-test outcomes to provide stronger evidence of system quality and operational reliability.

Abstract

The rapid spread of unverified information on social media challenges students' ability to distinguish facts from hoaxes. This community service program aimed to strengthen digital literacy and critical thinking among 27 Grade VII students at MTsN 5 Padang City. A participatory active-learning approach was implemented in one session through socialization, interactive training, group discussion, and simulations of real hoax cases. Data were collected using structured participatory observation covering cognitive, skill, and affective indicators; no standardized pre-test/post-test instrument was used. Field notes indicated improved recognition of hoax characteristics, more frequent critical questions about sources and publication dates, and greater caution before sharing unverified information. Informal feedback from the school community was positive. Because facilitators also acted as observers and the activity was limited to a single session, the findings should be interpreted as indicative short-term observations rather than measured or lasting change. Future programs should use standardized evaluation instruments and independent observers to quantify outcomes more robustly.

Abstract

Manual drug inventory management in community pharmacies is vulnerable to recording errors, stock imbalance, and expiration when priority control is not applied systematically. This study developed SiStok, a web-based drug inventory management system integrating VEN (Vital, Essential, Non-Essential) and ABC classifications into a nine-cell priority matrix. Requirements were identified through observation and unstructured interviews with the pharmacy owner and responsible pharmacist. Quantitative analysis used 12 months of stock-movement data (11 May 2025–11 May 2026); after data cleaning, 1,994 unique drug SKUs were analyzed. VEN categories were assigned by the responsible pharmacist, while ABC groups were calculated from consumption value using cumulative thresholds of 80%, 95%, and 100%. The system was implemented using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL under a waterfall model and verified through 12 black-box scenarios, all valid. Essential items dominated VEN (1,654; 82.95%) and represented IDR 1,535,214,692 (92.51%) of consumption value. Group A contained 350 items (17.55%) but accounted for IDR 1,327,287,230 (79.98%). The ABC-VEN matrix assigns AV, AE, AN, BV, and CV to Priority I; BE, BN, and CE to Priority II; and CN to Priority III. Further evaluation should assess user acceptance, usability, security, performance, reliability, and multi-site implementation.

Abstract

Elderly health services require longitudinal monitoring, yet paper-based records are slow to retrieve and make changes across visits difficult to review. This study designs and develops a web-based elderly health monitoring information system for a community health centre in Medan, Indonesia. The study uses a Research and Development approach. Functional requirements were elicited through semi-structured interviews, observation, and document review, then translated into system functions, data structures, and operational classification rules. Development followed the Waterfall model using Laravel, MySQL, and Chart.js, with Use Case and Class Diagrams for system modelling. The system records five examination parameters: blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, body weight, and blood glucose. Four parameters are classified automatically using explicit rule-based thresholds derived from clinical references, whereas body weight is displayed as a longitudinal trend without status classification. Black-box testing of 11 scenarios showed that all tested functions behaved according to specification, including boundary-value classification. The system integrates elderly records, condition labels, filtering, and trend visualisation for healthcare officers. It is positioned as an administrative monitoring and documentation aid rather than a clinical decision-support system. Usability, user acceptance, security, performance, and before-after service evaluation remain necessary before claims regarding operational effectiveness can be made.

Abstract

The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into accounting information systems (AIS) has fundamentally altered audit practice, offering new capabilities for enhancing audit quality and detecting fraud. This study presents a systematic literature review to synthesize empirical and conceptual evidence on how AI-driven AIS transformation influences audit quality and fraud detection. Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 58 peer-reviewed articles published between 2015 and 2025 were analyzed from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Thematic synthesis revealed three dominant AI technology clusters: machine learning, natural language processing, and robotic process automation. Findings indicate AI improves audit quality through continuous auditing, broader data coverage, reduced sampling risk, and enhanced professional skepticism support. For fraud detection, AI algorithms—especially ensemble classifiers and deep learning—achieve higher precision and recall than traditional rule-based red flags, although data quality and algorithmic bias remain constraints. The study proposes an integrative conceptual model linking AIS automation maturity to audit quality and fraud detection effectiveness. Practical implications for regulators, accounting educators, and audit firms in emerging economies such as Indonesia are discussed. Future research should focus on longitudinal designs, algorithmic transparency, and human-AI collaboration

Abstract

The Medicinal Plant Collection Garden of Universitas Pahlawan (UP) Botanical Garden manages approximately 60 species of medicinal plants as a means of conservation and education, yet its publication remains limited to physical banners and social media. The QR codes installed on-site also still direct visitors to the general Wikipedia platform, resulting in information that is less specific and whose scientific validity is difficult to verify. This study aims to design and build a Medicinal Plant Information System website as an independent and accurate information medium. The system was developed using the Prototype method to facilitate continuous interaction and feedback with users. The application was built using the Laravel 10 framework and a MySQL database, with three user roles: Visitor, Admin, and Person in Charge. Key features include a medicinal plant catalog, an activity photo gallery, news articles, public reviews, and a PDF report export module. Testing was conducted through Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The test results show that all feature functionalities ran successfully with a high level of user acceptance, indicating that this medicinal plant information system is feasible for implementation to optimize digital botanical literacy at the UP Botanical Garden.
