Hearing impairment students have limitation in obtaining information. Hearing impairment students needs a multimedia-based instructional to visualize a subject matter as a learning experience. The children with hearing impairments have the difficulty of receiving information from outside, so the students need an ineractive media for beginning reading to facilitate their understanding and tailore to their needs. This research and development used Lee & Owens (2004) method consists of assessment/analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validation score was 94% from media experts, 80% from material expert, and 80% from practitioners’ scores. While the field trial results were obtained 100% that reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum/KKM) with highly effective qualification. Based on these data, it has been shown that interactive multimedia was quite valid and very effective to be used in learning. Suggestions for further researchers are expected to develop the learning media on subsequent material competence.

The purpose of this research were to describe: (1) the study result of arithmetic addition operation for fourth grade student with mentally retarded in SDLB before playing the Snake and Ladder activity (2) the study result of arithmetic addition operation for fourth grade student with mentally retarded in SDLB after playing the Snake and Ladder activity (3) the effect of Snake and Ladder playing toward the result study of arithmetic addition for fourth grade student with mentally retarded SDLB. This research used SSR (Single Subject Research) with A-B-A design. Collecting the data was done by using assessment instrument, tests and observations. The result of this research showed that playing Snake and Ladder affected the study result of arithmetic addition operation for fourth-grade children with mentally retarded student in SDLB.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan (1) Hasil belajar penjumlahan siswa kelas 4 SDLB sebelum melakukan kegiatan bermain Ular Tangga (2) Hasil belajar penjumlahan siswa kelas 4 SDLB sesudah melakukan kegiatan bermain Ular Tangga (3) Pengaruh bermain Ular Tangga terhadap hasil belajar penjumlahan siswa kelas 4 SDLB. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian SSR (Single Subject Research) dengan desain A-B-A. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen assesmen, tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bermain ular tangga berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar penjumlahan siswa tunagrahita kelas 4 SDLB.

Birth of highly-paid generation can happen through a vocational education system that emphasizes on comprehensive vocational training in addition to ample knowledge, immense skills, globally acknowledged certificate and strong employability skills. Thus, this study is done to identify the level of employability of students with disability whom already went through the training process. This study is also done to determine the difference between the level of employability skills between the gender of students as well as their specialty in their respective areas. This descriptive and quantitative study includes 60 students of Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas Vokasional Indahpura who are in their final year of studying the Malaysian Skills Certificate. One set of questionnaire is adapted from the Employability Skills Model which is used as an instrument to analyze the statistics such as the frequency, mean score, standard deviation, T-Test and One-way ANOVA by using a computer programme known as Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The result shows that the employability skills of the student are on the medium level. There are no coexistence differences proven between the level of employability skills with the gender of the students as well as none with the areas that they are specialized in. It is hoped that the analysis of the sample that had been used in this study will be used as guidance to improve the implementation of employability skills as well as teaching and learning process in Vocational school.

Problems in this research are: 1) how science study result of the slow learner before using media animation; 2 ) how science study result of the slow learner after using media animation and 3 ) the influence of the use of the media animation toward science study result of the slow learner. The study design was a quasi-experiment with the form of time series design. The instrument was the test. The data analysis technique was resolved with the help of the formula test a mark (sign test ). Science study result before using media animation was 61,6 got from the end average result of the pre-test. Science study result after using media animation was 80,0 got from the end average result of the post-test. The data analysis using the sign test was resulted a conclusion that H0 was rejected and the Ha was accepted. It mean that there was the influence of the animation media toward science study result of the slow learner in the fifth grade of SD Brawijaya Smart School Malang.Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) bagaimana hasil belajar IPA siswa slow learner sebelum menggunakan media animasi; 2) bagaimana hasil belajar IPA siswa slow learner setelah menggunakan media animasi dan 3) adakah pengaruh penggunaan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa slow learner. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment dengan bentuk time series design. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes. Adapun teknik analisis data diselesaikan dengan bantuan rumus uji tanda (sign test). Hasil belajar IPA sebelum menggunakan media animasi sebesar 61,6 yang ditunjukkan dari ratarata hasil akhir pre tes. Sedangkan hasil belajar IPA setelah menggunakan media animasi sebesar 80,0 yang ditunjukkan dari rata-rata hasil akhir pos tes. Analisis data dengan menggunakan uji tanda menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya, ada pengaruh penggunaan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa slow learner kelas V di SD Brawijaya Smart School Malang.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of eggshell mosaic toward fine motor skills of children with intellectual and develompental disability. The data was collected with observation, and the analysis technique used analysis in condition and analysis between conditions. The conclusion of this research was eggshell mosaic gives effect toward the fine motor skills of the children, it was shown from fine motor skills of the children before eggshell mosaic treatment, during the treatment and after controlling, and the fine motor skills of the children was improved.

