Abstract

Students with hearing impairments need an instructional video media which can make them easier in understanding a theory about sex education especially menstruation. The aim of this study was to make a product which was instructional video media entitled “Cakap Hadapi Menstruasi”. The development of the product was adapted. The validation score from media experts was 96% (worthy to use). The validation score from material experts was 97% (worthy to use). Moreover, the result of the implementation showed the average score of students’ pre-test was 42 and post-test was 91. It means that the product was effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was (1) Describing the applying of Picture and Picture Learning Method In Sains Teaching and Learning Process of the third Grade Mental Retardation Students in SDLB B-C Kepanjen, Malang Regency. (2) Describing the activities of the mild mental retardation students in SDLB B-C Kepanjen while they was applying picture and picture method in sains learning. (3) Describing the result of the mild mental retardation stundents in SDLB B-C Kepanjen after they was applying by picture and picture method.This research use class action research (CAR). The result of the pre-research was 54,29 with learning completeness 29%. In the first cycle was about 64,99 with the class learning completeness was 42,86%. While in the second cycle was about 74,29 with the learning completeness was 85,71%. The conclusion of the research was trough Applying Picture and Picture LearningPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran picture and picture pada mata pelajaran IPA siswa tunagrahita ringan SDLB B - C Kepanjen Kabupaten Malang, (2) mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa tunagrahita ringan kelas III SDLB B-C Kepanjen saat diterapkan model pembelajaran picture and picture pada pembelajaran IPA, (3) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar IPA siswa tunagrahita ringan kelas III SDLB B-C Kepanjen setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran picture and picture. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian pratindakan diperoleh rata-rata mencapai 54,29 dengan ketuntasan belajar kelas 29%, siklus I di peroleh hasil rata-rata mencapai 64,99 dengan ketuntasan belajar kelas 42,86%. Sedangkan pada siklus II diperoleh rata-rata kelas mencapai 74,29 dengan ketuntasan belajar kelas 85,71%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui model pembelajaran picture and picture hasil belajar IPA siswa tunagrahita ringan kelas III SDLB di SLB B-C Kepanjen dapat ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Hearing impairment students are unable to communicate verbally due to the stiffness of their speech organs so that their teacher and people around them could not understand their speaking frequently. The spoken word was often unclear so it was misunderstood frequently happened both in the school and house.This study employed Single Subject Research (SSR) with A-B research design After the data processing, mean at 55.2% of the subject “ZA” in baseline phase was obtained. Besides, the mean of intervention phase was 75.5% and the overlap value was 0%. Based on the finding, it could be concluded that the use of I-Chat affects the speaking ability of hearing impaired students of grade VII SMPLB YPTB Malang.

Abstract

This study consists of two cycles, they are: the using of the technique of imitating klompen model. Each cycle consists of four steps: (1) arranging action planning, (2) doing the action, (3) observing, (4) reflecting. Instruments used in the study are observation sheets and action test. Data analysis is done using the method of descriptive qualitative. The steps of the technique of imitating klompen model are: (1) students imitate the arabic letter model, (2) students classify the materials based on their colors, forms, textures, (3) students arrange the steps: presenting the materials from the smallest to the biggest, from the brightest color to the darkest.The result of the study is that on cycle 1, the students still confused when creating the dacem calligraphy using the technique of imitating klompen model.Their arrangement of pine leaves was not perfect yet. The calligraphy was not perfect, too. They still need to be developed.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan Teknik Meniru Model Klompen untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Kaligrafi Dacem pada Siswa Tunagrahita Kelas 5 SDLB“Putra Jaya” Kota Malang yang terdiri atas 2 siklus yaitu penggunaan teknik meniru model klompen. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu (1) menyusun rencana tindakan, (2) melaksanakan tindakan, (3) melakukan observasi, (4) melakukan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan test perbuatan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif.Langkah-langkah teknik meniru model klompen adalah (1) siswa meniru model tulisan huruf Arab, (2) Pengelompokan bahan-bahan, warna, bentuk, tekstur masing-masing dari bahan, (3) Pengurutan sesuai langkah-langkah yaitu menyajikan bahan-bahan dari yang terkecil sampai yang lebih besar, dari warna yang lebih terang sampai ke yang lebih gelap.Hasil penelitian pada siklus 1 aktifitas siswa masih mengalami kebingungan ketika membuat kaligrafi dacem dengan menggunakan teknik meniru model klompen, cara merangkai daun cemara masih belum sempurna, hasilnya kaligrafinya belum sempurna sehingga perlu ditingkatkan dan masih perlu pembenahan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the effect of train number game toward the summation arithmetic ability for student with intellectual disability of the second grade in SDLB Eka Mandiri Kota Batu. Data collecting from students was tests and observation. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics analysis of visual graphs on analysis in and intercondition. The results indicated that the train number game contributing in both increasing and effecting of 1-10 summation arithmetic ability for student with intellectual disability.

