Abstract

CV. Imunk Flower is a chrysanthemum cultivation company in Bandungan District, established in 2012 and officially registered as a limited partnership (CV) in 2022. The large number of chrysanthemum farmers in the area causes peak harvest periods and price fluctuations, creating marketing challenges. Limited promotion and a shortage of administrative staff also hinder sales performance. This study aims to identify internal and external factors influencing business development, analyze strategies for developing cut-chrysanthemum agribusiness, and determine priority alternative strategies for CV. Imunk Flower. The research was conducted from May to June 2025 using a case study approach. Primary data were obtained through interviews with structured questionnaires and direct observation, while secondary data were collected from literature and company documents. Purposive sampling was used to select informants, consisting of the owner, 7 workers, saprotan suppliers, and 10 consumers. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods with the IFAS, EFAS, and SWOT matrices, as well as the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) through the Super Decisions 2.10 application. The results show that the company is positioned in Quadrant I based on the SWOT analysis, with coordinates (x1.221; y0.638). Three SO strategies are produced: improving the quality and varieties of cut chrysanthemums, optimizing production and sales during major holidays, and strengthening marketing management. The AHP results indicate that the highest-priority strategy is optimizing production and sales during major holidays (weight 0.493), while the top sub-strategy is developing a structured planting and harvesting schedule (weight 0.337).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze various factors that influence Corporate Sustainability Performance in creating a green strategy for companies in the agricultural sector, particularly Crude Palm Oil (CPO) companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from 11 Crude Palm Oil (CPO) agricultural companies during the 2021–2024 period, resulting in a total of 44 data observations. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression with panel data. The results show that institutional ownership, independent commissioners, Return on Assets (ROA), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) jointly have a significant effect on Corporate Sustainability Performance in creating a green strategy for agricultural CPO companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with a coefficient of determination of 40.6367%. The remaining 59.3633% is explained by other variables not examined in this study, such as firm size, managerial ownership, firm age, environmental performance, and corporate social responsibility disclosure policy. Partially, the findings reveal that institutional ownership has a positive but insignificant effect, independent commissioners have a negative but insignificant effect, Return on Assets (ROA) has a positive and significant effect, and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has a negative and significant effect.

Abstract

Beef cattle are one of the national commodity strategies of the livestock subsector, so that no livestock business and livestock business development is inseparable from the support of various resources. The livestock farmer empowerment program in accordance with Government Regulation Number 6 of 2013 is expected to be able to increase livestock farmers' access to beef cattle farming business resources. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the empowerment program on the accessibility of beef cattle business resources, namely financial, technological, physical, economical, environmental, and social resources. The study was conducted in Purnama Village, Tegalampel Subdistrict, Bondowoso District, East Java Province. The study used qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative data collection used the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and observation methods, while quantitative data collection used survey methods, namely by interview (oral survey) and filling out questionnaires (written survey). The study involved 122 beef cattle farmers (owning their own), which was determined by the requirement that respondents have at least 2 (two) cows (micro-scale). Data analysis used simple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that livestock farmers have a positive influence on livestock business resources, including financial, technological, physical, economical, environmental, and social resources. However, livestock farmers only significantly influence technological, environmental, and social resources, while other resources, such as financial, physical, and economical resources, have no significant influence. Livestock empowerment has a 22.09% impact on technological resources, a 23.80% impact on environmental resources, and a 30.30% impact on social resources.

Abstract

Indonesia’s dairy industry has undergone substantial development over the past decade, yet it continues to face persistent challenges arising from market liberalization and intensifying global competition. The BUSEP ratio policy, introduced in 1982, was designed to protect smallholder dairy farmers by mandating the absorption of domestically produced fresh milk by processing industries. This study aims to systematically examine the impacts of this policy on the welfare of key stakeholders: government, producers, and consumers, while also identifying the resulting economic and social implications. The research employs a systematic literature review combined with static comparative analysis using secondary data. Comparisons are drawn between conditions before and after the abolition of the BUSEP ratio policy, with specific attention to changes in producer surplus and consumer surplus. In addition, the study assesses the influence of a 5% import tariff on domestic milk pricing structures and supply conditions. The findings reveal that while the BUSEP ratio policy increased producer surplus, it significantly reduced consumer surplus, ultimately leading to a decline in net social welfare. The policy’s revocation in 1998 did not yield the anticipated benefits, as import prices surged sharply during the monetary crisis, preventing processors from optimizing alternative supply sources. Heightened competition with international producers further underscores the need for domestic farmers to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. Overall, the study indicates that existing policies have not optimally improved welfare outcomes. Consequently, there is a pressing need for more adaptive policy frameworks that prioritize production efficiency, price stability, and sustained protection for Indonesia’s dairy farmers.

