Abstract

Pencatatan usaha tani belum banyak dilakukan oleh petani padahal pencatatan usaha tani mempunyai peranan penting untuk mendapatkan pembiayaan dari berbagai sumber pembiayaan yang terdapat di sekitar petani. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan petani dalam melakukan pencatatan usaha tani. Metode PKM dilaksanakan dalam bentuk kegiatan penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan pencatatan usaha tani. Partisipasi masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan program ini dinilai sangat baik yang ditunjukkan dengan keaktifan petani dalam melakukan diskusi dalam pelaksanaan program ini. Petani peserta PKM sebelumnya kurang mengetahui bagaimana pencatatan usaha dilakukan. Setelah kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan, petani sudah mulai mengerti mengenai pencatatan usaha tani dan telah menerapkannya dalam kegiatan sehari-hari mereka.

Abstract

Kota Bogor memiliki komoditas khas yaitu talas yang dapat diolah menjadi produk makanan, yaitu lapis talas. Produsen yang menjual produk lapis talas adalah Rumah Talas. Semakin banyak produsen yang menjual produk talas menyebabkan Rumah Talas memiliki beberapa pesaing dalam memasarkan produknya. Oleh karena itu, konsumen harus memilih produk mana yang akan dibeli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik konsumen Rumah Talas dan mengetahui preferensi konsumen terhadap produk Rumah Talas serta atribut mana yang menjadi preferensi konsumen. Data diolah menggunakan analisis chi-square dan metode based on rank orders serta dianalisis secara kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, karakteristik konsumen Rumah Talas adalah laki – laki, status sudah menikah, berusia 46 – 60, berpendidikan S1, status pekerjaan PNS/TNI, dan pendapatan sebesar Rp. 5.000.000 - Rp. 10.000.000. Produk yang disukai oleh konsumen adalah produk dengan harga yang sedang, rasa yang enak, produk dengan warna ungu, tekstur yang lembut, kemasan yang menarik, dan produk dengan merek terkenal. Berdasarkan peringkat atau urutan kepentingan atribut produk Rumah Talas maka urutan kepentingan dari yang pertama hingga terakhir adalah harga, rasa, tekstur, kemasan, merek, dan warna. Untuk itu, Rumah Talas perlu mempertahankan harga produk agar tetap stabil serta meningkatkan kualitas warna produk agar konsumen lebih tertarik dengan produk Rumah Talas tersebut.

Abstract

Lembang Vocational Training Center (Balai Latihan Kerja/BLK Lembang) is a government vocational training institution in charge of organizing vocational training in agriculture/agribusiness for the community, especially job seekers. The challenge faced by BLK Lembang is to create agricultural entrepreneurs expected to reduce 1.8 million unemployed in West Java (BPS, 2017). This study aims to investigate the innovations undertaken by BLK Lembang in creating agricultural entrepreneurs through agricultural vocational training. The study was conducted from November to December 2017 at BLK Lembang using qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through secondary data, observation, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to several key informants. The results of this study showed that BLK Lembang has performed innovations in its vocational training system in order to create agricultural entrepreneurs that include: vision and planning, demonstration and training facilities, capacity building for instructor, training program development, training contents development, utilization of material practice, On Job Training Program, and networking. In the future, BLK Lembang will take opportunities for innovation in management and work culture, human resources, training programs, membership, facilities and partnership to improve its training system and quality in order to create more agricultural entrepreneurs.Keywords: agricultural entrepreneur, agricultural innovation system, agricultural vocational training

Abstract

Taro is a distinctive commodity from Bogor which can be processed into a food product that is lapis talas. Producers who sell the product is Rumah Talas. The more producers who sell this product makes Rumah Talas has several competitors in marketing their products. This is a matter for consumers to choose which products to buy. This study aims to determine the consumers’ characteristics of Rumah Talas and to know the consumers preferences of Rumah Talas product and which attributes that become the consumer preferences. This research used survey method and analyzed quantitatively. Data analysis techniques used chi-square analysis and based on rank orders method. The results showed that the consumer characteristics of Rumah Talas were male, with married status, aged 46 - 60, undergraduate S1, with employment status of civil servants / military, and monthly income of Rp. 5.000.000 - Rp. 10.000.000. Products favored by consumers are products with moderate prices, good taste, products with purple, soft texture, attractive packaging, and likes products that have famous brand. Based on the rank or order of interest attributes of Rumah Talas product, the order of interest from the first to the last is price, taste, texture, packaging, brand, and color.

