Abstract

ABSTRAK Sastra merupakan salah satu dari kebudayaan. Dalam suatu karya sastra terkandung bermacam-macam elemen dari suatu masyarakat. Melalui suatu karya sastra, kita dapat melihat tradisi suatu masyarakat,  norma, nilai,  kehidupan masyarakat, ideologi dan lain sebagainya. Dengan demikian bisa dikatakan bahwa karya sastra merupakan cermin dari suatu masyarakat. Dalam meneliti hubungan karya sastra dan masyarakat, kebanyakan menggunakan teori pendekatan umum.  Dewasa ini penelitian semacam ini masih jarang dilakukan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan menganalisis salah satu karya sastra Natsume Souseki yaitu novel yang berjudul “Kokoro”.   Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana kondisi masyarakat Jepang serta representasi masyarakat di zaman Meiji melalui tokoh dalam novel.  Metode pengumpulan data dilakaukan dengan cara membaca isi novel, mengumpulkan ungkapan-ungkapan yang berkaitan, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Laporan ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil analisis, melalui novel “kokoro” dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai-nilai masyarakat, kebiasaan, norma, ideologi telah terpengaruh oleh budaya barat. Tetapi ketiga tokoh dalam novel pengaruhnya berbeda berdasarkan representasinya masingmasing. Tokoh ayah yang tinggal di desa masih berpegang pada kebiasaan tradisional. Tokoh Sensei sebagai perwakilan dari orang yang berada pada kondisi percampuran tradisi tradisional dan budaya barat. Sedangkan tokoh narator sebagai perwakilan dari tokoh kaum muda yang tinggal di kota, dan meniru gaya hidup barat (Eropa).  Akhirnya sebagai penulis berharap semoga penelitian ini setidaknya dapat bermafaat bagi pendidikan bahasa Jepang.   Kata kunci : Representasi Masyarakat Jepang zaman Meiji, Kondisi Sosial.  要旨 文芸は文化の一つである。文芸制作の中にはある社会の色々なことが含 まれている。文芸制作を通して、社会の習慣や社会の価値観や基準や社会生活 や主義などを見ることができる。要するに文芸制作は社会の鏡だと言えるだろ う。文芸制作および社会の関係を研究するにはよく使用するのは一般的なアプ ローチの理論である。 3  現在、このような研究は未だあんまりになされていないようだ。そこで、 本研究は夏目漱石様の一つの文芸制作「こころ」という小説を分析する。本研 究は「こころ」の小説通して、人物を通して社会のリープリセンテジョンおよ び明治時代の社会状況はどのよう状況なのかを明らかにすることを目的とする。 本研究 ほんけんきゅう のデ でータ たの集 あつめる方法 ほうほう は「こころ」と言う小説の内容を読んでデータを集 あつめたり、次 つぎに社会学 しゃかいがく の文芸 ぶんげい ア あープロ ぷろ ーチ ちに基 もとづいて分析 ぶんせき する。最後 さいごに、レポ れぽ ート とを書 かく際 さいに記述的 きじゅつてき の理論 りろんに基 もとづいて書 かくことにする。 分析の際、以下の結果 けっかを見つけた。「こころ」と言う小説の話を通して、明 治維新のせいで、社会の価値観や社会の習慣や基準や主義はかなり西洋の文化 に影響を与えていたことが分かった。ところが「心」の小説の三人の人物は場 所によって人格が異なる。お父さんの人物は田舎に住んでいた代表さんとして はまだ伝統的な価値観を取っ手にする。先生の人物は明治時代における日本の 伝統的な習慣および西洋に混ぜている文化の代表さんだ。話し手の人物は町に 住んでいた若者で、西洋の性格を真似をしている代表さんだ。 最後は書き手としてこの研究の成果 せいかが日本語教育現場 にほんごきょういくげんばに多少 たしょう なりとも役 えきに立 たてばと思 おもっている。 キワード:明治時代の日本社会を表示する、社会的状況

