Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the language style using the theory of Martin Joos. This study aims to find out the kinds of language styles used in movie and to identify the dominant language style used by the main characters in the movie. This study used the descriptive method. The data were collected through utterances of major characters in the movie. The results show two main points. The first finding relates to the kind of language styles used in the movie; formal style, casual style, consultative style, and Intimate style. The second finding is the dominant language style; casual style and intimate style. In accordance with the findings, the researchers would like to suggest to further researchers to analyze other elements of language style, such as the functions language style.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak melalui Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dua siklus yang terdiri dari: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa pembelajaran akidah akhlak dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa untuk setiap indikator yang diteliti. Peningkatan aktivitas siswa yang dimaksud adalah terjadinya peningkatan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Siswa aktif merespon pertanyaan guru, mengemukakan alasan, menjelaskan kepada teman, mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok dan membuat kesimpulan Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Akidah Akhlak Abstract [Tittle: Improving Student’ Activity In Akidah Akhlak Course Through Problem Based Learning Approach]. This research was aimed to improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak through Problem Based Learning (PBL)at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi city.This was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles in which each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research was the third year students of MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi that consisted of 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation sheet and field note. The data then was analyzed descriptively.The result of the research showed that the use of PBL approach could improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. After applying PBL approach, the students had a willingness to answer teacher’s questions, give opinions and plain them to the peers, present the result of the discussion and take conclusion. Abstract

Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses implementasi penjaminan mutu dengan program sekolah model serta faktor-faktor dominan yang menyertainya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Latar penelitian ini adalah Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan (LPMP) Provinsi Jambi. Peneliti menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam, pengamatan peran serta, dan studi dokumen guna menggali informasi dari informan kunci dan informan lainnya, serta kondisi ril lapangan. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknis analisis data mengalir. Sementara itu untuk meningkatkan keabsahan data dilakukan trianggulasi sumber dan metode, perpanjangan keikutsertaan, pemeriksaan sejawat, dan member cek. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa proses pelaksanaan pelatihan Program Pengembangan Sekolah Model meliputi tahapan sosialisasi dan koordinasi, pengusulan calon sekolah model dan sekolah imbas, penetapan sekolah model dan sekolah imbas, penyiapan dan seleksi Fasilitator Daerah (FASDA). Sedangkan tahapan pelaksanan meliputi pelatihan, implementasi, pendampingan, pengimbasan, monitoring dan evaluasi, dan diseminasi. Kendala yang dialami pada pelaksanaan program pengembangan sekolah model yaitu faktor penghambat berupa dukungan dari pemeritah daerah berupa anggaran dan kinerja pengawas. Kata Kunci: Sekolah Model, Penjaminan Mutu, Kebijakan Pendidikan Abstract [The Design of Model Schools: a Study of Quality Assurance In Education]. This study aims at describing the process of implementation of quality assurance system with model school program and its dominant factors. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach by meant of case study research design. The social setting of this research is the Quality Assurance Institution (LPMP) of Jambi Province. The informant consists of the Head of the Institution (key informant), the stuff, and the head of the School. To collect data researcher employed in-depth interview, participant observation, and study document techniques. The data collected then analyzed by employing flow model analysis. Meanwhile, to improve the validity of the data, the researcher used triangulation of resources and methods, an extension of participation, peer checks, and member checks. The results of the study found that the process of preparing for development of school model consists of socialization and coordination, nomination, selection of school, and selection of district facilitator. The implementation of the program covered the following steps, they are training, assistance, scanning, monitoring and evaluation, and dissemination. The constraints of the Program include local government support and supervisory performance. Key words: Model school program, quality assurance, educational policy

Abstract

This research aims at describing the ability and level of the student’s creative thinking. This is qualitative research. Operationally, this research was conducted with some steps, namely: giving a set of creative thinking test of 26 students to measure the ability and level of their creative thinking and choosing one student randomly from each student’s personality type to be interviewed to search their cognitive knowledge. The results show that every student has a creative thinking ability, but the level of creative thinking varies. The category of student’s creative thinking ability is “moderate or high.” The student’s creative thinking level is “very creative, creative, quite creative, or less creative.” The student’s cognitive knowledge is drawing, designing, ascertaining, dividing, reasoning, analogy, imagining, utilizing, solving, understanding, determining, mentioning, and using trial and error.

