Abstract

Adolescent anemia remains a significant public health problem in Indonesia due to limited early detection systems and low integration of digital health data management. This study aims to design and evaluate YOUTHIRON, a mobile-based anemia screening information system that integrates digital hematology parameters and a rule-based decision-support mechanism. The research applies the Design Science Research (DSR) approach, comprising problem identification, artifact design, development, and evaluation. System evaluation was conducted using black-box testing, the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 30 adolescent respondents, and system performance testing. The results indicate that all functional modules achieved 100% validation, with a classification accuracy of 90% based on confusion matrix analysis, and a SUS score of 82.3 (SD = 4.5), categorized as excellent. The average system response time was 1.8 seconds. The findings demonstrate that YOUTHIRON improves screening efficiency by 66.7% and supports early detection and monitoring of adolescent anemia. However, this study is limited by a relatively small sample size and controlled testing conditions. This study contributes to the information systems field by providing a validated integration of mobile health architecture, rule-based clinical decision support, usability evaluation, and system performance measurement within a unified digital screening platform.

Abstract

This study proposed an information systems model to investigate the relationships among cloud-based accounting adoption, financial reporting compliance, and reporting quality in Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). A total of 320 records were collected and processed through data cleaning, coding, normalization, and indicator standardization before being operationalized into latent constructs based on expert-defined measures. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4.0 was employed in the analysis. The measurement model demonstrated adequate reliability and convergent validity, satisfying recommended thresholds for Cronbach's Alpha, Composite Reliability, and Average Variance Extracted, while the structural model showed acceptable explanatory power. The results reveal that compliance with standards positively influences financial reporting quality (β = 0.32). Cloud-based accounting adoption also significantly mediates and strengthens this relationship (β = 0.45). MSMEs combining regulatory compliance with cloud accounting achieved the highest reporting quality. These findings extend the information systems literature by demonstrating the enabling role of cloud accounting in transforming compliance into improved reporting outcomes, while offering practical implications for policymakers, MSME support agencies, and software developers seeking to enhance financial accountability and digital transformation.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven a major transformation in accounting practices, especially through the integration of blockchain technology and accounting information systems (AIS). This literature study aims to examine how the implementation of both technologies contributes to improving the financial efficiency of companies. Using a literature review method of articles published between 2018 and 2025, it was found that blockchain offers high transparency, reliability, and security of financial data, while AIS supports the acceleration of reporting and decision-making processes. The combination of the two has been proven to reduce transaction costs, accelerate internal audits, and improve reporting accuracy. Although its implementation still faces a number of challenges such as initial costs and technological readiness, the long-term benefits obtained make this integration a potential strategy to significantly improve financial efficiency. This study emphasizes the importance of managerial support and organizational readiness in adopting digital transformation as a whole.

Abstract

This study examines the determinants of profitability at PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk by analyzing the effects of social strata, lifestyle, mobile banking adoption, and information technology (IT) investment during the 2020–2025 period. A quantitative approach with a longitudinal time-series design was employed using secondary data obtained from annual reports, banking statistics, and relevant company publications. Profitability was measured using Return on Assets (ROA), while the data were analyzed using regression analysis with Stata. The results show that social strata, lifestyle, mobile banking adoption, and IT investment have positive effects on profitability. Among the variables examined, mobile banking adoption demonstrates the strongest influence, highlighting the importance of customer participation in digital banking services in supporting bank profitability. Social strata and lifestyle contribute through customers’ financial capacity and digital transaction behavior, while IT investment supports profitability through digital infrastructure and operational efficiency. The findings emphasize that profitability in conventional banking is increasingly associated with the interaction between customer characteristics, digital behavior, and technological capabilities. PT Bank Mandiri should therefore prioritize increasing active mobile banking usage while ensuring that IT investment and digital services remain aligned with customers’ needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) in enhancing the effectiveness of financial management for MSMEs. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was employed. The study utilized a literature review methodology, drawing on secondary data sources such as scientific journals, academic books, conference proceedings, and official documents obtained via online platforms. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of AIS plays a crucial role in improving MSME financial management effectiveness by facilitating structured transaction recording, enabling faster access to financial information, and supporting the management of cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory. The information generated can also serve as a basis for business evaluation and decision-making. However, implementation faces challenges, including limited accounting and technological competencies, reliance on manual recording habits, inconsistent record-keeping, constraints regarding costs and infrastructure, and the commingling of personal and business finances. Thus, the effectiveness of AIS depends not only on the technology used but also on user capabilities and consistent application. Strengthening competencies and providing guidance are essential to ensure the optimal and sustainable utilization of AIS.

Abstract

Complementary product recommendation plays an important role in E-commerce platforms by assisting users in discovering products that are likely to be purchased together. Many existing approaches treat this task primarily as a predictive modeling problem and directly apply machine learning models to transactional data. However, such approaches often overlook the underlying information structure of product relationships. This study formulates complementary recommendation as a relational information modeling problem in which transactional purchase data are transformed into structured product interactions. Products are first represented symbolically and mapped into numeric indices through vocabulary-based encoding functions. The encoded identifiers are then transformed into vector-space representations that capture semantic proximity between products and categories. Complementary prediction is performed by applying an interaction inference function to structured product-pair representations derived from these vectors. Experimental results using real-world E-commerce transaction data demonstrate stable learning convergence with a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.0106 and a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.0035, indicating that the model effectively captures complementary relationships. From an informatics perspective, this work highlights how recommendation tasks can be formulated as structured information transformation processes rather than solely predictive modeling tasks to support cross-selling and product bundling strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to test the hypothesis that information posted on social media plays an important role in influencing stock trading volume and trading frequency under bullish and bearish market conditions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. A multivariate regression analysis approach is employed involving one main variable and six control variables across 12 industry sectors. The data consists of primary data, namely buy postings and sell postings. Secondary data were used for the control variables represent corporate financial performance, and Trading volume and trading frequency, as dependent variables. The results show a significant effect of buy posting on trading volume and trading frequency in bullish market conditions, and a significant effect of sell posting on the two dependent variables in bearish market conditions. This study has implications that social media information is more important than fundamental per price factors in stock investment decisions. As a recommendation, investors must pay attention to information shared on social media platforms and participate in social media discussions. This research contributes to the literature in four fields, first providing the impact of social media information on stock values in separate market conditions, that never been done before. Second, trading frequency, as a proxy for stock values, is new in this research area. Third, the rare use of Telegram as a social media platform adds to the existing research. Fourth, this research provides proof from Indonesia or developing country.

Abstract

Information security is crucial for local government agencies, especially those managing the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) infrastructure. Many agencies still lack clear and documented information security governance. This issue is evident at the Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office (Diskominfo) X, where security operations remain reactive, and the KAMI Index rating is “Insufficient.”The study aims to perform a gap analysis and design recommendations for information security governance at Diskominfo X, based on ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards. It is a qualitative study using interviews, observations, and internal document reviews. Findings indicate that although Diskominfo has a regional legal basis and operational security practices, compliance with the standard is mostly “Not Yet Implemented.” Information security management is still informal and not integrated into an Information Security Management System (ISMS) framework. The study outputs include draft SOP documents, operational forms, work regulations, and responsibility distribution drafts. Recommendations urge the institution to formalize these documents, standardize technical activities, and conduct regular internal audits and security awareness training for all employees.
