Abstract

Information technology (IT) serves as a communication medium for agricultural extension workers to access information and demonstrate it in the field. This study aimed to analyze the utilization of IT by extension workers and the improvement of IT-based extension services in enhancing farmers' access to agricultural information. The research was conducted in Tadang Palie Village, Ulaweng District, Bone Regency, from August 2025 to February 2026. A quantitative descriptive method with a Likert scale approach was used. The population consisted of 15 farmer groups with a total of 375 farmers (25 farmers per group). A random sample of 30 farmers (2 per group) was selected. The assessment categories were: high (66.68–100%), moderate (33.34–66.67%), and low (0–33.33%). The results showed that Whatsapp was the most frequently used platform (97.78%), followed by YouTube (86.67%), TikTok (76.67%), and Facebook (73.33%). Meanwhile, Instagram usage was low (35.55%). The average improvement in IT-based extension services for accessing agricultural information reached 96.44% (high category). This indicates that IT utilization enhances extension activities in delivering agricultural information, both directly and through social media. Extension serves as non-formal education providing guidance, mentoring, problem-solving, and training, enabling farmers to expand their knowledge and develop their farming practices.

Abstract

This study examines the performance of Public Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID) in electoral information services at the Gorontalo City Election Commission following the 2024 simultaneous elections. The study responds to the need to ensure transparent, accessible, and responsive public information services in local electoral institutions, particularly after a high-intensity electoral period that increased public demand for accurate election-related information. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation study, and analyzed through four dimensions of public service performance: effectiveness, efficiency, service quality, and responsiveness. The findings show that PPID performance was generally adequate. In terms of effectiveness, services were supported by a front office, digital applications, and dashboards, and the information provided was largely relevant to applicants’ requests, although more structured explanations and presentation were still required. In terms of efficiency, the use of softcopy documents, free-of-charge services, WhatsApp, e-PPID, and task distribution helped reduce service costs and time, but the disposition flow and internal coordination needed strengthening. Service quality was supported by the “KPU Melayani” principle, service declarations, standard operating procedures, suggestion boxes, and community satisfaction surveys; however, improvements were needed in clarity, completeness, accuracy, and comprehensibility of information. Responsiveness was reflected in direct services, email, WhatsApp, inter-subdivision coordination, objection mechanisms, and public consultation forums, although follow-up speed and digital channel optimization remained limited. The study concludes that strengthening coordination, information structuring, and digital service management is essential to improve electoral information transparency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the management information system used to implement the use of E-banking at Islamic banks using digital technology in the form of gadgets or smartphones. Islamic economic growth has entered Indonesia's broad economic policy framework, so that sharia-based banking has become the driving force for the development of traditional banks. In carrying out its activities, Islamic banks utilize information technology to form and create systems in Islamic banking, namely a special application that can facilitate transaction procedures for customers so that Islamic banks can be said to be relatively good at applying technology.

Abstract

This article examines the phenomenon of information warfare in contemporary international relations, focusing on how state and non-state actors exploit digital technologies to influence public perceptions, destabilize democratic institutions, and achieve geopolitical objectives. Through a systematic literature review of leading publications from 2021 to 2024, the study identifies three principal dimensions of modern information warfare: disinformation and social media manipulation, cyber operations against critical infrastructure, and the use of artificial intelligence in cognitive and military decision-making domains. Findings indicate that technological advances, particularly deepfakes, OODA loop automation, and quantum computing, significantly expand the scope and effectiveness of information operations, while defensive mechanisms such as digital literacy and cyber diplomacy continue to face substantial implementation gaps.

Abstract

This study aims to critically analyze how political communication practices carried out by the General Election Commission (KPU), regional head candidates, and the mass media contribute to fulfilling the public's right to electoral information in the context of local democracy in Bali. Using a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study design, this study combines data from in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and digital content analysis to examine the relationship between transparency, political communication, and public participation in the 2024 Bali Regional Elections. The results show that the Bali KPU has made efforts to fulfill the principle of the right to information through the provision of digital channels, the publication of electoral data, and cooperation with local media. However, the communication patterns that have been established are still one-way and lack deliberation. Meanwhile, candidates' political communication strategies are dominated by image-based and symbolic politics approaches that emphasize image and emotional slogans over policy program substance, creating information asymmetry between candidates and voters. Local media and digital spaces also do not fully serve as vehicles for political education, but rather as arenas for electoral promotion. This study confirms the gap between formal and substantive transparency in local political communication practices. Therefore, the fulfillment of the public's right to electoral information needs to be realized through more educational, participatory, and interactive political communication. This study contributes to the development of academic discourse on information politics and public accountability and provides practical implications for strengthening transparent and integrity-based local democracy

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of government websites as media for stunting information and reporting that support cross-sector coordination, data transparency, and the acceleration of stunting reduction programs. The study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the SIBANGMAN Website as a stunting reporting information medium at the Regional Development Planning Agency of Jambi City based on the human, organization, technology, and fit aspects. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Informants were selected purposively and consisted of one key informant, three main informants, and six supporting informants from related regional agencies. Research instruments included interview guidelines, observation sheets, audio recorders, field notes, and documentation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing supported by source triangulation. The findings showed that the SIBANGMAN Website was quite effective in supporting stunting reporting through an integrated system, good information quality, and strong organizational support, although challenges remained in digital literacy, automatic notification features, and system interface design. The study concludes that SIBANGMAN has fulfilled its informative and coordinating functions in stunting reporting, yet further technical development and user capacity strengthening are still required to optimize its sustainability and effectiveness.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has increasingly become a source of health information for parents, yet its role in supporting preparedness for pediatric emergencies remains unclear. This study examined the relationships between dimensions of AI-assisted health information seeking and mothers’ preparedness for pediatric emergencies. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 385 mothers with children aged 0–12 years in Indonesia. Data were collected through an online questionnaire measuring AI-assisted health information seeking, including frequency of use, trust in AI, perceived usefulness, and information verification, as well as preparedness for pediatric emergencies. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. Information verification showed the strongest positive association with preparedness, whereas frequency of AI use demonstrated only a weak correlation.. Multiple linear regression revealed that information verification was the strongest predictor of preparedness (β = 0.41, p < 0.001), followed by perceived usefulness (β = 0.18, p < 0.001) and trust in AI (β = 0.12, p = 0.004). Frequency of AI use was not significantly associated with preparedness (p = 0.102). The model explained 38% of the variance in preparedness scores. Mothers’ preparedness for pediatric emergencies is influenced more by critical engagement with AI-generated information than by the frequency of AI use. Strengthening AI literacy and information verification skills may enhance the safe and effective use of AI in child health decision-making.