Abstract

Abstrak Habermas yang bernama lengkap Jurgen Habermas seorang filosuf Jerman dari mazhab kritis. Ia mengkritik habis epistemologi pendahulunya yakni; Karl Marx terhadap pengandaian-pengandaian dan material historis sebagai cacat fundamental, yang mengkaitkan secara linier kemajuan rasionalitas manusia dengan perkembangan alat-alat produksi. Habermas mengatakan ini dapat terjadi karena materialisme historis mengesampingkan segi-segi komunikatif yang mendasari formasi sosial baru disetiap tahap perkembangan masyarakat. Proses belajar masyarakat secara evolusioner tergantung pada kompetensi individu-individu yang menjadi anggotanya. Kompetensi itu tidak dikembangkan secara individual dan terisolasi, tetapi dengan interaksi sosial melalui perantara struktur-struktur simbolis yang berasal dari dunia kehidupan mereka. Perkembangan kompetensi ini terjadi dalam tiga tahap komunikasi yang oleh Habermas disebut “Sketsa tiga tahap perkembangan kompetensi komunikatif”.Pengendalian teknis terhadap proses-proses yang objektif atau yang diobjektifkan telah menggantikan emansipasi manusia. Kolonisasi paradigma sistem terhadap paradigma dunia-kehidupan telah mengarahkan kesadaran hidup bersama pada perilaku yang manipulatif. Konsekuensi logisnya, wacana pendidikan cenderung mengarahkan dirinya ke dalam logika sistem-industri yang tengah terselenggara, dengan demikian pendidikan niscaya mempertautkan dirinya dengan gerak modernisasi. Kata Kunci: praksis pendidikan, rekonstruksi teori evolusi sosial, dan proses belajar masyarakat. Abstract [Education Praxis according to Habermas (Reconstruction of Social Evolution Theory Through Community Learning Process).]Habermas whose full name is Jurgen Habermas a German philosopher from a critical school. He criticized the epistemology of his predecessors, namely; Karl Marx against historical assumptions and materials as fundamental flaws, which linearly associate the progress of human rationality with the development of the means of production. Habermas says this can happen because historical materialism ignores the communicative aspects underlying new social formations at every stage of community development. The evolutionary process of community learning depends on the competence of the individuals who are members. The competence is not developed individually and isolated, but by social interaction through the intermediaries of the symbolic structures derived from their living world. This development of competence occurs in three stages of communication which Habermas calls the "Sketch of the three stages of the development of communicative competence".The technical control of objective or objectified processes has replaced human emancipation. The colonization of the system paradigm against the life-world paradigm has directed awareness of coexistence on manipulative behavior. The logical consequence, the educational discourse tends to direct itself into the logic of the established industry-system, so education necessarily links itself to the motion of modernization. Abstract

Changing method and environment promotes active participation, interest and meaningful teaching. Field trips allow students to have direct experience and contact with learning objects outside the classroom. This study therefore examined the efficacy of field trip on undergraduate fine and applied arts students in Nigeria University. Quasi‐experimental of pre-test and post-test design was adopted. 60 students were selected. Creative Arts Museum Achievement Test (CAMAT) was employed as test instrument. The result indicated significant difference in the achievements of students. It was therefore recommended that arts lectures should expose students to field trip for personal discovery and learning of arts.

