Abstract

Instrumen dalam bentuk asesmen penalaran sangat jarang digunakan pada penilaian kompetensi peserta didik pada abad 21. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa instrumen penilaian biologi menggunakan asesmen penalaran yaitu kerangka Quellmalz tentang materi jaringan tumbuhan untuk peserta didik kelas XI SMA/MA yang valid. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan 4D model yang terdiri atas tahap define dengan menganalisis soal-soal yang digunakan guru di sekolah, tahap design yaitu pemilihan aplikasi yang tepat dalam pengembangan instrumen penilaian, dan tahap development bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen penilaian biologi berbasis kerangka Quellmalz yang valid. Hasil uji validitas pada produk ini berdasarkan hasil validasi 3 orang dosen ahli. Hasil pengembangan instrumen penilaian ini menunjukkan kualitas produk dengan nilai rata-rata 87,41% berada pada kriteria valid. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen penilaian biologi yang dikembangkan ini sudah valid dan dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu instrumen dalam mengukur kemampuan penalaran peserta didik

Abstract

Evaluation is an activity carried out to measure the process of student learning outcomes and determine the achievement of learning objectives. Good quality questions are needed to provide accurate information on the abilities of students. The teacher at SMAN 1 Teluk Sebong did not analyze the items due to limited free time and the teacher's lack of understanding in analyzing the questions. This research aims to determine of quality the question final exam odd semester 2020/2021 biology class x sma negeri 1 teluk sebong. This research is a type of descriptive research with qualitative and quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. Qualitative descriptive analysis used item review sheets to determine the quality of the questions in terms of material, construction, and language. Quantitative descriptive analysis using Anates version 4.0.9 program to determine item validity, item reliability, discriminatory power, level of difficulty, and effectiveness of distractors. The results showed that in terms of (1) material aspects 99% appropriate categorized as very good, (2) construction aspects 95% appropriate categorized as very good, (3) language aspects 93% appropriate categorized as very good, (4) item validity 43% items are valid and 57% items are invalid, (5) questions reliability with a reliability index of 0.78 is categorized as very high, (6) discriminatory power of 27% items is good, 43% of items is sufficient, and 30% of items are bad, (7) difficulty level is 20% easy items, 57% moderate items, and 23% difficult items, (8) distractor effectiveness 41% very good option, 31% good option, 20% less option, 5% bad option, and 3% option is very bad. Conclusion analysis of quality the question final exam odd semester 2020/2021 biology class x sma negeri 1 teluk sebong in terms of material, construction, and language aspects is very good, has sufficient item validity, high reliability, sufficient discriminatory power, medium difficulty, and good distractor effectiveness.

Abstract

Bioreaktor tekanan yang digunakan pada percobaan yaitu Ganong. Tujuan percobaan ini yaitu mengukur tekanan gas oksigen menggunakan ganong dengan suhu yang berbeda. Metode yang digunakan pada percobaan ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan menggukan 5 perlakuan. Perlakuan yang dibedakan pada percobaan ini adalah suhu. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan pengaruh suhu terhadap kinerja enzim katalase, percobaan sebanyak 2 kali pengulangan terhadap 0oC, 20oC, dan 40oC memiliki perubahan dalam pengamatan yaitu muncul banyaknya gelembung yang dihasilkan dari reaksi kerja enzim, bara api menjadi menyala, dan terdapat tekanan dari hasil reaksi tersebut. Suhu paling optimal enzim bekerja dari hasil percobaan yaitu pada suhu 0oC. Hasilnya yaitu banyaknya gelembung yang dihasilkan, bara api menjadi menyala, dan terdapat rata-rata tekanan sebesar 79,05 cmHg. Sedangkan pada suhu 60oC, enzim katalase kurang optimal pada 2 kali percobaan pengulangan. Pada pengulangan ke 1 dan ke 2 memiliki perbedaan yaitu pengulangan ke 2 tidak memiliki tekanan walaupun menghasilkan banyak gelembung dan bara api yang menyala. Pada percobaan dengan suhu 80oC enzim rusak, sehingga tidak menghasilkan data.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 dapat dioptimalkan dengan pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi dalam proses pembelajaran, diantaranya dengan penggunaaan media pembelajaran google sites. Google sites dapat menyajikan pembelajaran yang membutuhkan visualisasi seperti video dalam satu website pembelajaran, sekaligus dapat mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan sarana dan prasarana yang tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Media Pembelajaran Biologi Menggunakan Google Sites tentang Materi Sistem Sirkulas i Darah pada Manusia untuk Peserta Didik Kelas XI MIPA SMA yang valid dan praktis. Pengembangan media ini menggunakan tiga tahapan dari 4-D models yaitu define, design, dan develop. Objek penelitian ini adalah Media Pembelajaran Biologi Menggunakan Google Sites tentang Materi Sistem Sirkulasi Darah pada Manusia untuk Peserta Didik Kelas XI MIPA SMA. Media ini divalidasi oleh 2 orang dosen Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNP dan 1 orang guru Biologi SMA Negeri 4 Payakumbuh, selanjutnya dilakukan uji praktikalitas oleh 1 orang guru Biologi dan 30 orang peserta didik Kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Payakumbuh. Hasil validasi Media Pembelajaran Biologi Menggunakan Google Sites yang dikembangkan menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 92,08 dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji praktikalitas Media Pembelajaran Biologi Menggunakan Google Sites menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 93,47 dari guru dengan kategori sangat praktis dan 90,10 dari peserta didik dengan kategori sangat praktis.

