Abstract

This study aims to describe 1) the ability to write in their own language; 2) The ability to make fragments that show a certain meaning of the material; 3) Ability to assemble material based on the sequence of processes; 4) the ability to write an idea clearly; 5) Ability to make material conclusions; 6) The ability to be able to find the main idea in the material; and (7) The ability to retell in their own language. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach, taking a sample of 40 people using an online questionnaire. The questionnaire has been declared valid and reliable through a trial on 15 students outside the study. Data processing using descriptive statistics. The results of this study found that the majority of students during lectures were outside the city of Pekanbaru, the device used was Android, the network used was data packets, while their internet network was always in moderate condition, but student learning achievement (GPA) was above average, so that it can allow students during lectures to understand the concept of material through online quizzes using google forms. It was found that almost all students could understand the concept of material through online quizzes using google forms, especially on the ability to write in their own language, and the ability to retell in their own language. This is possible because students' abilities are above average even though the internet network they use is weak.

Abstract

54 Anak Air. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Interaksi siswa yang berbeda budaya pada siswa kelas satu, dua dan tiga cenderung canggung dan tertutup. Sedangkan, interaksi pada tingkatan kelas lebih lanjut sangat akrab dan cenderung terbuka. Interaksi siswa dengan siswa yang berbeda budaya telah menunjukkan adanya penghargaan terhadap perbedaan budaya. Sehingga dalam interaksi telah terbinanya nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural yaitu nilai toleransi dan nilai kesetaraan. Interaksi guru dengan siswa yang berbeda budaya menunjukkan terbinanya nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural yaitu nilai toleransi, demokrasi, nilai kesetaraan dan nilai keadilan. Kegiatan yang diselenggarakan di SDN 54 Anak Air baik kegiatan dalam kelas maupun diluar kelas di SDN 54 Anak Air telah memuat nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural. Pemahaman guru-guru di SDN 54 Anak Air terhadap pendidikan multikultural secara teoritis masih kurang, Namun dalam tindakan dan memperlakukan siswa yang berbeda budaya telah memuat nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural.

Abstract

Reading materials for elementary school students need to be adapted to the level of cognitive development at the concrete operational level. One source of reading that is suitable and liked by students is comics. The purpose of this study is to theoretically examine the role of comics in learning in order to increase knowledge and attitudes towards environmental care. This type of research is library research. Literature research has a data collection method by taking data from various references, reading, taking notes, and processing research materials. The data collection technique in this study was to find data from various references related to research problems. The instrument used is a checklist for the classification of research materials. The results showed that educational comics could increase students' knowledge of disaster mitigation. This is because the non-fiction elements in the mitigation concept that are packaged in visuals and fictional storylines can make students enjoy reading. The concept of disaster mitigation in comics can also foster an environment care attitude.

Abstract

Female leadership in the college field still shows a small percentage compared to men. On the other hand, there is a leadership dilemma faced by women at the top, between being managerial leaders or academic leaders. This paper aims to describe the model of female leadership in college. This research is qualitative research with a normative approach. The results showed that women who entered the realm of leadership, in general, have a feminist and transformative leadership style. Feminist leadership is a particular characteristic inherent in female leaders, while transformative leadership is a solution to women's leadership dilemmas. Transformative leadership itself prioritizes the process of change and improvement in an organization.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the experience of the Educational Field Practice (PLK) on the readiness to become a teacher in the students of STKIP Pesisir Selatan.  This research is quantitative descriptive.  The population in this study was 31 students of STKIP Pesisir Selatan who had implemented PLK.  Data were collected through a questionnaire/questionnaire and analyzed using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (IBM SPSS Statistic 22) program.  The results showed that there was an influence between the experience of Educational Field Practice (PLK) on readiness to become a teacher, with a positive direction for students of STKIP Pesisir Selatan by 42.7%. The results of this study are expected to be used as reference material in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by PPKn learning and the civic disposition of students at SMA Negeri 1 Concong, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of PPKn learning in Shaping the the civic disposition of Students at SMA Negeri 1 Concong, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The benefits of the results of this study for all parties are being a source of learning, contributing ideas in the world of education, especially those relating to the influence of PPKn learning in Shaping the the civic disposition of students in schools. This research method is descriptive quantitative, the data collection instruments used in this research are observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires consisting of 16 statements. The population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri 1 Concong, Indragiri Hilir Regency, totaling 200 students. Sampling in this study used proportional random sampling technique. Then a simple random sampling technique was used with a sample of 50 students. Based on the results of research on the effect of PPKn learning in Shaping the the civic disposition of Students at SMA Negeri 1 Concong, Indragiri Hilir Regency, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between PPKn learning in Shaping the the civic disposition of Students at SMA Negeri 1 Concong, Indragiri Hilir Regency of 74%