Abstract

 ABSTRACT This research is entitled “Terms of Food and Beverage in English and Tontemboan Language (A Contrastive Analysis)”. The objectives of this research are to find out, classify, analyze and describe the kinds of food and beverage, the way food and beverage are made and the basic ingredients of food and beverage in English and Tontemboan Language and to find out the similarities and differences in both languages. This research uses a descriptive method. The data of food and beverage in English were collected from skripsi, book, and article, while in Tontemboan Language were collected from informants and also by taking picture of foods and beverages in some wedding party, sorrow ceremony, restaurant, and traditional market. The data that have been collected then analyzed by using Frisch in Hickerson’s and Foley’s theories and then the writer uses Lado’s theory to make a contastive analysis in finding out the similarities and differences of both language. The result shows that the kind of terms of food in English consist of two groups, those are solid foods and beverages. Solid food consist of meat, bread, fruits, vegetables, fish and sea food. Beverages/drinks consist of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink. Tontemboan language consist of three groups, those are solid foods, liquid foods, and beverages. Solid food consist of meat, bread, fruits, vegetables, fish and rice. Liquid foods consist of rice, vegetables, and fruits. Beverages/drinks consist of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink. English food and beverage based on the way food and beverage are made: baking, grilling, sauteing, boiling, steaming, blending and squeeze, while in Tontemboan language namely tare/panggang (grilling), tumis (sauteing), goreng (frying), kukus (steaming), bakar (smoking), and rebus (boiling). Food and beverage based on the basic ingredients are meat, fish, wheat, flour, fruits, vegetables, milk, coffee, and herbal plants, while in Tontemboan language are daging (meat), ikan (fish), sayur-sayuran (vegetables), buah-buahan (fruits), umbi-umbian (tubers) tepung (flour), beras (rice), kacang (nut), kopi (coffee), air nira (nira water) and daun (leaf). The kind of terms of food and beverage in English and Tontemboan language have the same categories, namely solid food and beverage. English and Tontemboan language have same way food and beverage are made, those are grilling, sauteing, steaming, and boilling. English and Tontemboan language have same basic ingredients, those are meat, fish, flour, fruits, vegetables, and coffee. The differences in categories Tontemboan has liquid foods, but in English has not. The kind of food in English has bread, but in Tontemboan Language has not. In the way of food and beverage are made, Tontemboan language has frying but in English has not. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research entitled ‘Prinsip-prinsip Kesopanan dalam Film The Help Karya Tate Taylor : Suatu Analisis Pragmatik’ focuses on maxim related to the politeness principles. The aims of this research is to identify, classify and analyze the politeness principles and their function in The Help  movie.This research used a descriptive method. The data collected from conversation among characters, then classify and analyze them according to the concept of Leech (1983). The result shows that there are six maxims of politeness and their function  applied by the characters in their dialogues. First, tact maxim consist  of 17 utterances functioning to minimizes cost to other and maximizes benefit to the other. Second, generosity maxim consist of 11 utterances functioning to minimizes benefit to self and maximizes cost to self. Third, approbation maxim consist of 21 utterances functioning to minimizes dispraise of other and maximizes praise of other. Fourth, modesty maxim consist of 9 utterances functioning to minimizes praise of self and maximizes dispraise of self. Fifth, agreement maxim consist of 10 utterances functioning to maximizes agreement between self and other and minimizes disagreement between self and other. Sixth, sympathy maxim consist of 9 utterances functioning to minimizes antipathy between self and other and maximizes sympathy between self and other. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is entitled “Metaphors in the Spiritual Album Hope by Hillsong Worship” is written to fulfill the requirement of accomplishing bachelor’s degree in English Department Faculty of Humanities Sam Ratulangi University. The focus of this research is Metaphor in the spiritual album. The problem of this research is focusing on what are the types of metaphor and meanings of metaphor contained in Hope album by Hillsong Worship. This study uses the theory of Leech (1984) and Lakoff & Johnson (1980). The results showed that found from 17 songs there were 47 lines containing metaphors, 34 lines of concretive metaphor, 8 lines of humanizing metaphor, 4 lines of synaesthetic metaphor and 1 line of animistic metaphor. While the metaphor meaning found in each song's lyrics has the same meaning that equates ideas using target and source. The target as the main subject or idea is emphasized and the source as an equated idea that makes two different metaphor meanings into one metaphor meaning. Keywords: Metaphor, Hope, Hillsong Worship, Semantic Analysis