Abstract

A child with intellectual disability has problems in adaptive behavior such as eating skill. The research objective was to describe: 1) the ability of the child with intellectual disability before being given intervention using backward chaining method, 2) the ability of the child with intellectual disability after being given intervention using backward chaining method, and 3) the effectiveness of backward chaining method to increase the eating skills for child with intellectual disability. The method of this study was an experimental method by using the Single Subject Research (SSR) with the A-B-A design model. The results showed that the percentage of overlap between the baseline condition-1 and the intervention condition was 0%. The calculation declared that there was increase eating skill for child with intellectual disability with backward chaining.Anak disabilitas intelektual memiliki masalah dalam perilaku adaptif seperti pada keterampilan makan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) kemampuan anak disabilitas intelektual sebelum diberikan intervensi menggunakan backward chaining, 2) kemampuan anak disabilitas intelektual setelah diberikan intervensi menggunakan backward chaining, dan 3) keefektifan backward chaining untuk meningkatkan keterampilan makan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Single Subject Reseach (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perolehan presentase overlap antara kondisi baseline-1 ke kondisi intervensi sebesar 0%. Perhitungan tersebut menyatakan adanya pengaruh keefektifan backward chaining sebagai intervensi terhadap peningkatan keterampilan makan sebagai target behavior.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um029v4i12017p037

Abstract

With Limitation of thingking, certainly children with intellectual disability have some learning difficulties especially academic lessons. Children with intellectual disability have many characteristics, one of them is quickly bored and forget something easily. Dice game in this study refers to a game used by researchers in attempt to improve children with intellectual disability’s limited numeracy skill to calculate the dice that appears. In this study, researchers used quantitave approach with data test and documentation as data collecting thecnic. While study design in use was one group pretest-posttest design. It was concluded that the use of dice game media can improve numeracy skills.Dalam keterbatasan berfikir anak tunagrahita tentu mengalami kesulitan belajar terutama pelajaran akademik. Anak tunagrahita mempunyai karakteristik salah satunya adalah cepat bosan dan mudah lupa.Permainan dadu yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah permainan yang digunakan peneliti sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung saat anak tunagrahita yang terbatas pada menghitung mata dadu yang muncul. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data test dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-postest design. Kesimpulan penggunaan permainan dadu dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung pada tunagrahita.

Abstract

Intellectual disability students experience difficulties in the learning process, especially on the material arithmeti coperation. It was caused by to the intellectual development hampered by the limitations of IQ and final stage of operational phases of the students turn from abstract to the concrete. The research design used in this study was the Single Subject Research (SSR), with ABA design models and use measuring units scores. The subjects was intellectual disability students the fifth grade in SDLB Idayu II Malang. Data collection techniques was written tests. Research revealed a effect of the use of the bowling game to increaser eduction numeracy skills as the target behavior. Advice for school and the teacher can provide methods and learning media in accordance with the needs and characteristics of students..

