Abstract

The evaluation of human development is typically done using the Human Development Index (HDI), which measures the level of development in terms of various essential aspects of quality of life. In the case of East Java, the HDI is categorized as high. However. the distribution of HDI among the Regencies/Cities in East Java is still uneven. Therefore, it becomes necessary to cluster the districts/cities based on their HDI and the achievement of each indicator contributing to the HDI. Clustering is a data analysis technique used to group similar data together. Hierarchical agglomerative clustering is one of the methods used for this purpose. The aim of this study is to provide a reference for the government to understand the distribution of characteristic groupings among the districts/cities based on their HDI profiles in East Java. The analysis of East Java's HDI data for 2021 revealed that the best method and cluster was obtained using Average Linkage, with a Cophenetic coefficient value of 0.8105891, resulting in two clusters. The cluster with the highest Silhouette coefficient value of 0.6196077 comprised 34 districts/cities, classified as the low cluster, while the high cluster consisted of four cities/regencies.

Abstract

Asahan Regency is one of the regencies located in North Sumatra. There are hotels and inns scattered at several points in Asahan Regency. Visitors from outside Asahan Regency and local residents still do not know the distribution points. It is still difficult to find out the closest route to hotels and inns. This will make visitors confused about the location of the hotel. So with that, a system is needed that can facilitate tourists and the government in Asahan Regency, especially the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office, to provide accurate information and promotional tools about the location of hotels and inns to help visitors find the right accommodation. That is by creating a Geographic Information System for Hotels and Lodging in Asahan Regency by utilizing the Google Maps API which displays information related to the location of hotels and inns as well as detailed hotel and inn information such as addresses, hotel prices and other information and also displays information about the Asahan Regency Youth, Sports and Tourism Office.

Abstract

Differences in social, economic, demographic and resource conditions in each region can cause inequality, so it is necessary to encourage economic development according to the capabilities of the region. The importance of looking at socio-economic indicators that are development targets, especially in Eastern Indonesia (KTI). This study uses two non-hierarchical methods, namely K-Means and K-Medoids. In this study, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was carried out to produce 3 factors. Determining the number of clusters using internal validity and stability shows that the K-Means method with a number of clusters of 2 produces the most optimal clusters. Cluster 1 consists of 152 regencies/municipalities, while cluster 2 consists of 80 regencies/municipalities. Cluster 1 has above average infrastructure and economic characteristics, while its human quality is still below average.

Abstract

The development of social media is currently progressing rapidly with various features and services that are distinctive and have selling value. With the existence of social media, access to information becomes faster and easier, available anytime and anywhere. Telegram is a social media platform widely used by users in Indonesia. PT XYZ is a company involved in rural internet infrastructure development, web, and apps development. The Mikrotik Router owned by PT XYZ has issues in monitoring its devices, such as sudden disconnection of connections and general router conditions that can have fatal consequences if not monitored in real-time, as it relates to customer satisfaction using PT XYZ's network. Since network admins or assigned personnel cannot continuously monitor from the NOC office computer due to working hours, employee leaves, or having schedules outside, they need a quick way to obtain real-time information about the Mikrotik router's condition. This study aims to design a monitoring system using a Telegram Chat Bot to receive monitoring results from The Dude for Mikrotik routers, which can provide information related to activities or issues that occur with the Mikrotik router. The final outcome of this study will facilitate the reception of information when there are connection problems and physical conditions of Mikrotik for PT XYZ technicians.

Abstract

Website is one of the necessities needed by organizations, including educational organizations. Telkom University Jakarta Campus (TUJC) is an educational organization that needs it. Analysis methods needed to be conducted to find what needed to be improved. WebQual is utilized to gain this insight. Web Quality Index and Importance Performance analysis are performed to calculate the results. The results of the Web Quality index show that users' perspective is 60% on average and got a negative gap analysis. Therefore, the website needs improvements to satisfy the user. Importance Performance Analysis is used to find the indicator that needs improvement. The Importance Performance Analysis shows that timely website information and security are the main priority for improvement.

