Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a wealth of natural resources. This abundant natural resource if used and utilized properly will be very profitable. Charcoal briquettes are one of the processed products derived from natural resources to increase their added value. Seeing this, PT Gemati Global Industri utilizes charcoal briquettes as the main product for export. This study aims to determine the development of PT Gemati Global Industri's charcoal briquette export volume over a certain period of time, analyzing the influence of the rupiah exchange rate on the US dollar, inflation, the quality of charcoal briquettes and export agents simultaneously or partially on the export volume of charcoal briquettes. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method and uses a multiple linear regression approach using primary data and secondary data within a certain period of time. The results of the study show that the development of PT Gemati Global Industri's charcoal briquette exports tends to be stable with an increase in recent months. The results of this study also show that all variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the export volume of charcoal briquettes of PT Gemati Global Industri. This should be taken into account for the company's export activities to be more profitable or at least still profitable. The rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar and inflation have a significant effect. Export agents have a significant effect on the export volume of charcoal briquettes of PT Gemati Global Industri. Meanwhile, the quality of charcoal briquettes does not have a significant effect on the export volume of charcoal briquettes of PT Gemati Global Industri.

Abstract

The transformation of the food system towards sustainability is crucial in the face of the climate crisis, environmental degradation, and social inequality. One approach that promotes sustainable food consumption is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). This study aims to analyze the influence of the marketing mix on the purchase intention of potential members of CSA Tani Sauyunan, a social urban farming program by Seni Tani in Bandung. Despite the increase in organic product consumption, the number of active CSA consumers remains relatively low. This research uses a quantitative approach through a survey questionnaire targeting Instagram followers of Seni Tani who have never been CSA members. The research instrument employs a 7-point Likert scale to measure perceptions of the seven elements of the marketing mix and purchase intention. The results indicate that the product, process, and physical evidence elements received positive evaluations, reflecting CSA's service quality. However, perceptions of the price element remain low, indicating a mismatch between the value received and the price set. The regression analysis shows that the overall marketing mix affects purchase intention. Therefore, the improvement of the marketing mix 7P strategy is needed to increase purchase intention.

Abstract

This study investigates the accessibility of livelihood capital among sheep-farming households in Wanaraja District, Garut Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative research design was applied through a structured survey involving 95 sheep farmers. Livelihood capital accessibility was conceptualized across five dimensions: human, natural, financial, social, and physical capital. Data were analyzed using the Entropy Weight Method to objectively determine the relative contribution of each dimension in shaping overall livelihood capital accessibility. The results indicate that financial capital is the most accessible dimension among sheep farmers, highlighting the dominant role of financial resources in supporting their livelihood strategies. In contrast, human, social, physical, and natural capital remain less accessible, suggesting that these dimensions have not been fully optimized to enhance the resilience and sustainability of rural livelihoods. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening non-financial forms of capital to achieve a more balanced and sustainable livelihood system among smallholder livestock farmers.

Abstract

CV. Berkah Tani is widely recognized as a reputable producer of lemon with a strong record of consumer loyalty. However, the company has faced various production challenges, including fluctuating yields and instances of crop failure. These conditions indicate the presence of risks in the cultivation process. This study aims to identify the sources of these risks, assess their probabilities and impacts, and formulate appropriate management strategies to help the farm achieve its production and profit targets. The research adopts a case study method with a qualitative approach, employing Z-Score and Value at Risk (VaR) analyses. The results reveal three main risk sources affecting CV. Berkah Tani's farming activities: Pests and Diseases with a probability of 33.50% and an estimated loss of Rp 20,522,514; Climate and Weather with a probability of 23.92% and an estimated loss of Rp 18,918,012; and Labor with a probability of 19.04% and an estimated loss of Rp 17,560,171. Based on risk measurement and risk mapping analysis, both preventive and mitigation strategies were developed to minimize the impact of these risks. Among the three, Pests and Diseases were identified as the most critical risk factor. Suggested strategies to mitigate this risk include the use of yellow traps to manage fruit fly infestations, rotating chemical and botanical pesticides to control pest resistance, and conducting regular monitoring and early identification of symptoms of pest and disease attacks on lemon plants.

Abstract

The tourism sector has become a new source of economic growth in various regions of Indonesia, including Bandung Regency, which has the second-highest number of tourist attractions in West Java. One developing tourism potential is nature-based agrotourism, such as the Ranca Cangkuang Camping Ground. This site offers various environmental service benefits expected to attract tourists. Since this natural-resource-based tourist attraction does not yet have a clear market value, this study aims to estimate its economic value using the Individual Travel Cost Method (ITCM). The study results show a consumer surplus value of IDR 72,000 per individual per visit and an economic value of the Ranca Cangkuang Camping Ground amounting to IDR 1,416,240,000 for the period from March 2024 to February 2025.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to analyze the trend of government performance on the Food Security Index (FSI), and (2) to analyze the influence of fiscal policy in the agricultural economy (general allocation fund (GAF)s, special allocation funds (SAF), and deconcentration funds in the agricultural sector (DF)) on government performance related to the Food Security Index. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from 17 regencies/cities over 5-year period (2020–2024). Data were analyzed using descriptive trend analysis and multiple panel data regression. The findings reveal that (1) the government’s performance on the Food Security Index is relatively good, although the index dynamics vary among provinces in the Tomini Bay region. Central Sulawesi recorded an average FSI growth of -1.21%, North Sulawesi showed an average growth of 0.34%, while Gorontalo Province achieved the highest and relatively stable average growth of 0.43%. (2) The general allocation fund, special allocation fund, and deconcentration fund in the agricultural sector jointly have a significant effect on the Food Security Index of regencies/cities in the Tomini Bay region, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 22.2373%, while the remaining 77.7627% is explained by other variables. Partially, the general allocation fund has a positive but insignificant effect on the Food Security Index, while both the special allocation fund and deconcentration fund in the agricultural sector have a positive and significant effect on the index.
