Abstract

The “Product UMKM Online” website is a marketplace or e-commerce that is used as a medium to facilitate UMKM actors in Indonesia in marketing their products and helping UMKM actors to further increase their product sales and help play an important role in the UMKM business process in Indonesia. however, the author found on the website there are still some shortcomings, so the author researched. this study aims to provide recommendations as reference material in the form of a prototype design so that it can be developed in the future. in this study, the author uses a Design Thinking method approach to be able to produce a UI/UX design that fits the user’s needs. There are several processes in the research method that the author uses, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The prototype stage goes through several stages, namely understanding a problem, designing a solution than making a prototype which is then tested on several users. The application of the Design Thinking method in this research is expected to improve the user’s experience better than before.

Abstract

SINTA is a website portal pioneered by the Director General of R&D Improvement, Ministry of Research Technology, and Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia to make it easier for researchers to search for journals for publication. However, in its implementation, many researchers have encountered problems, one of which is in the form of searching for publication duration and ranking, as well as searches that are carried out manually, making it difficult for researchers to find a place to publish. In this study, the author took journal data based on the SINTA website with Web scraping techniques using the Python programming language and then stored the data in the SINTA database, then scheduling a Cron job so that the data in the database was always updated. It is hoped that the results of this study can help researchers in searching for journals for publication.

Abstract

Technology is required to support the learning process in education, especially amid the present Covid-19 pandemic, which necessitates pupils to study from home. Obviously, online learning between students and teachers requires liaison media as a means of communication to facilitate the learning process, one of which is the introduction of variation, symptoms, and Covid-19 immunization, which many youngsters do not yet comprehend. Therefore, games are required to introduce variations, symptoms, and Covid-19 vaccinations in order to provide students with the necessary information to recognize variations, symptoms, and Covid-19 vaccinations. A game created with RPG Maker MV that features characters. There are six grade levels in the game. To proceed to the next grade level, kids must answer questions within each game. Based on the questionnaire responses using the SQA measure, this game received a score of 83.6 out of a possible 100. Similarly, the feasibility of quality has a value of 82.2. The questionnaire scores varied by 2.4 points, and it was determined that the variance, symptom, and Covid-19 vaccine recognition game was usable. This game can be used as a resource for introducing and preventing Covid-19 among students.

Abstract

Forest fires are one of the disasters that cause problems for the environment. Forest fires can cause damage and threats, not only to forest resources but also to the entire ecosystem, both fauna and plants that can damage biodiversity and the environment of an area and can endanger human life. The source of forest fires was initially thought to come from a dry and hot environment, but in some cases, forest fires are triggered by human activities in clearing land for agriculture or other purposes. One of the factors that influence the spread of forest fires is several variables combined with humidity levels, wind speed, and rainfall. In this study, researchers used machine learning algorithms KNN and Naïve Bayes to predict forest fires and compare the results of the performance levels of each method used. The results obtained indicate that the naive Bayes method has an accuracy value of 53.33% and K-NN has an accuracy value of 62.66%

Abstract

The research aims to develop an Android-based learning media. The stages of the research are analysis, implementation, and evaluation. The participants of the research were students at West Kalimantan Vocational High School. The research method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE approach. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were students of class X AK 1 and X AK 2 at Vocational High School West Kalimantan, totaling 56 students, for a small-scale trial taken 5 students from X AK 1 and 5 students from X AK 2. Research instrument was using a questionnaire with a scale. Research results based on research statements and the development of Android-based learning media with App Inventor on word processing software, it can be concluded that to make applications with App Inventor software it is not enough to just use a browser application. the development of learning media using the App Inventor media after validation with two media experts is very feasible to use and by using this application the teaching and learning process run very independently and make it easier for students to understand the learning material

Abstract

State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya is one of the universities that organize vocational education in Indonesia, by having a variety of laboratories to support its education. One of them is the Laboratory of Telecommunication Engineering Study Program, which has assets in the form of equipment/instruments used by its students to carry out practical activities based on predetermined courses. However, the current borrowing equipment system in the laboratory still uses a manual system, where students are required to fill out a loan form provided by the laboratory technician. In this case, the use of website-based applications as a medium for stock information and lending activities is expected to be an alternative in the inventory process. The prototype method is used in application development. Web-based applications are designed using the Laravel framework. After testing using a black box, it shows that all the functionality of the application system that has been designed runs properly and well. From the test results, the QR Code and RFID can display the scan results in the application quickly. A web-based inventory application with QR Code and RFID technology can assist in monitoring inventory and the process of borrowing equipment in the Telecommunication Engineering Study Program laboratory.