Abstract

Penyakit pada tanaman cabai rawit merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang sering terjadi dalam prospek budidaya tanaman cabai rawit, dikarenakan adanya serangan penyakit ini dapat menyebabkan kerugian secara ekonomi. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah menginventarisasi dan mengidentifikasi penyakit pada tanaman cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) di kebun Gaga Semanan. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanaman cabai rawit yang terserang penyakit di Kebun Gaga Semanan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di lapangan yaitu teramati gejala penyakit pada tanaman cabai rawit ialah bercak berwarna kecoklatan, berlekuk, mengkerut, dan kering pada buah cabai rawit. Gejala penyakit pada daun bercak-bercak bulat kecil dan klorosis, bagian tengah bercak berwarna putih seperti mata burung serta bercak tua berlubang pada daun, dan pucat pada daun diikuti layu dan menggulungnya daun bagian bawah yang kemudian menjadi layu secara keseluruhan. Berdasarkan hasil isolasi fungi dari sampel tanaman cabai rawit yang memiliki gejala penyakit tersebut teramati fungi dengan ciri bentuk makrokonidia silindris dengan ujung tumpul, bentuk makrokonidia tongkat dengan ujung tumpul, dan bentuk makrokonidia silindris dengan ujung runcing serupa sabit. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa fungi yang menyebabkan penyakit pada tanaman cabai rawit di kebun Gaga Semanan teridentifikasi ialah Colletotrichum sp., Cercospora sp., Fusarium sp.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine how students' science process skills are by applying a guided inquiry learning model to the material of the interaction of living beings to the environment at one of the junior high schools at Langsa city, Indonesia. The type of research used is experimental research with the form of pre-experimental design, and the research design is one shot case study. The results showed the highest percentage value of science process skills in the observation/observing indicator, namely obtaining a score of 78.95% with the "good" category. The average score on the science process skills indicator of the overall indicator is 66.73%, with the category "sufficient." Based on the results obtained, the value of science process skills with the implementation of a guided inquiry learning model on the interaction material of living beings to the class VII environment at one of the junior high schools at Langsa obtained an average score of 63.17% with the category of "sufficient.".

Abstract

The achievement of learning objectives can be disrupted because of issues that occur in learning so that learning activities cannot be carried out optimally. As a result, it is important to identify the issues arising in order to select the most suitable solution to resolve them. The study aimed to identify problems with learning urban biology at one of the senior high schools in Jakarta and to find answers to those problems. The research method is using a case study method; a type of research that involves an in-depth examination of one individual, a group, an organization, and so on over a set period of time. The study's data collection methods included observation and interviewing. The study's findings reveal the following issues in learning biology at one of the senior high schools in Jakarta: 1) The biology program's implementation on practical indicators, 2) The redesigned 2013 curriculum, which is considered inconvenient for students and teachers to use, 3) Learning media selection and 4) Student learning interest. The solution to the problems of learning biology at senior high school in Jakarta is to understand the concept of implementing the 2013 curriculum so that it can provide innovative learning methods, can optimize the learning media that are being used, and understand the cognitive development of students with good communication skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of interactive multimedia on students' cognitive learning outcomes in class XI. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using Posttest-Only Control Design. The population is students of class XI MIPA. Samples were taken by random sampling; an experimental class that uses interactive multimedia with as many as 30 students and a control class that does not use interactive multimedia with as many as 30 students. The data collection technique is carried out by providing a post-test to obtain data on student cognitive learning outcomes, and the data analysis technique used is an independent sample t-test with a significant level (α) = 5%. Based on data analysis and hypothesis testing, it shows that there is an influence of interactive learning multimedia on cognitive learning outcomes because of the significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. There are differences in student results, which can be seen through hypothesis tests that H0 is rejected and Hi is accepted. Students accept the use of interactive multimedia in the classroom in carrying out the teaching and learning process. Based on the study results, it was concluded that interactive learning multimedia influences the cognitive learning outcomes of class XI students.

Abstract

Sensitivity to environmental concepts is closely related to naturalistic intelligence, as well as concern for finding solutions to environmental problems through problem-solving skills. This study aimed to determine the correlation between naturalistic intelligence and problem-solving ability through environmental photovoice project. Correlational research method was used in this study with purposive sampling technique. Population were 10th grade students of senior high school with specific science class as a sample. Naturalistic intelligence was measured by using naturalistic questionnaire. The problem-solving ability indicates in photovoice project and measured by using a photovoice assessment rubric developed based on problem-solving indicators. The results showed that the average of students’ naturalistic intelligence was 75.82 in score, it’s mean that students’ naturalistic intelligence belong to high criteria. The average of students’ problem-solving skills was 66.12 in score belong to high criteria as well.  The result of this research shows the value of correlational coefficient was 0.582. This means that there was strong positive relationship between naturalistic intelligence and the problem-solving skills through photovoice project on the environmental topic. These findings indicate that naturalistic intelligence are closely related to problem-solving skills. Finally, we discuss the relationship of naturalistic intelligence and problem-solving skills and provide suggestions for further work.
