Abstract

A growing challenge for organizations in the digital era is how to effectively leverage employee capabilities and emerging technologies to sustain innovation performance. The purpose of this study is to examine how employee sensing capability (ESC) influences employees’ innovative work behavior (EWIB) in the workplace, using Gen AI usage capability (GAUIC) and commitment to innovation (CTI) as sequential mediating variables. This research uses a quantitative approach, and data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 200 workers in the architecture subsector in East Java Province. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 4.1.1.4, applying structural equation modeling—Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that all hypotheses are supported. ESC positively and significantly influences EWIB, both directly and indirectly through GAUIC and CTI. GenAI strengthens the effect of ESC on EWIB by facilitating innovation and ideation processes. In addition, commitment to innovation helps employees sustain innovative behavior when facing workplace challenges. Theoretically, this study extends the innovative work behavior model by introducing sensing capability and GenAI technology as key determinants in the digital context. Practically, the findings suggest that organizations should enhance sensing capability, GenAI literacy, and commitment to innovation through targeted training and innovation-based reward systems.

Abstract

A comprehensive understanding of human development is essential for strengthening talent management, as it ensures the alignment of individual capabilities with organizational and strategic needs. This study employs bibliometric methods alongside the Theory–Context–Characteristics–Method (TCCM) framework to examine developments in human capital and talent management within the global halal ecosystem. A total of 86 publications from 2010 to 2025 were analyzed using R Biblioshiny. The study evaluates methodological trends, conceptual patterns, and existing research gaps. The findings reveal a significant surge in publications after 2020, highlighting the growing strategic importance of halal human resources in the context of digital transformation and global sustainability goals. The dominant theoretical foundations are the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Human Capital Theory; however, integration with Islamic ethical perspectives remains limited. Three major thematic clusters emerge: ethical leadership and Sharia-compliant governance; digital innovation and talent readiness; and human capital development. Based on these insights, the study proposes a Halal Human Capital Excellence Framework that integrates legitimacy, ethics, and digital human capital. It further recommends multi-level and cross-regional empirical studies to validate the proposed model and strengthen both theoretical and policy contributions to future halal talent development.

Abstract

The implementation of good corporate governance principles necessitates the integration of risk management across all operational activities, including procurement. At PT Riset Perkebunan Nusantara (PT RPN), several issues have been identified in the procurement process, including potential fraud, administrative inconsistencies, limited staff understanding of procurement procedures, and delays in supplier performance. These issues indicate that procurement risks stem not only from external factors but also from internal control deficiencies. This study applies Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risk sources and evaluate their severity, likelihood of occurrence, and detectability. Data were collected through interviews with key stakeholders involved in the procurement process. The analysis generated Risk Priority Number (RPN) values ranging from 168 to 729, reflecting varying levels of vulnerability across different procurement stages. Each stage demonstrates a distinct risk profile in terms of impact, frequency, and the effectiveness of existing controls. The three highest-priority risks identified were C2 (RPN = 729), E1 (RPN = 648), and E3 (RPN = 630). These findings highlight the urgency of strengthening procurement governance to mitigate risks and enhance overall process reliability.

Abstract

Digital transformation has accelerated the integration of marketing, sales, and information technology (IT) functions in managing customer interactions. However, the mechanisms through which these functions interact and achieve strategic alignment remain insufficiently understood. Concurrently, the emergence of customer success management (CSM) requires sales professionals to extend their responsibilities beyond the transaction phase to encompass ongoing customer experience and success. This study aims to explore the forms and dynamics of organizational alignment among marketing, sales, and IT actors using a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with four M–S–I triadic groups, including executive leaders, representing all stages of the customer journey. The analysis focuses on identifying interaction patterns, coordination challenges, and key factors influencing the effectiveness of cross-functional alignment. The findings reveal six primary dimensions comprising twenty attributes that collectively define the construct of organizational alignment. These insights are synthesized into a conceptual framework termed COMPLY, designed as an operational tool to assess and refine cross-functional M–S–I alignment. Furthermore, the study proposes several propositions that explain intra-dimensional relationships and intervention mechanisms across dimensions to enhance collaborative effectiveness. This research contributes to the literature on organizational alignment and customer success management, while also offering a practical framework for managers to optimize marketing–sales–IT integration in support of sustainable CSM implementation.

Abstract

Employee engagement plays a critical role in organizational success, as engaged employees tend to invest more time, assume additional responsibilities, support colleagues, and demonstrate higher levels of job satisfaction, performance, and organizational commitment. However, with the increasing shift toward outsourcing, its implications for work engagement remain insufficiently explored. This analytical correlational study, grounded in established theoretical perspectives, was conducted at a premier healthcare institution of national importance in New Delhi to examine levels of work engagement and job insecurity among regular and outsourced employees, as well as their association with locus of control—a construct reflecting individuals’ perceived control over significant life events. The study population consisted of 576 outsourced and 1,099 regular employees, with a final sample of 562 respondents, including 166 regular and 396 outsourced employees. The findings indicate that work engagement is higher among outsourced employees and increases with internal locus of control, age, experience, and lower job insecurity, while it is not influenced by gender or education level. Locus of control does not vary significantly with age, experience, gender, or education. Additionally, outsourced employees exhibit higher internal locus of control and lower job insecurity. Job insecurity decreases with age, experience, and internal locus of control, is not affected by education level, and is higher among female employees.

Abstract

Understanding how information influences consumer behavior during a public health crisis is crucial for both businesses and policymakers in managing risk communication and sustaining economic activity. Since the announcement of the first case of COVID-19 in early March 2020, the timeline across both mass and social media has been dominated by information about the virus. This information has increased public awareness of the risk of contracting COVID-19 when engaging in activities outside the home, including shopping. As a result, most shopping activities have shifted online. However, online shopping does not entirely eliminate the risk of virus transmission. This study aims to investigate the impact of COVID-19 information in mass and social media on trust in online retailers and online shopping behavior, with risk perception as a mediating variable. A survey was conducted with 1,212 respondents across Indonesia, and the data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results indicate that COVID-19-related information directly influences consumers’ online purchasing behavior, while trust in online retailers affects behavior indirectly through the mediation of risk perception.
