Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the high order thinking skills of Students in SMPN 4 Pariaman. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects consisted of 6 grade VII.1 students consisting of 2 high-ability, 2 moderate and 2 low-level students based on the score of assignments and daily tests from the mathematics teacher. Data analysis was in the form of analysis of students' test abilities, analysis ability in aspects of knowledge according to Bloom Taxonomy and interview analysis. The data validity test was done by using triangulation technique. The results of the test research show that the Bloom Taxonomic percentage of the increase with the average Bloom Taxonomy level of C4, C5, and C6 is 87.21%, 70.27%, 57.91%, respectively. This is the ability students have in solving problems that require higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to know the effect of Quantum Learning disertai Speed Test toward result of students mathematic at the seven Grade of SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak. This research is pre-experimental study with research design randomized control group only design. The population in this research is the students of class VII SMPN 1 VII Koto Sungai Sariak. Sampling using random sampling technique with class VII7 as experiment class and VII6 as control class. The result of this research is the result of cognitive. Based on the final test, the mean score of experimental class was 74 and the control class was 67. The result of t- test tcalculate was 2.29 and ttable was 1.66 with and . Therefore tcalculate > ttable means H0 denied and H1 accepted. So, it was concluded that there is an influence of the Quantum Learning with Speed Test toward the result of students’ mathematic at the seven grade of SMPN 1 VII koto Sungai Sariak

Abstract

This study I am as to :1) descript the skills of producing explanatory text with PjBL assisted be audio visual media. 2) descript the skill to producing explanatory the text after the aplication of the PjBL model assisted by audio visual media. 3) analyzing the effect of the application of the PjBL model assisted by audio visual media on the skills of producing explanatory text. This type of research is a quantitative study using descriptive analytical methods with a pre test and posttest one group design.Population in this study were grade VIII students of SMPN 15 Padang registered in 2019, totaling 117 students. The sample of this study were studentsin grade VIII totalling 30 students and the sampling in this study wash using purposive sampling technique. Result and discussion : 1) the skill of producing explanatory text before applying the PjBL model assisted by audiovisual media is in the range of values of 51,57 with almost sufficient qualifications. 2) the skill of producing explanatory text after the application of the PjBL model assisted by audiovisual media is in the range of values 81,13 with good qualifications. 3) based on the result of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the skill of producing explanatory text for grade VIII students of SMP N 15 Padang before and after the application of the PjBL model assisted by audio visual media at a significant level of 0.95 with degrees of freedom n-1 (30-1=29)

Abstract

This study describes how to foster multicultural education values ​​at SDN 54 Anak Air. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Research data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data is done by triangulation of data sources. The research findings show that the interaction of students from different cultures in grades one, two and three tends to be awkward and closed. Meanwhile, the interaction at the further grade level is very intimate and tends to be open. The interaction of students with students from different cultures has shown an appreciation for cultural differences. So that in the interaction the values ​​of multicultural education have been built, namely the value of tolerance and the value of equality. The interaction of teachers with students of different cultures shows the development of the values ​​of multicultural education, namely the value of tolerance, democracy, the value of equality and the value of justice. Activities held at SDN 54 Anak Air both in-class and out-of-class activities at SDN 54 Anak Air have included the values ​​of multicultural education. The understanding of the teachers at SDN 54 Anak Air towards multicultural education is theoretically still lacking, however in their actions and treating students of different cultures it contains the values of multicultural education.

Abstract

The policy issued by the government regarding study from home during the COVID-19 pandemic has created new problems in learning in schools. Students assume that study from home is a holiday activity that they enjoy at home. This kind of learning also causes students to feel bored because every day they face very monotonous activities. This study aims to describe the problems of pedagogy with study from home (SFH) in learning English at SMP Negeri 1 Ranah Pesisir during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. As the subject of this research, four English teachers teach grades VII, VIII and IX at SMP Negeri 1 Ranah Pesisir. From the data analysis, the researchers obtained the results, namely, 1) the absence of online study from home learning training, so that teachers still lacked experience in improving online SFH learning activities. 3) Limited time with SFH online makes students unable to complete school assignments on time. 4) Lack of parental concern for students because parents are still pretentious with the online SFH learning system, they are not used to being involved in the learning process