The process of teaching and learning that is active and can attract many students to learn. Especially those with learning difficulties who require special methods for helping their learning process to make it more interesting. Therefore, this study is more focused on teaching and learning courseware ‘Let’s Reading’ methods using reading method called syllables have features that can help students with learning disabilities to learn Malay Language. The respondents comprised of six students with learning disabilities moderate levels studying in a secondary school in Kuala Lumpur. A monitoring form adaptation course from Davis et al. (2007) and (Sidek et al., 2014) with some modifications has been used as an instrument to evaluate the study. The findings were analyzed using quatitative methods. In addition, the oral test is carried out before and after the use of the software is run. The study found software has been developed according to the development ASSURE model is able to attract pupils with learning disabilities to learn Malay Language. In addition, these children also showed improvements in reading.Proses pembelajaran dan pengajaran yang aktif dan pelbagai dapat menarik minat murid untuk belajar. Terutamanya murid bermasalah pembelajaran yang memerlukan kaedah khusus bagi membantu proses pembelajaran mereka agar lebih menarik. Oleh itu, kajian ini dijalankan yang lebih tertumpu kepada pengajaran dan pembelajaran menggunakan perisian kursus ‘Jom Bacalah’ yang menggunakan kaedah membaca menggunakan kaedah sebut suku kata yang mempunyai ciri-ciri yang dapat membantu murid bermasalah pembelajaran untuk belajar Bahasa Melayu. Responden kajian terdiri daripada enam murid bermasalah pembelajaran aras sederhana yang sedang belajar di sebuah sekolah menengah di Kuala Lumpur. Satu borang pemantauan kursus adaptasi daripada kajian Davis et al. (2007) dan Sidek et al. (2014) dengan sedikit pengubahsuaian telah digunakan sebagai instrumen bagi menilai kajian ini. Selain itu, ujian lisan dijalankan sebelum dan selepas penggunaan perisian dijalankan. Dapatan kajian dianalisis menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif. Hasil kajian mendapati perisian yang telah dibangunkan dengan berpandukan kepada pembangunan model ASSURE ini mampu menarik minat murid bermasalah pembelajaran untuk belajar Bahasa Melayu. Learning English for children with hearing impairment is not a simple thing. Children with hearing impairment have problems in terms of the language, poor of vocabulary. This research was aimed at developing a crossword puzzle game as a medium of learning English for 7th grade of hearing impairment children. This research used a model of research and development. The product of this development was a crossword puzzle game that is used as a medium of teaching and learning English grade VII of hearing impairment. The products tested to the media expert, material expert and students. The results of the trial showed that the crossword puzzle games in generally was feasible to be used in English learning. Revision was focused on clarity of instruction.Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk siswa tunarungu bukanlah suatu hal yang sederhana, dikarenakan keterbatasan kemampuan menyimak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan permainan teka-teki silang sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk kelas VII tunarungu. Berdasarkan uji coba produk terpadu kepada ahli media, ahli materi dan siswa, dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan teka-teki silang secara umum layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Revisi berfokus pada kejelasan instruksi.