Abstract

Online learning certainly requires an attendance system that is accessed anywhere with a minimum level of fraud. This research aimed to build an online attendance system using face recognition to prevent filling out online learning attendance represented by others. The online attendance system was built using the object-based system approach method. The system development method used was the waterfall. The development of this system utilizes the Django python framework, face recognition library, and OpenCV. This research delivered an attendance system that could not be represented by others. To record attendance, students visit the online attendance system. Students can only record attendance once according to the lecture schedule. The camera will capture the student’s face and equate it with the existing facial data. Only the registered student that his attendance data stored in the database. In addition, students cannot record attendance with face recognition outside of their lecture hours. This attendance system was tested using black-box testing. The test is carried out on the access button function to record attendance during the lecture schedules data and outside the lecture schedule, facial recognition function with valid and not valid facial data, function to store attendance data, and function to view attendance data recap in the current semester. The result showed that the attendance application with facial recognition is 100% running as it should and as expected.

Abstract

Currently, there are approximately 354 million active mobile phones in Indonesia, placing the country fourth globally in terms of the highest number of mobile phone users. E-Commerce, as a form of online transaction, enables the digital exchange of goods and services to meet daily needs. This research aims to implement sentiment analysis using the Naive Bayes classification algorithm as a method to gather user opinions. Thus, the study not only provides insights into customer satisfaction with Blibli.com but also serves as a basis for potential improvements in services or feature development to enhance the online shopping experience. Overall, the Naive Bayes algorithm successfully achieved an accuracy of around 84%, demonstrating its proficiency in categorizing sentiment in reviews. When focusing on negative data, the Naive Bayes algorithm exhibited a precision of approximately 79%, recall of around 95%, and an f1-score of about 86%, indicating its success in identifying and classifying negative reviews with high precision and sensitivity. On the positive side, the Naive Bayes algorithm achieved a precision of about 91%, recall of around 83%, and an f1-score of about 87%.

Abstract

The primary purpose of this paper is to investigate the level of IT decisions accuracy between female and male directors on board. The research uses qualitative studies by interviewing four directors (two females and two males) who are in charge of making IT investment decisions. Furthermore, the data analysis uses Leadership Theory, Decision Quality Theory and Analytic Hierarchical Process. Results show that gender plays a pivotal role in shaping board directors' conduct in an IT investment decision-making where male and female leaders have specific attributes that will contribute to a successful IT investment decision-making. Moreover, the results also can be used as a fundamental for enterprises to change their policy regarding gender equality in a workplace to create a more diverse working environment. This research becomes significant considering the number of females on IT and board remains limited for several years despite women emancipation being encouraged across many platforms.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the use of Power BI, which is one of the leading tools in the BI industry, in applying Business Intelligence in the context of product sales. Business Intelligence (BI) is a solution used to address the needs of companies with a focus on data analysis and access to support better decision making. The main goal is to help companies in the decision-making process through steps such as designing databases, Data Warehouse, and report generation. The result of this research is the analysis of reports showing product sales with the lowest contribution compared to other areas. Therefore, products that have the lowest contribution need special attention. One of the efforts that can be made is to carry out promotions and provide discounts to increase the number of orders from customers in a wider area.

Abstract

Looking for boarding houses has become something that is often questioned by students, especially new students who come from outside the area around the University. The very limited availability of information can cause difficulties for the community when searching for boarding houses. The purpose of this study was to produce a UI/UX design prototype for the Klaten Boarding House application which will display relevant and accurate information about the location of the boarding house, information on boarding facilities, costs and can place an order for the boarding house. The area that will be used as a research location is a boarding house around Widya Dharma Klaten University. In designing the UI/UX design, the Klaten Kos application prototype was made as attractive as possible by using Figma editing software. Data collection techniques carried out by the author are interviews, observation, and literature study. With this system, it is hoped that it will make it easier to find boarding houses according to your wishes and help boarding owners to promote boarding houses online.
