Abstract

The Indonesian government has mandated using the Hospital Information System (HIS) since 2013. Until now, not all hospitals in Indonesia have implemented HIS, however. Some barriers have prevented them from applying HIS. This study explores the opportunities and barriers regarding implementing the Hospital Information System (HIS) in Indonesia through a public hospital case study. This study applied a qualitative approach. The approach used interviews to gather data using a pre-tested interview guideline. The guideline used several constructs to structure the questions, i.e., predisposing, enabling, reinforcing, barrier, and projected behavior. Participants were different types of HIS users in the studied hospital, i.e., physician, nurse, pharmacist, administrators, laboratory personnel, and Information Technology (IT) personnel. Data were transcribed verbatim and analyzed thematically. The interviews involved twenty-one participants. Nine themes describe HIS implementation challenges in this case study, i.e., familiarity, flexibility, empowerment, discipline, facilities, data sharing, quality assurance, pragmatism, and capacity building. Pragmatism could be a barrier, while the other values would be opportunities. These challenges are promising in guiding HIS implementation success. The values found in this study convince that HIS implementation in Indonesia is promising. Those challenges are required to be taken into account to  implement  HIS successfully.

Abstract

The Department of Environment, Hygiene, and Parks is an agency that takes care of cleanliness and landscaping in Kediri. The distribution of parks in the Kediri City area is data and managed using a manual system using Microsoft Excel to get results in reports. For this reason, the Department of Environment, Cleanliness, and Parks requires an application that can be used to help manage data on the distribution of parks in the Kediri City area. The required system can manage park distribution data, display a park distribution map, and display the scale of conditions. The Geographic Information System for the Distribution of Parks in the City of Kediri was designed and built to meet the needs of the relevant agencies. Users of this system consist of visitors, admins, and heads of services. The system is designed and implemented using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Mysql, and Laravel Framework, then integration with Google Maps API. The final result of this research is a Geographic Information System for the distribution of web-based parks in the City of Kediri using the Google map API as a provider of free maps that are integrated into the website. In addition, of course, it provides information about the distribution of the park and the scale of conditions.

Abstract

Currently, there is no information system that provides information on the location of geographically integrated midwifery practices in the Batam City sub-district. the application of GIS can be done to map the location of the practice of midwives so that it can be used to find out the location of the practice, hours of service and other necessary information. This research uses descriptive research method and the system development method uses the waterfall method and the design model uses UML. With a mapping management information system developed using web technology so that it can provide information to the public at large

Abstract

Advances in information technology demand adaptation in all aspects of life, including the tourism sector. The development of technology-based tourism must align with the increasingly massive use of social media, internet and the emergence of a cashless society. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence tourists' perceptions of the development of technology-based tourism and the determinants of tourists' decisions to revisit tourist destinations, with the OLS and Logistic Model. The regression analysis shows that the increasing use of social media, cashless habits, and the younger age are prefer to develop technology-based tourism. Tourists will revisit the destination if the tourist attraction and satisfaction level are more reliable.

Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 brings challenges for educators to improve learning. In the 21st century learning framework requires easy generations to have skills and knowledge in the field of technology. Especially during the current covid-19 pandemic,itrequirs generations to utilize Information Technology and Communication in the learning proces. This study aims to discuss issues realated to the use of Information and Communication Technology in improving education in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research methodology used is a qualitative research type through library research which is interpreted to produce information in the form of knowledge.The results of the discussion of this research show that Information and Communication Thechnology has a major influence in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Education issues a policy with distance learning (online) with the From Work Home System. Information and Communication Technology has several benefits including:(1) increasing student motivation;(2) Gaining insight from the horizon of thinking;(3) Fostering a spirit of togetherness;(4) Effektive and efficient digital portfolios;(5) Being a measuring tool used at school. The application in the online learning process are: Zoom application,google Hangouts application,whatsapp application,teacher room application,zenius learning application, and e-learning application.Learning media used to improve distance learning process (online) such as:internet,e-learning,e-mail,PowerPoint, and learning CDs. By utilizing learning media and application like this,it is easy for generations to have skills and abilities in terms of using and utilizing Information anf Communication Technology properly.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the lecture process was carried out online, so it impacted other academic activities such as the preparation of lecture schedules. The results of observations at the Faculty of Engineering and Science found that the practice of lecture schedules was carried out manually, such as the schedule coordination process was carried out face-to-face between study programs, faculties, and lecturers to overcome conflicts in the use of rooms and teaching time. Changes in the teaching schedule need to be re-checked on the use of the room and the lecturer's teaching time because it has not been documented with the information system. Hence, this study aims to build an information system for preparing lecture schedules using the Greedy Best First Search Method based on the willingness of lecturers to teach. The system was developed using the RAD (Rapid Application Development) and testing using BlackBox testing. The results of this study succeeded in building a lecture scheduling information system that was able to generate lecture schedules automatically and quickly without having to coordinate face-to-face to support online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aimed to understand the determinant factors of information technology (IT) strategic management to individual (lecturer) performance using data samples from selected higher education institutions in Indonesia. Since the use of IT innovation in (HEI) is often considered a lens representing the strength of strategy, competitiveness, and quality within a corporate view, it is vague on its impact on individual performance. The investigation included data collection based on an online survey conducted on 325 respondents to investigate the relationship between strategic factors, elaborated into several relevant criteria. The results of statistical data processing showed that of all the strategic factors involved, the business model and strategic alignment categorized in high determinations in influencing academicians' performance at HEI.

Abstract

Reliability of distribution networks is a factor that greatly affects customers as consumers of electricity. Analyzing and calculating the reliability of distribution networks are determined by the reliability index including SAIFI, SAIDI, CAIDI, and ASAI. On the other hand, smartphone technology is growing rapidly with a variety of applications to help simplify and accelerate human work in several fields of work. This paper delivers the design of an Android-phone-based analytic tool for distribution system reliability index measurement by developing it on Android application software. This application is named KALINDA, stands for Kalkulator Indeks Keandalan (Reliability Index Calculator), and created by using Android Studio IDE. We compare the data result between KALINDA calculations and manual calculations. The results obtained from the KALINDA application are declared to be valid accurate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial factors (Return on Assets, Current ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio) and non-financial factors (company age and percentage of stock offer) listed in the company’s prospectus against the level of Initial Return of shares. This type of research is quantitative research, the population in this study is a company that experienced a positive initial return on the first day on the secondary market that conducted an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2018 with a total of 150 issuers, while the sample amounted to 122 issuers using the sampling technique that is purposive sampling method. The analytical method used is multiple linear analysis methods using eviews9. The results of the study indicate that the independent variables namely ROA, CR, DER, AGE, and PPS affect the dependent variable initial return. Only the variable ROA and company age that affects the level of initial stock return. ROA has a significant negative effect on initial return, Company Age has a significant negative effect on initial return. While CR, DER, and Percentage of stock offerings do not affect the stock initial return. For further research, it is better to add other variables, namely market ratios and company size that have not been used in this study.