The aims of the research is to study the level of satisfaction among the Special Education Teachers of Southeast Asia countries who attended the 4 weeks training on Co-curricular Activities for SEN Children that was conducted by SEAMEO Regional Center for Special Education (SEAMEO SEN). The aspects studied included the teachers’ satisfaction on the facilities and services provided by SEAMEO SEN, training content, training methods and the evaluation on the facilitators. The study involved 25 participants who are Special Education Teachers whom attended the 4 weeks training course. This is a survey to gain quantitative data using survey as the method of research. The data was analysed descriptively. Silver (1981) Model of Training and Maslow (1954) were used as the foundation to see the relations in the studied constructs. The findings of the research showed that the level of satisfaction of the participants towards services and facilities provided is at min = 4.48, satisfaction towards training content is min= 4.44, training method is min=4.31, quality of facilitator is min= 4.34. Overall, the findings indicated the level of satisfactory is high with overall min is = 4.40 and thus can be summarized that the Special Education Teachers are very satisfied with the training organized by SEAMEO SEN.Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji tahap kepuasan Guru Pendidikan Khas Asia Tenggara (GPKAT) terhadap program latihan Regular Course: Co-Curricular Activities for SEN Children yang dianjurkan oleh SEAMEO Regional Center for Special Education (SEAMEO SEN). Aspek yang diberi perhatian dalam kajian ini merangkumi tahap kepuasan GPKAT terhadap kemudahan dan perkhidmatan yang disediakan oleh SEAMEO SEN, isi kandungan latihan, kaedah latihan dan penilaian GPKAT terhadap kualiti fasilitator. Kajian ini melibatkan seramai 25 orang GPKAT yang menghadiri kursus 4 minggu di SEAMEO SEN. Ini adalah kajian tinjauan untuk mendapatkan data kuantitatif dengan menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian. Data telah dianalisis secara diskriptif. Model Latihan yang dipelopori oleh Silver (1981) telah dijadikan asas bagi mendasari kajian ini di samping Teori Hierarki Keperluan Maslow (1954) untuk melihat perkaitan dalam konstruk yang dikaji. Dapatan yang diperolehi daripada keempat-empat aspek yang dikaji adalah seperti berikut. Tahap kepuasan GPKAT terhadap aspek kemudahan dan perkhidmatan yang disediakan memperolehi nilai min=4.48 diikuti tahap kepuasan bagi isi kandungan latihan min=4.44, manakala 4.31 pula adalah min purata bagi kaedah latihan dan min bagi kualiti fasilitator adalah sebanyak 4.34. Secara keseluruhannya, dapatan ini menunjukkan tahap kepuasan GPKAT adalah tinggi dengan min purata adalah 4.40, maka dapat disimpulkan bahawa GPKAT sangat berpuas hati dengan program latihan yang telah dianjurkan oleh SEAMEO SEN.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um029v4i12017p007

Students with hearing impairment who don’t have experience in listening Qur’an have problem in pronouncing the letters of the Qur’an. So, the teacher find difficulties to determine the level of students understanding in reading the letters of Qur’an. The purposes of the research and development was to produce learning media based on multilevel interactive quiz for exercising Al-Qur’an letter reading for students with hearing impairment of grade X. The model in this study refers to Research and Development (R & D) of Borg and Gall. The results of the research was qualified product that can be used by student with hearing impairment. Further research should develop an interactive quiz with emphasis on the diversity of the population and research. Siswa tunarungu yang tidak memiliki pengalaman dalam mendengarkan bunyi ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an mengalami hambatan dalam mengucapkan huruf-huruf Al-Qur’an. Hal tersebut menyebabkan pengajar kesulitan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman siswa dalam membaca huruf Al-Qur’an. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis kuis interaktif bertingkat untuk latihan membaca huruf Al-Qur’an siswa tunarungu kelas X. Model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan Research and Development (R & D) dari Borg dan Gall. Hasil pengembangan adalah produk kuis interaktif bertingkat latihan membaca huruf Al-Qur’an yang telah layak menjadi media pembelajaran siswa tunarungu kelas X. Sebaiknya peneliti selanjutnya mengembangkan kuis interaktif dengan memperbanyak keragaman populasi dan keragaman penelitian.