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' interest in reading, describe the ability to identify the building blocks of students' poetry texts, and to describe the relationship between reading requests and the ability to identify elements of poetry texts for class VII SMP Negeri 40 Padang. In this study, there were 2 classes as the research sample for class VII.1 as many as 29 students and another class as a test class for class VII.2 questionnaires with 27 students. The sampling technique was carried out using the purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this research are questionnaires and objective tests. The results of this study are three things. First, the reading interest of class VII students of SMP Negeri 40 Padang obtained anaverage score of 74.24 in the range of 66-75% on a scale of 10, with more than adequate qualifications (LdC). Second, the ability to identify the elements of poetry building for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 40 Padang obtained an average score of 82,34  in the range of values of 75-85% on a scale of 10, with good qualifications (B). Third, there is a significant relationship between reading interest and the ability to identify elements of poetry building for students of VII SMP Negeri 40 Padang. This shows that reading interest affects students in identifying the building blocks of poetry. This can be seen from the test results which prove that tcount > from ttable, namely 5.40 > 1.70.

Abstract

The reality that occurs shows that students' mathematics learning achievement has not been in line with expectations. Students' mathematics learning outcomes based on test scores, there are still many students whose scores are below the specified KKM, which is 77. If you pay attention when learning takes place, it seems that many students are less interested in learning mathematics. Especially if the math class is at the last hour. This is one of the obstacles students are not motivated to learn mathematics. In addition, learning activities have not optimized student-centered learning models, so that the learning process feels less interesting so that students' understanding of mathematical concepts is still low. This study aims to determine the effect of the TTW strategy in improving learning outcomes in terms of understanding students' mathematical concepts. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental). The population in this study were students of class XI SMAN 1 Painan, class XI IIS 4 as the experimental class and class XI IIS 1 as the control class. The instrument used is a concept understanding test. The results of the hypothesis in this study are that students' understanding of mathematical concepts who take part in learning using the TTW type cooperative learning model is higher than students who use conventional learning. This means that the TTW type cooperative learning model has a good effect on students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

The product produced by this development research is a learning media in the form of a quartet card on Natural Resources material. This learning media product was created and designed with the aim that it can be applied as a teacher's tool in delivering material, literacy activities and as a source of independent learning by students. The purpose of this research is to produce a product for developing Kakli learning media (Quartet Literacy Cards) on Natural Resources material. This research is included in research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) because it is seen as a suitable design model for the development of learning media in the form of this Literacy Quartet Card. The data collection instrument used in the study was a questionnaire (questionnaire). In this research and development, researchers conducted quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results of the research conducted, it can be concluded as follows: The media of the natural resource material literacy quartet card is classified as very valid with a score of 83% for material validation, and for the validation of the natural resource material literacy quartet card media it is declared a valid category so that it has met validity criteria and can be used in schools, then categorized in the game media which is very feasible in the teacher response test and student response test with a score of 92% and 86.33%, which is above 81.25%

Abstract

This study describes the situation of the New Normal learning period. Anxiety in the community who wants face-to-face learning to be carried out again. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method, namely research that describes the actual conditions. This research is used to analyze events, phenomena, or social realities by including analysis and interpretation of the problems studied. This research is expected to be able to see how the implementation of learning during the new normal is carried out in accordance with the provisions that apply during the covid 19 period that hit the city of Padang. Data obtained from various sources, data collection techniques through instruments carried out by researchers, such as observation, interviews and documentation. Research subjects are informants, namely people who provide a description of the current situation, namely a social situation or social situation which consists of three elements, namely place (palce), actors (actors), and activities (activity) that interact synergistically. Then the analysis and conclusion, the location of this research in the city of Padang. This study sees that in the implementation of the new normal learning period after being online for a long time, it must follow the applicable rules and careful preparation in the midst of the covid 19 virus siege. Considering further that many parents of elementary school students want to return to regular learning face to face. Judging from the results of this study, learning in the new normal period is carried out well if there is cooperation between teachers, students and parents in studying at home. Full guidance for children, and the readiness of parents to take their time and continue to carry out health protocols as a condition for face-to-face learning to be reopened.