Abstract

                                       ABSTRACTThis research entitled “Deiksis Dalam Film A Walk To Remember Karya Adam Shankman: Suatu Analisis Pragmatik”. The statements of problem of this research are: what are the types of deixis in film A Walk to Remember by Adam Shankman? and how is the use of deixis in film A Walk to Remember by Adam Shankman?. The objectives of this research are to identify and classify the types of deixis and to analyze the use of deixis in the film A Walk to Remember by Adam Shankman. This research used a descriptive method. The data of deixis collected from the sentence in conversation from the characters in the film and analyzed according to Levinson’s theory (1983).The result of this research shows that there are five types of deixis in the film A Walk to Remember, those are person deixis (first person: I, my, me, mine, we, our; second person: you, your, yours; third person: he, him, she , her), place deixis: here, there, inside, time deixis: today, tomorrow, 2 years ago, right now, tonight, 4 years, discourse deixis: this, that, these, social deixis: sir, reverend, son, father, child, husband, wife, citizen high, citizen low. Abstract

ABSTRAK Laporan akhir ini penulis membahas tentang “Analisis Makna Ojigi Dalam Film NobunagaConserto” yang digunakan orang Jepang pada zaman dahulu dilingkungan kerajaan. Ojigi sendiri memiliki pengertian, yaitu memberi hormat dengan membungkukkan badan (Nola Anelia, Nelson F. 2013). Teknik ojigi tersebut sangat efektif karena bisa terlihat jelas kedudukan serta jabatan dari masing-masing orang.Oleh sebab itu perumusan masalah yang diangkat penulis adalah jenis-jenis ojigi apa saja yang digunakan dalam film Nobunaga Conserto dan bagaimana makna ojigi yang terkandung dalam film Nobunaga Conserto. Adapun tujuan penulisan makalah ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis ojigi dan makna ojigi yang terkandung dalam film Nobunaga Concerto. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan penulis melalui beberapa cara antara lain : menonton berulang-ulang dan memahami isi film, studi pustaka lewat buku maupun jurnal ilmiah, serta mengopi adegan ojigi, mengelompokkan dan menganilisnya menggunakan analisis deskriptif.Hasil analisis yang ditemukan dalam film Nobunaga Conserto terdapat ojigi Ritsurei (posisi berdiri) antara lain ; ojigi 5 derajat, 15 derajat, 30 derajat, dan 45 derajat. Zarei (posisi duduk) ; ojigi 30 derajat, 45 derajat dan 90 derajat. Dalam penelitian ini penulis juga menemukan makna ojigi yang terkandung dalam film antara lain banyak nilai positif yang bisa diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Rasa saling menghormati satu sama lain begitu tinggi. Paham akan derajat dari masing-masing orang.Kata kunci: Ojigi, Nobunaga Coserto      要旨本討論日本の「信長コンセルト」という映画におけるお辞儀の意味分析である。特昔、日本の王国の環境におけるお辞儀である。お辞儀は毎日の生活で使わなければならないことである。日本の社会はお互いに尊敬すると言う規則があって、一つとしてはボディ-ラングアゲである。ボディーラングアゲ通して個人自身の立場、地位が理解できる。そこで本研究「信長コンセルト」と言う映画のお辞儀類どのようなお辞儀なのかと言うことを明らかにすることを目的とする。データを集める方法は「信長コンセルト」と言う映画を繰りかしみて、話の流れを理解して、研究の目的と関係がある表現、場面や話を取り出し、分お辞儀の種類に分けて、文析する。レポートを書く際に記述的な理論に基づいて書くことにする。分析結果としては二つのお辞儀の種類、それは「立礼」と「座例」である。立礼のお辞儀は四つお辞儀の種類つまり、5度ぐらいの腰の曲がれ、15度ぐらいの、30度の、45度のがある。それらの意味はポシチプナな価値観があって、例としてはお互いに尊敬する性格や自分自身の立場や地位が理解できると言うことである。はこの研究(けんきゅう)の成果(せいか)が日本語教育現場(にほんごきょういくげんば)に多少(たしょう)なりとも役立(やくた)てばと思(おも)っている。キーワード:お辞儀、信長コンセルト

