Abstract

One of the critical challenges of business world is to manage change. This rapid rate of change has forced many companies to radically improve its business processes or better known as business process reengineering (BPR). Financial sector is one of the main drivers in economy in any nation and has been experiencing drastic change in its operations. This paper examines the effectiveness of business process reengineering (BPR) and the moderation role of information technology (IT) capability on the performance of Islamic bank in Malaysia. BPR dimensions namely change management, strategy alignment, management commitment, customer focus, IT investment, process redesign, adequate financial resource and less bureaucratic structure are investigated to observe their effects on the Islamic banks performance. The performance of Islamic bank is unique because it is based on three main quality aspects which include (1) educating individual, (2) public interest, and (3) establishing justice. However, in our case, the performance is measured by the cost spent by the banks to fulfill those three quality aspects. The direct relationship and moderation effects were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) structural equation modeling. Collectively, the results show the effect of BPR dimensions particularly change management and less bureaucratic sturucture on the performance of Islamic banks. The moderating effect of IT capability, however, is insignificant. The outcome of this study provides the important insights to both managers and researchers for further understanding of BPR factors particularly on the Islamic banks performance.

This paper discusses findings of study of design and development research with the goal of study was to develop the development of blended model of information literacy instruction (ILI) for higher education library instruction. Data were collected through a checklist, pretest, posttest, and attitude questionnaire throughout a series of formative evaluation stages. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result showed that the A6S (analyze, select, search, sort, synthesize, share, and self-evaluation) information model effective to enhance students IL. offered recommendation regarding implementation in library instructions

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the concept of developing a school database management information system. The model that will be used in this study is the spiral model. Each cycle includes 1) communication with users, 2) planning, 3) risk analysis, 4) prototype or engineering, 5) construction, and 6) system evaluation. The results of the study, the SIM database model of the school that was developed, still has shortcomings that must be corrected. Deficiencies at the concept development stage will be a reference for developers to improve. Suggestions from the validator were corrected and subsequently as a basis for designing the School Database SIM model at the system development stage. Conclusions, the concept of developing a school database system in the Department of Education and Culture of Musi Rawas Regency includes; a) developing a school database system for the Education Office admin (home menu, profile menu and submenus, report menu and submenu, admin menu and submenu, and logout menu), b) developing a school database system for school admin (home menu, menu and submenu profiles, menus and student submenus, educators and educational staff menus and submenus, facilities and infrastructure menus and submenus, curriculum menus and submenus, public relations menus and submenus, financial menus and submenus, report menus and submenus, and log out menus).

Thailand is considered one of the largest exporters and producers of foods and agricultural products, and play an important role in the economic development of Thailand. However, food industry produces a high income for the country. Its supply chain system still has some problems among different parties. There are lot of factors which effect the performance of food industry’s chain. Abstract

Scheduling is a planning activity to determine when and where each surgery as part of the work in total must be carried out on limited energy sources, and the allocation of energy resources at a certain time by taking into account the available resource capacity. In this research, utilizing the development of information technology, the most important is the application system for data processing or data collection that functions to produce the required information. Every company that wants to develop its business and achieve success, of course, the company must follow the information age by using computer applications that make it easy to process company data.  In this study, the author wants to provide a solution by designing an application for processing work service scheduling flow data based on the manual scheduling system that already exists at the Dwipa Photowork Company which is still less effective and efficient, and creates a database system used in a well-computerized scheduling application. between the database system, the user interface, and the user itself

Abstract

Slawi Wetan Village really needs an information system that supports and provides satisfactory services for its citizens. For this reason, the author tries to make a final project on service and population information systems in Slawi Wetan Village, which until now has not been computerized. The existing system in Slawi Wetan Village is still done manually, starting from the service for covering letters of ID cards, family cards, and transfer letters to those relating to population services, population data errors, and making reports. It is possible that during the process there is an error in recording, less accurate information exists. The best solution to solving problems at the Slawi Wetan sub-district office is a computerized system. An effective and efficient activity can be achieved in supporting activities in the kelurahan. In this information system, the method used is waterfall, and in its implementation it uses the PHP programming language and MySQL as the database. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded several things, namely: this software can be used to handle the population service process, information about the village, and knowing population data, this system can also provide print reports of village cover letters.