Abstract

This study aims to find out language development through letter card recognition activities at TK Samudera Padang. The method used is descriptive with qualitative approach. Results research shows that the medium of letter cards used by teachers has not been fully qualified in the selection of language learning media. Implementation children's letter recognition language learning looks actively learning to recognize letters, letter card media provides convenience for children to recognize shapes and sounds letter. Success rate of alphabetic letter recognition learning with media letter cards on group B1 children at Samudera Padang. If presented were 73.4% of children familiar with alphabetic letters and 28.4% of children alphabetic letters.Based on the results of the research that has been presented, the researchers presented some suggestions, namely in developing early childhood language through the application of letter card media should teachers involve more children in question and answer activities, as well as bring the child to a certain place or object that can increase the child's knowledge and insight, improving the development of children's language through the application of letter card media should be adjusted to the level of child development and carried out in an integrated manner.

Abstract

This study aims to describe 1) the ability to write in their own language; 2) The ability to make fragments that show a certain meaning of the material; 3) Ability to assemble material based on the sequence of processes; 4) the ability to write an idea clearly; 5) Ability to make material conclusions; 6) The ability to be able to find the main idea in the material; and (7) The ability to retell in their own language. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach, taking a sample of 40 people using an online questionnaire. The questionnaire has been declared valid and reliable through a trial on 15 students outside the study. Data processing using descriptive statistics. The results of this study found that the majority of students during lectures were outside the city of Pekanbaru, the device used was Android, the network used was data packets, while their internet network was always in moderate condition, but student learning achievement (GPA) was above average, so that it can allow students during lectures to understand the concept of material through online quizzes using google forms. It was found that almost all students could understand the concept of material through online quizzes using google forms, especially on the ability to write in their own language, and the ability to retell in their own language. This is possible because students' abilities are above average even though the internet network they use is weak

Abstract

The difficulty of handling the corona virus has made many state leaders determine steps to stop its spread, even having to determine very difficult policies, one of the policies that greatly affects various aspects of life is the limitation of social interaction, this restriction will certainly affect especially in the field of education, because for the sake of stop the spread of this corona all students and lecturers study from home, a change in the way of teaching and learning from face-to-face or offline (outside the network) to online (in the network) requires the readiness of all elements, the purpose of this study is to find out how much effectiveness online learning is during the covid 19 pandemic for STKIP Ahlussunnah Bukittinggi students. This study uses a quantitative model with a survey method. Respondents from this study amounted to 126 students. The results of this study indicate that 89% of students want face-to-face learning, while only 9% of students want online learning, while 2% want online forever, it can be concluded that online learning is seen from the effectiveness, online learning has not been able to achieve learning objectives. The unpreparedness of students and lecturers, both in terms of the ability to use technology and the availability of adequate learning facilities, poor internet network connections at home, costs, and the inability of students and lecturers to adapt to new learning methods to be able to provide virtual conducive classroom conditions. factors that make online learning has not been effectively implemented.

Abstract

Reading materials for elementary school students need to be adapted to the level of cognitive development at the concrete operational level. One source of reading that is suitable and liked by students is comics. The purpose of this study is to theoretically examine the role of comics in learning in order to increase knowledge and attitudes towards environmental care. This type of research is library research. Literature research has a data collection method by taking data from various references, reading, taking notes, and processing research materials. The data collection technique in this study was to find data from various references related to research problems. The instrument used is a checklist for the classification of research materials. The results showed that educational comics could increase students' knowledge of disaster mitigation. This is because the non-fiction elements in the mitigation concept that are packaged in visuals and fictional storylines can make students enjoy reading. The concept of disaster mitigation in comics can also foster an environment care attitude.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic which was designated a national epidemic sothat it began in mid-March 2020 the face-to-face lecture process between lecturers and students canno longer be carried out normally as usual. To respond to this, the lecturers of PGMI IAINBatusangkar carry out online lecture activities. Based on these facts, this research was conductedwith the aim of describing the forms of classroom management carried out by lecturers in onlinelearning during the Covid-19 period at PGMI IAIN Batusangkar. The research method used in thisresearch is descriptive qualitative method. The results illustrate that there are several stages carriedout by researchers in managing online learning classes at PGMI IAIN Batusangkar, namely: 1) theplanning stage, 2) the implementation stage, and 3) the control stage