Abstract

Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a server system network to content contribution in an application/web to various accessors around the world so that data sent and received by users was faster. Server selection algorithm determines the extent to which the quality of server service to client requests. This study to analyze  CDN performance, used Geographical algorithm Domain Name Server (GeoDNS), Round Robin (RR), Weigthed Round Robin (WRR), dan Least Connection (LC). In addition, Rateless Code (RLC) is also applied to reduce packet loss, there are two methods used, namely the first method is rateless code 50 and the second method is rateless code 100. Thus, the trial was carried out 20 times. Besides that, it is also applied Rateless Code (RLC) to less packet loss. From the research results, the use of CDN can improve server service performance. CDN managed to reduce the maximum to the average delay about 67,6%. From the studied CDN algorithm, Geo DNS experienced the lowest delay up to about 67.6 ms, however LC experienced the lowest packet loss, namely about 2,84%. The application of rateless code on CDN with LC algorithm succeeded in reducing packet loss to about 2.84%, but delay increased to about 75.3%.

Abstract

In this journal, simulation of priority round robin scheduling algorithm is presented. To imitate the processes of operating system operation, simulation can be used. By simulation, model is used, namely models that represent the characteristics or behaviour of systems. Process scheduling is one important operation in operating system. OS-SIM can be used to model and simulate the operations of process scheduling. Some scheduling algorithms are available in modern operating systems, like First come First Serve (FCFS), Shortest Job First (SJF), Round Robin (RR), Priority Scheduling or combination of these algorithms. One important scheduling algorithm for real-time or embedded system is priority round robin scheduling algorithm. Priority round robin scheduling algorithm is a preemptive algorithm. Each process is given time quantum. Each process has a priority. Here time quantum 3 is given. The higher the time quantum, the more the context switching. By the use of OS-SIM, simulation can be understood easily and thoroughly. The statistics, will be calculated automatically by the system by the simulator, like the number of context switching, average waiting time, average turn around time, and average responds time. With one example, by using quantum=3. The average turn around time is 18.25 ms. The Average Waiting Time is 12 ms. The Average Responds time is 2.75 ms. The total burst time is 25 ms.

Abstract

Abstract: Fuzzy C-Means Clustering (FCM) has been widely known as a technique for performing data clustering, such as image segmentation. This study will conduct a trial using the Normalized Cross Correlation method on the Fuzzy C-Means Clustering algorithm in determining the value of the initial fuzzy pseudo-partition matrix which was previously carried out by a random process. Clustering technique is a process of grouping data which is included in unsupervised learning. Data mining generally has two techniques in performing clustering, namely: hierarchical clustering and partitional clustering. The FCM algorithm has a working principle in grouping data by adding up the level of similarity between pairs of data groups. The method applied to measure the similarity of the data based on the correlation value is the Normalized Cross Correlation (NCC). The methodology in this research is the steps taken to measure clustering performance by adding the Normalized Cross Correlation (NCC) method in determining the initial fuzzy pseudo-partition matrix in the Fuzzy C-Means Clustering (FCM) algorithm. the results of data clustering using the Normalized Cross Correlation (NCC) method on the Fuzzy C-Means Clustering (FCM) algorithm gave better results than the ordinary Fuzzy C-Means Clustering (FCM) algorithm. The increase that occurs in the proposed method is 4.27% for the Accuracy, 4.73% for the rand index and 8.26% for the F-measure..

Abstract

Beetles (Order Coleoptera) are the largest order of animals. Beetles are a group of insects that make up the order Coleoptera. Estimates of the total number of living beetle species are millions of beetle species whose features make it difficult to visually identify beetle species. Currently, the beetle classification process is still carried out using direct observation and personal assumptions. CNN model ResNet50 is one of the ResNet variants that has 50 layers and VGG16 is a CNN model that utilizes a convolutional layer with a small convolutional filter specification (3×3) and always uses the same padding and maxpool layers of a 2x2 filter. In this Algorithm (CNN) with the ResNet50 model, it succeeded in exploring beetles with accuracy, precision, recall and F-1 Score with values of 93%, 94.24%, 89.28%, 91.69%, while the VGG16 model succeeded in conducting research on beetle species with accuracy, precision, recall and F-1 Score with values of 86.9%, 87.5%, 87%, 87.2%, so it can be said that the classification of beetle species using the CNN algorithm with the ResNet50 model is better than the VGG16 model.