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research which is entitled ‘Slang Words on Instagram’ is an attempt to identify the types,kinds and forms also to analyze the meanings of slang words on instagram. The theories used in this research are by Patridge and Bloomfield’s theories and the data will be taken from instagram. This research applies a descriptive method. Theoretically, this research will give a contribution to linguistic study especially on sociolinguistic field more specifically on slangs found in instagram and also provide with rich information about slang. Practically, this study can help students and readers in understanding the types, forms and meanings of slang words in instagram. The result shows that types and form of slang found in instagram are abbreviation, shortened forms, facetious misprounanciation, public house slang, society slang and the meanings found in instgaram used online dictionary. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study entitled “Euphemism in English and Tabaru Language: A Contrastive Analysis” is an can effort to identify, classify, describe and to contrast euphemism words or phrases that are used to substitute taboo words in English and Tabaru Language. The English data have been collected from English previous researches done by student of Faculty of Humanities, internet articles, and some books whereas the Tabaru Language data have been collected by giving interview to some informants, who are native speakers of Tabaru. After identifying, classifying and describing the data from both languages then they are contrasted by using concept of Lado about contrastive analysis. The main of contrastive analysis is for finding the differences from both of languages. The writer will be used Wardaugh (1986) and Fromkin (1997) theory to analyze the data from English and Tabaru language. The findings show that the differences of the types of Euphemism in both languages these are: English has no euphemism words or phrases to substitute taboo words related to kinship terms, Euphemism word or phrase related to crime, euphemism words or phrase related to job unemployment, and exile, Euphemism related to superstition while the Tabaru has these four things. The study is expected to help students in learning and identifying Euphemism in their own regional language._________________________Keywords: Euphemism, English and Tabaru Language, Contrastive Analysis.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research entitled is Analysis of Signs in The Crucifixion Film: A Semiotic Analysis. The objectives of this research are to identify, classify, and analyze the kinds and meaning of signs in The Crucifixion Film. In this research, the writer uses Pierce’s theory in the process to identifying, classifying and analyzing each scenes and meaning of signs in The Crucifixion Film. The method of this research is descriptive. In doing this research, the writer read some books and journals about signs. The data of signs were collected from every scene which contain sign in the film and analyzed according to Pierce’s theory. The result of this research shows that there are three kinds of signs in film, namely icons, index and symbols. Sign of icons found in 5 scenes namely man and woman, book, sister Adelina and Vaduva, book, and Agares. Sign of indexes found in 9 scenes namely cell iron, blood, costume black, light, insect, strangulation, blood, rain and blood. Sign of symbols are found in 5 scenes namely prayer candles, cross, prohibition, mask and cross. All of this signs contain different meanings. Icons of man and woman mean father Phil’s own, and woman: Nicole’s own. Icons of sister Adelina's and Vaduva’s means Sister Adelina and Vaduva itself. Icons of an exorcism book means a brown book and is a square shaped. Icons of Agares's demonic means a bald-headed demon, and a skull-like body. Icons of an exorcism book means a brown book, is square in shape. Index of the prisoner cell means confinement for the murder of Father Dimitru. Index of the blood means a reaction from within the body of Sister Adelina. Index of the black clothing means shows grief. Index of the flashlight means sing of darkness. Index of the insect means the existence of Agares' resentment towards Nicole. Index of the choking means the resentment of Satan Agares over Sister Vaduva's visit. Index of blood means the fall of Father Gabrielle from the roof of the Church. Index of the rain means mocking uses holy water. Index of blood means a violent impact experienced by Nicole and symbol of the prayer candle means light of Christ, symbol of the cross means life and evidence of strength, symbol of the prohibition means line cannot be passed and the entered, symbol of the mask means a costume for the celebration of the strigoi festival and symbol of the cross means life and evidence of strength. Keywords : Signs, The Crucifixion Film,  Semiotic Analysis

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenulisan ini mengambil topik tentang  Sejarah  Desa  Kotamenara Kecamatan Amurang  Timur  Kabupaten  Minahasa  Selatan  Tahun  1950-2016.  Dalam  penulisan  ini penulis  menggunakan  metode  sejarah  yang  terdiri  dari  empat  tahap, yaitu heuristik, kritik analisa, interprestasi, dan tahap terakhir ialah histiografi. Dalam penulisan ini penulis  juga  menggunakan ilmu sosial sebagai alat bantu untuk memungkinkan penalisaan  dan  pengintreprestasian  yang  lebih  tajam  untuk  menjawab apa  yang menjadi  masalah  dalam  suatu  penulisan.Desa Kotamenara adalah desa yang dibentuk oleh masyarakat penduduk desa Kanonang,  Mereka menemukan tanah yang ada di hutan untuk bercocok tanam, lalu mereka mendiami  dan  lama-kelamaan mereka membentuk  pemukiman. Kotamenara resmi  didirikan sebagai desa devinitif pada tahun 1985.Kata Kunci : Sejarah  Desa Kotamenara tahun 1950-2016.