Abstract

Indonesia is a major producer and exporter of palm oil in the world. The high demand of international market for environmentally friendly palm oil is the reason for Indonesian government to issue standard ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil) policy in 2011. ISPO is a standardization of oil palm plantation which aims to support the creation of environmentally friendly and sustainable palm oil products and mandatory for palm oil companies in Indonesia. Good management of oil palm plantations are those that comply with seven principles of ISPO. This research use some principles of ISPO, the first principles on the legality of the plantation business, the second principle of plantation management, and the fourth principle related to environmental monitoring and management. This study aims to determine the extent to which the application of plantation management in accordance with the criteria and the first, second, and fourth principle of ISPO in PTPN VIII Cikasungka. The research design used was qualitative descriptive with triangulation data collection techniques. The result of the research stated that PTPN VIII Cikasungka has been sufficiently suitable to manage plantation based on the first, second, and fourth principle of ISPO standard.

Abstract

Finance can be accessed from various financial providers, for instance finance from government. One of the financial forms provided by the government is in-kind finance such as seeds, fertilizer, and harvesting tools. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship betwen agricultural production and in-kind finance from Indonesian government. The study was conducted from May to September 2017 using survey technique to collect data from 97 potato farmers in Garut District. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics technique and Ordinary Least Square regression. Results showed that in-kind finance from the government helped farmers in potato production. Farmers who had access to in-kind finance from the government had a higher potato production compared to farmers who did not have access to the in-kind finance.

Abstract

PTPN VIII Kertamanah PTPN Plantation is a country’s company under the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises that engaged in the production of tea which has a good reputation in West Java. However, national’s tea production was tending to decrease in these past months and even get worsen because of the Covid – 19 pandemics which also has an impact on the plantation sector. This study aims to determine the tea agribusiness performance, internal and external factors in the company, and decide the viable tea agribusiness development strategies. This research uses descriptive-qualitative design and study case research technique. In needs to explaining the tea agribusiness performance is done descriptively, meanwhile for finding the right developing strategy there needs to be a matrix analysis of IFAS, EFAS, IE, and SWOT. Based on the descriptive data analysis, the production input procurement subsystem supports the production / cultivation and processing subsystem. Furthermore, those two subsystems support the running of the marketing subsystem. The smooth activites of all subsystems are supported by several supporting institutuions. The SWOT analysis resulted nine alternative strategies as like: (1) Mantaining performance and quality, (2) Opening job labor, (3) Making an inovation, (4) Maximazing the use of technology, (5) Maximazing company’s assets, (6) Work together with government and counseller, (7) Making a more detailed plan, (8) Take advantage of the superior factory program, and (9) Increasing promotion as long as the interesting education.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKakao merupakan salah satu komoditas yang memiliki kontribusi terbesar terhadap perekonomian Indonesia. Kakao memiliki potensi hilirisasasi yang sangat baik, dimana produk hilir kakao sangat beragam dan memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Pemerintah menetapkan bubuk kakao dan lemak kakao sebagai produk hilir utama yang dihasilkan Indonesia. Perkembangan dapat dilihat pada perubahan jenis produk kakao yang diekspor. Ekspor biji kakao terus mengalami penurunan, sementara ekspor bubuk kakao dan lemak kakao terus mengalami peningkatan. Perkembangan pada industri juga dapat dilihat pada peningkatan impor biji kakao oleh Indonesia yang mengindikasikan peningkatan pada konsumsi biji kakao oleh industri hilir domestik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan menganalisis trend perubahan produksi biji kakao, konsumsi biji kakao oleh industri, dan produksi produk hilir dengan menggunakan analisis trend dan grafik, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan industri hilir domestik terhadap biji kakao menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS) dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi dan volume ekspor biji kakao mengalami penurunan, sementara produksi produk hilir dan konsumsi biji kakao oleh industri meningkat. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan industri hilir terhadap biji kakao secara signifikan adalah harga biji kakao, harga lemak kakao, harga bubuk kakao, dan produksi bubuk kakao.Kata Kunci: Bubuk Kakao, Lemak Kakao, Trend Perubahan, Permintaan Industri, Ordinary Least SquareABSTRACTCocoa has one of the highest contribution towards Indonesian economy among other agricultural commodities. Cocoa has huge potential in the downstream sector, reflected by the many variations of cocoa-based products with high economic value. Government of Indonesia declared cocoa powder and cocoa butter as the main product of downstream cocoa industry. Development of the cocoa industry downstream sector is indicated in the shift of cocoa based-products exported to various countries around the world, from raw cocoa seeds to cocoa powder and cocoa butter. Increase in Indonesian import of cocoa beans shows that there is an increase in the industry’s consumption of raw cocoa beans. The purpose of this research is to analyze the trend and dynamics of Indonesia’s cocoa bean production, cocoa bean export, downstream sector’s production, and downstream sector’s cocoa bean consumption, and to identify factors that affect downstream cocoa industry’s demand of cocoa beans using Ordinary Least Squares regression analysis. The result of this research shows that Indonesia’s cocoa bean export and production is trending downward, while downstream production and consumption shows a positive developing trend. Factors that affect the cocoa downstream industry’s demand are prices of cocoa bean, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, and the amount of cocoa powder produced by the industry.Keywords: Cocoa Powder, Cocoa Butter, Trend, Dowsntream Industry’s Demand, Ordinary Least Square