Abstract

The learning process of students with hearing impairment (deaf students) is adjusted to its characteristics. Agricultural skills are subjects that provide opportunities for students to gain experience in producing a product. This study aims to analyze the effect of project model through the scientific approach towards the ability to prepare tools and planting ingredients of hydroponic vegetables of Deaf students in farming skills class SLB Negeri Balikpapan. This research is Quantitative Pre-Experimental research with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. A pretest is performed prior to treatment. Posttest is performed to measure the effect of treatment. The number of samples in the study was 30 deaf students in SLB Negeri Balikpapan. The results showed that there was an increase in pretest-posttest average value as follows. 1) The project model obtained a pretest average of 47.83, post-test 79.17. 2) Ability to prepare the vegetable planting of hydroponics vegetables, the pretest average value was 48.30, and posttest was 80.27. 3) Scientific Approach, the average value of pretest was 49.40, posttest value was 78.07. 4) Ability to prepare planting vegetable hydroponics, the average value of pretest was 47.20, posttest was 80.33. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) The project model has the significant effect on the ability to prepare hydroponic vegetable apparatus of Deaf students in farming skill class of SLB Negeri Balikpapan. 2) The scientific approach has a significant effect on the ability to prepare hydroponic vegetable cultivation tools for Deaf students in farming skill class of SLB Negeri Balikpapan. 3) The project model has a significant effect on the ability to prepare the ingredients of Hydroponic vegetables of Deaf students in farming skill class SLB Negeri Balikpapan. 4) The scientific approach has a significant effect on the ability to prepare the ingredients of Hydroponic vegetables of Deaf students in the SLB Agricultural Skill class of Balikpapan State. 5) The project model through a scientific approach has a significant effect on the ability to prepare tools and ingredients of Hydroponic vegetables for Deaf students in farming skill class SLB Negeri Balikpapan.

Abstract

A student with intellectual disability who has low level of intelligence and adaptive skills, a weak and abstract thinking needs a special approach of learning. The concept of weight measuring on student with intellectual disability is an abstract concept. Mastering concept of weight happens on student with intellectual disability is that if there is an object which seems to be larger or more is definitely heavier. This concept implies on the learning approaches used by educators in instilling the concept of weight measurement correctly. Therefore, before students start to study about the concept of actual weight need to be bridged with the real concept of scales and weighing process to ascertain the nature of the weight of an object. The goal of this research was to describe the effect of the scales mediausage toward mastery of the weight measuring concept on student with intellectual disability in the class VII. The research design used in this study was Single Subject Research (SSR) with models A-B-A and using the unit of measuring scores. The results showed that there was the effect of the media on the mastery of weight scales concept. It was stated in the calculation of the overlap percentage between phases of baseline-1 to 0% of the intervention phase. This calculation stated that interventions have an impact on increasing the target behavior because the overlap percentages were below 90%. Peserta didik tunagrahita adalah anak yang memiliki keterbatasan taraf kecerdasan dan keterampilan adaptif. Karakteristik tunagrahita yang lemah dalam berpikir abstrak perlu suatu pendekatan pembelajaran. Konsep pengukuran berat pada siswa tunagrahita merupakan suatu konsep abstrak. Penguasaan konsep berat yang terjadi pada siswa tunagrahita bahwa benda yang kelihatan lebih besar atau lebih banyak pasti lebih berat. Konsep yang terjadi demikian berimplikasi pada pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan pendidik dalam menanamkan konsep pengukuran berat secara benar. Untuk itu, sebelum siswa melangkah mempelajari konsep berat yang sebenarnya perlu dijembatani dengan konsep nyata dari timbangan dan proses menimbang untuk memastikan sifat berat suatu benda.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan media timbangan terhadap penguasaan konsep pengukuran berat pada siswa tunagrahita kelas VII, Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan model A-B-A dan menggunakan satuan ukur skor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan media timbangan terhadap penguasaan konsep berat. Hal ini dinyatakan dalam perhitungan persentase overlap antara fase baseline-1 ke fase intervensi sebesar 0%. Perhitungan tersebut menyatakan intervensi memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan target behavior, karena persentase overlap berada di bawah 90%.