Abstract

Climate change has become a global challenge that directly impacts the food systems of indigenous communities, including Kampung Naga in Tasikmalaya Regency. However, studies and management of the impacts of extreme climate change on the food systems of indigenous communities indicate gaps, and are even neglected. Therefore, this research aims to formulate strategies for mitigation, adaptation, and protection of the food systems of the Kampung Naga indigenous community in facing climate change, using a case study method with Soft Systems Methodology analysis. The key informants in this study are representatives of the Kampung Naga community, neighborhood leaders, customary chiefs, youth representatives, household representatives, as well as representatives from Neglasari Village Government and Field Agricultural Extension Officers. Primary data from key informants were collected through surveys, in-depth interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGD) using guidelines, while secondary data were sourced from various literature. Through the SSM analysis stages, it was found that the transformation of the food system cannot be separated from social structures, cultural values, and living customary institutions. The analysis results indicate that an effective strategy must actively involve local actors, integrate traditional knowledge with scientific approaches, and consider the dimensions of efficacy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the transformation process. This study produced a conceptual model that is contextual and participatory, and can serve as a basis for developing food security policies based on local wisdom by implementing various improvement actions including strengthening human resources and actor regeneration, enhancing the self-sufficiency of local production inputs, developing products and post-harvest processes, strengthening synergy among actors, reinforcing institutions and networks, as well as community-based documentation and research. These findings are expected to contribute to building a resilient, fair, and sustainable food system. These findings are expected to contribute to building a resilient, just, and sustainable food system amid the threat of climate change.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector in Purbolinggo District are facing internal challenges, such as limited capital, business skills, and minimal promotion, as well as external challenges, including market competition and low adaptation to technology. Bank BTPN Syariah, through the Bestee program, is providing solutions in the form of financing and business assistance, including training in financial recording, promotion strategies, and brand identity development. This study aims to analyze the costs, revenues, and incomes of culinary MSMEs, to measure income improvement after assistance, and to formulate development strategies using the SWOT and Business Model Canvas (BMC) approaches. The study is conducted using purposive sampling with seven respondents who are Bank BTPN Syariah clients engaged in culinary businesses. Data analysis consists of cost, revenue, and income calculations, as well as income differences before and after the assistance program. Furthermore, IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) and EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary) analyses are used to develop the SWOT matrix. The results show that the average monthly income of culinary MSMEs is IDR 3,728,589 with an R/C ratio of 1.5 and a B/C ratio of 0.5, indicating that the business is profitable. After receiving assistance, income increases by 11.82%. Based on SWOT analysis, MSMEs are positioned in Quadrant I with a Strength–Opportunity (SO) strategy, which is to develop product and service variations, establish partnerships with fresh raw material suppliers, and build a simple distribution system. Evaluation through the BMC indicates that MSMEs have great potential to grow by determining appropriate market segments, offering value that meets consumer needs, and utilizing digital technology for wider and more effective distribution and marketing.

Abstract

Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD), particularly KUD Karya Jaya, play a role as institutions that support the economic activities of oil palm farmers in Bukit Harapan Village, Merlung, Jambi Province. However, the business performance and service quality of KUD Karya Jaya are experiencing a downward, potentially affecting the revenue of oil palm farmers in the village. This study aims to analyze the influence of fresh fruit bunch (FFB) marketing services, savings and loan services, and production facilities services on the revenue of oil palm farmers in Bukit Harapan Village, Merlung, Jambi Province. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression, with data transformed using the Method of Successive Interval (MSI). Data were collected from 84 active members of KUD Karya Jaya using simple random sampling. The results show that FFB marketing services, savings and loan services, and production facilities services simultaneously have a significant effect on revenue, with an adjusted R square value of 0.307. This indicates that these three services simultaneously explain 30,7% of the variation in the revenue of oil palm farmers who are members of KUD Karya Jaya, while the remaining 69,3% is explained by other factors outside the model not examined in this study. Partially, each of these services also has a significant effect on the revenue of oil palm farmers.

Abstract

Sustainable agriculture is an important pillar in achieving national food security, especially in rural areas that have an agricultural production base. This study aims to analyse the role and support of village governments in food policy and its implications for farmer independence in Sumenep Regency. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, surveys of 15 respondents, and analysis of village policy documents in five sub-districts that are agricultural production centres (Gapura, Runaru, Batang Batang, Lenteng, and Guluk-Guluk). The results show that 73% of villages have allocated Village Funds for food security programmes, particularly for the procurement of high-quality local seeds, organic fertilisers, and simple agricultural equipment. A total of 35% of villages have Village Food Security Regulations as a legal instrument to protect land and strengthen local food reserves. In addition, several farmers have begun to adopt environmentally friendly agricultural practices and crop diversification, which has resulted in an increase in income of 5–15% per planting season. Farmers' high social capital strengthens local institutional collaboration, such as Poktan, Gapoktan, and BUMDes agriculture. These findings indicate that village government support plays a significant role in strengthening farmer independence and local food security through policy, institutions, and community participation. However, challenges such as limited access to capital, dependence on aid, and land conversion still require cross-level policy intervention. This study emphasises the importance of a multi-level governance approach and community-based sustainable agriculture as strategies for strengthening village food sovereignty.
