Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze: 1) the influence of the distributive leadership style on the work ethic of teachers and education personnel at SMAN 10 Pangkep, (2) the influence of the consultative leadership style on the work ethic of teachers and education personnel at SMAN 10 Pangkep, (3) the influence of leadership styles distributive and consultative leadership on the work ethic of teachers and education personnel at SMAN 10 Pangkep. This type of research is quantitative research. This research was conducted at SMAN 10 Pangkep. The population in this study were teachers and education personnel with a total of 55 respondents. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression test. The results showed (1) distributive leadership style had a significant effect on the work ethic of teachers and education personnel at SMAN 10 Pangkep, (2) consultative leadership style had a significant effect on the work ethic of teachers and education personnel at SMAN 10 Pangkep, (3) distributive leadership and leadership. simultaneously have a significant effect on the work ethic of teachers and education personnel in SMA 10 Pangkep. The contribution of the influence of the distributive leadership and consultative leadership variables was 20.3% and the remaining 79.7% showed the influence of other variables that were not evaluated in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and explore the principal's management State Vocational High School 6 Padang on learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods, with the determination of selected participants (purposive sampling). Data collection is done through interviews, and field observation. We conducted data analysis using qualitative analysis methods. Results research shows that the leadership role of SMK Negeri 6 Padang in ensuring education is carried out through 3 main things, namely LMS development, LMS use training, and online teacher performance assessment. All of these leadership practices are forms of adaptive leadership that adapts to the conditions of the distance learning process that must be carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find and analyze how much the homeroom leadership style contributes to the effectiveness of classroom management at the SMP Negeri Bathin Solapan sub-district, Bengkalis, (2) to find and analyze how much organizational culture contributes to the effectiveness of classroom management in public junior high schools. Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis; (3) To find and analyze how big the contribution of homeroom leadership style and organizational culture to the effectiveness of classroom management at SMP Negeri Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis.The population in this study amounted to 110 people at 9 State Junior High Schools, the sample/respondent of the study was 87 homeroom teachers in State Junior High Schools in Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis Regency. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Processing of data for descriptive statistical analysis in this study using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 23 for Windows.The research results include; (1) Obtained a significant relationship and a positive contribution of the homeroom leadership style variable (X1) to the effectiveness of classroom management (Y) in public junior high schools in Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis Regency, (2) Obtained a significant relationship and positive contribution to the variable Organizational Culture (X2) on the Effectiveness of Class Management (Y) in Public Junior High Schools in Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis Regency, (3) There was a significant relationship and positive contribution of the homeroom leadership style variables (X1) and organizational culture (X2) together on Effectiveness of Class (Y) S Management in Public Junior High Schools in Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis Regency.

Abstract

Developing a quality culture in educational institutions can be achieved by developing educational innovation, extracurricular, cultural innovations, student personality traits, as well as academic and non-academic achievement development programs (School Engagement). The implementation of school quality development culture program encountered several obstacles including the lack of understanding of how to implement the 2013 curriculum. The application of the principles of transformational leadership and continuous mentoring to teachers in class assignments and responsibilities is a possible solution. The approach taken by the principal through the management approach is as follows: First, the planning phase which sets quality goals and communicates these goals to the school community. Second, the organizational stage by establishing an organizational structure, determining the main tasks and assigning or delegating tasks of authority. Third, the leadership phase consists of teacher training, assisting teachers and staff, observing teachers during learning, motivating, discussing results, focusing on quality goals, and following up. Fourth, the stage of monitoring and evaluating ongoing school programs. In addition, the results of this paper will describe the impact of transformational leadership on the development of innovation and work culture in leadership education. The writing of this article comes from scientific sources such as books and articles that have been checked for authenticity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the following. First, how much is the contribution of reading interest to the reading ability of Semester I students of STIFARM Padang. Second, how much is the contribution of vocabulary mastery to the reading comprehension ability of Semester I Students of STIFARM Padang. Third, how much is the contribution of reading interest and vocabulary mastery together to the reading comprehension ability of Semester I students of STIFARM Padang. This correlational study took the population of Semester I STIFARM Padang students. Sampling was carried out using the purposive sampling technique so that 53 students were obtained as samples. The research instrument is in the form of questionnaires and tests that have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of this study are three, (1) Reading interest gives a significant contribution of 33.9% to the ability to read comprehension because tcount > ttable or 5,110 > 1,684. (2) Vocabulary mastery gave a significant contribution of 35.3% to reading comprehension ability because tcount > ttable or 5.27 > 1,684. (3) Reading interest and vocabulary mastery together gave a significant contribution of 51.8% to reading comprehension ability because tcount > ttable or 26.87 > 3.18.