Abstract

This research is a developmental research which aims to find out the learning model to improve students learning outcomes of islamic learning in MadrasahAliyah Negeri 2 Palembang, South Sumatera. Focus in this study was the subject of jurisprudence. This study offers to reconstruct islamic learning (PAI) iin the school which was originally put on the lecture method into cooperative learning methods. So that students do not feel bored and get better learning outcomes. The modal applied in this study is STAD type. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. Form pretest analysis, it can be concluded that there is no difference in significance between pre-test cognitive learning outcomes of experimental class students and control class students. Whereas, post-test cognitive learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and control class students obtaint tcount = 2.560 (Equal variances assumed). While the value of ttable = 2,292, means tcount > ttable (2,560 > 2,292) the Ho rejected. So, it can be concluded that there are differences between post-test cognitive learning outcomes of experimental class students and control class students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model kurikulum terpadu pada sekolah Islam terpadu dalam konteks pembinaan karakter siswa, dengan setting sosial pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu Al Azhar Jambi. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa model kurikulum Sekolah memadukan antara Kurikulum Diknas (K-13) dengan sejumlah program unggulan Sekolah (seperti; tahfidzul qur’an, bahasa arab, praktek ibadah, kunjungan edukatif), yang didukung dengan sistem pembelajaran yang memadukan pendekatan kontekstual, acive learning, dengan pendekatan pembiasaan dan keteladanan. Model ini lebih dekat pada model jaring laba-laba yang menggunakan pendekatan tematik, baru kemudian dikembangkan sub-sub tema dengan memperhatikan kaitannya dengan bidang-bidang studi terkait. Model ini mendukung pembentukan karakter siswa berakhlak mulia, cerdas, kreatif, santun, dan berbudi luhur. Kata kunci: kurikulum terpadu, sekolah Islam fullday, pembangunan karakter Abstract [Integrated Curriculum: A Model of Students’ Character Building at Islamic Fullday School]. The prupose of the study is to describe the model of integrated curriculum implemented in Integrated Islamic Fullday Schools in the context of the students’ character building, where the social setting was at Islamic Junior High School Al Azhar Jambi. By employing a qualitative approach, the study revealed that the School curriculum combines the National Curriculum (K-13) with a number of distingtive Schools program (such as Quran recitation, arabic language, religious practices, educational visits), supported by a learning system that combines a contextual approach, acive learning, habituation, as well as exemplary approaches. This model is closer to the model of webbed that uses a thematic approach, then developed sub-themes with regard relation to the related fields of study This model support the program of students’character building to have a high moral standard, intelligent, creative, polite, and virtuous. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh tingginya penggunaan internet di kalangan masyarakat Indonesia tidak terkecuali oleh mahasiswa, khususnya mahasiswa UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat intensitas mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab UIN Raden Fatah Palembang dalam menggunakan Internet sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan literature online. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan field work research dan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner (angket tertutup), observasi dan dokumentasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab yang aktif pada tahun akademik 2016/2017 sebanyak 349 mahasiswa dan sampel yang digunakan adalah 30% dari jumlah populasi. Adapun sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 orang mahasiswa. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif statistik. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa tingkat intensitas mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab UIN Raden Fatah Palembang dalam menggunakan Internet sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan literature online dalam kategori sedang atau cukup. This research is motivated by the high use of the internet in Indonesian society, not least by students, especially Palembang UIN Raden Fatah students. The purpose of this study was to find out how much the intensity level of the students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang in using the Internet as a fulfillment of online literature needs. This type of research is a field of work research and uses a quantitative research approach with descriptive methods. Data obtained from the results of the questionnaire (closed questionnaire), observation and documentation. The population in this study were all students majoring in Arabic Language Education who were active in the 2016/2017 academic year as many as 349 students and the sample used was 30% of the total population. The sample used in this study was 100 students. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of the study found that the intensity level of the students of the Arabic Language Education Program of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang in using the Internet as fulfillment of online literature needs in the medium or sufficient category.

Abstract

This study evaluated the teaching of anti-corruption course by determining the relationship between the perception of students about lecturers’ teaching methods, learning outcomes, and attitudes toward corruption among bachelor students. Data were withdrawn from questionnaires distributed to 80 students in four faculties and their assessment paper and analysed with Pearson analysis. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between students' perceptions of lecturer teaching methods and attitudes towards anti-corruption (r = 0.031), there was no significant relationship between learning outcomes and attitude towards anti-corruption (r =. 003). Furthermore, regression analysis found that students' perceptions of lecturer teaching methods in the Anti-corruption Course can only predict students’ attitudes toward anti-corruption at 1%, whereas students’ learning outcomes did not affect their attitudes toward anti-corruption.