Abstract

ABSTRAKWaaida Farm merupakan perusahaan pionir agribisnis ciplukan berjenis Physalis peruviana di Indonesia. Waaida Farm mulai fokus untuk membudidayakan ciplukan karena melihat besarnya peluang pasar ciplukan di Indonesia. Namun sejauh ini Waaida Farm baru mampu memenuhi permintaan dari Pulau Jawa disebabkan oleh produksi yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi mengenai strategi pengembangan agribisnis ciplukan berdasarkan analisis faktor internal dan eksternal yang dapat dilakukan di Waaida Farm. Penelitian dilakukan dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik penelitian studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi literatur. Dalam menentukan strategi pengembangan yang tepat, diperlukan analisis matriks IFAS, EFAS, IE, SWOT dan QSP. Hasil analisis SWOT menghasilkan lima rumusan strategi yang dapat diterapkan oleh Waaida Farm. Hasil analisis matriks QSP menghasilkan prioritas strategi yang tepat untuk diterapkan oleh Waaida Farm yaitu menginvestasikan profit perusahaan untuk pembelian boks pendingin yang berguna untuk mengatasi kekurangan produksi di periode tertentu dan meningkatkan angka penjualan. Kata kunci: Ciplukan, Strategi Pengembangan Agribisnis, SWOT, QSPM.ABSTRACTWaaida Farm is a pioneer company of agribusiness of Physalis peruviana “ciplukan” in Indonesia. Waaida Farm started its cultivation of “ciplukan” with the considerations of “ciplukan” that has a big market opportunity. However, Waaida Farm could just fulfill the demand from Java so far because of its low production. The object of this research is to give a solution regarding the agribusiness developing strategy of “ciplukan” based on internal and external factors analysis which can be done at Waaida Farm. This research uses descriptive-qualitative design and study case research technique. Data collecting method used in this research is through interview and literature study. In needs to find the right developing strategy, there needs to be a matrix analysis of IFAS, EFAS, IE, SWOT and QSP. The SWOT analysis resulted five strategy formulations that can be implemented at Waaida Farm. The matrix QSP analysis resulted the right priority strategy for Waaida Farm, that is to invest the company’s profit for purchasing cooler boxes to overcome production shortages in certain periods and to increase the number of sales.Keywords: “Ciplukan”, Agribusiness Developing Strategy, SWOT, QSPM.