Abstract

Community participation in development in the village also determines the strength of an existing program, and determines the success of a program, including the establishment of village infrastructure. The Village Library is an important point that needs to be taken seriously in its establishment, use and even in its management. The entire process can be carried out by the community, one of which is library management. In its management, the village library requires the participation of the community. This community in question is the community leaders in the village. Parties from the village government took part in the establishment of the village library in Segati Village. In the management of the village library, the involvement of community leaders is impossible if it does not exist, which community leaders in this village are very accepting and have hope in the infrastructure of this village. With the strength of community leaders, there is a great hope in the management of this village library. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing and describing the participation of community leaders in the management of village libraries in Desa Segati Kecamatan Langgam Kabupaten Pelalawan. The method in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The object of the research is participation, community leaders, and village libraries and the research subjects are community leaders, totaling 4 (four) people. Participation in ideas and social participation which is given as a closeness of heart is the participation that is most often carried out by community leaders. This is because participation is a very easy, flexible and timeless form of participation. In addition, labor participation, skill participation is participation carried out by community leaders but still has limited time and opportunities due to differences in work and opportunities from each community leader in Desa Segati Kecamatan Langgam Kabupaten Pelalawan. Meanwhile, property participation has been carried out by several community leaders indirectly.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability to write procedure texts and Lack of student interest in writing procedure text. The purpose of this study is first, to describe the use of image media in the ability to write procedural texts for class XI students of SMA Ekasakti. Second, to describe the use of audiovisual media in writing procedural texts for class XI students of SMA Ekasakti. Third, describe the differences in the use of image media and audiovisual media in the ability to write procedural texts for class XI students of SMA Ekasakti Padang. This type of research is quantitative with a comparative method. The research data are in the form of test results for writing procedural texts. The population in the study were all students of class XI totaling 38 students. Sampling was carried out with a total sampling of 38 students consisting of two class XI IPA 20 students and class XI IPS 18 students. The research instrument was in the form of a procedural text writing ability test. The results showed that first, the use of image media in writing procedure text in class XI IPS SMA Ekasakti was in the medium category (40.7%) with an average value of 66.00. Second, the use of audiovisual media in class XI IPA SMA Ekasakti is in the high category (54.4%) with an average score of 79.00. Third, there is a difference between students writing procedure texts for class XI SMA Ekasakti students using audio-visual media (79.00) and picture media (66.00).

Abstract

This research is motivated by phenomena such as, There are several teachers in the field of study who do not explain the learning objectives, There are several teachers in the field of study when teaching do not use learning media or learning technology in schools. This study aims to analyze the contribution of two independent variables, namely the supervision of the principal and organizational culture, and the dependent variable is the pedagogic competence of teachers at SMPN Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. To obtain the data needed, the writer uses descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential analysis. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that 1) There is an effect of principal supervision on pedagogic competence in SMPN Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This is evidenced from the results of the t-test that is 3.351 while the t-table is 2.000, thus t-count > ttable (3,351>2,000). 2) There is an influence of organizational culture on the pedagogical competence of teachers at SMPN Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The results of the calculation of the t test on organizational culture are 3,432 while the t table is 2,000. t count > t table (3,432>2,000). 3) There is a joint influence of principal supervision and organizational culture on the pedagogic competence of teachers at SMPN Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This is evidenced by Fcount > Ftable or 27.775 > 2.76. The influence of the two variables of supervision and organizational culture on pedagogoic competence is 50.2% while the remaining 49.8% is not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variables (1) teacher work discipline on teacher commitment, (2) teacher loyalty to teacher commitment, (3) teacher work discipline and teacher work discipline and teacher loyalty together with teacher commitment. The research respondents were State Elementary School teachers in Tanjung Medan District, Rokan Hilir Regency, totaling 118 people with a sample of 91. The data was collected through questionnaires as a research instrument. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The instrument reliability coefficient was calculated using the Cronbach alpha formula. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect of teacher work discipline on teacher commitment of 0.470, and there was a positive and significant effect of teacher loyalty on teacher commitment of 0.555. Meanwhile, together there is an effect of teacher discipline and teacher loyalty on teacher commitment of 0.477.

Abstract

This study aims to manage online learning in increasing activities student learning during the covid-19 pandemic for the future, especially in the long term like what we are facing right now with Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) which doesn't exist yet stop. Through analyzing online learning activity questionnaires through the opinion of an educator or the teacher's point of view with the research sample being 45 teachers who teach at the State Vocational High School in the city of Padang. The instrument used is a questionnaire distributed online using the ms.form link. Based on the data obtained,shows that the implementation of online learning has been carried out effectively seen from the teacher learning model readiness activity. From the results obtained, the teacher's readiness in addressing online learning using a learning model, namely 50% of teachers stated very ready, 20% said they agreed, 10% said they were not ready, 15% said they were not ready and 5% stated when they were not ready to process online learning models, with good results found from the management of educator readiness in online learning in the future can anticipated to be more effective by looking at the deficiencies and obstacles found in the field through this research.
